the guy i bought it from found one in japan and had it shipped over here. it was a used engine from a terrano and the transmission came with it. i guess you'd have to hunt for it. if u do find one, the engine mounts are in a different location then the 2.4 gas motor (its what was originally what came with my truck). i had to have a buddy help me cut the driver side engine mount off the frame and weld it in its new location further toward the back. the passenger mount didnt need to move

hello mate ! i have the same engine on my D21 , 2.7 TD 5 speed manual . this engine last forever ! my is from 1996 and sounds and works like new ... nice video by the way !
its a straight pipe exhaust, no muffler, no catalytic converter. not sure of the diameter but i think its a 3" exhaust. and idk what the turbo pressure is because i dont have a boost gauge. id imagine its whatever the stock pressure is for the engine
not yet, im eventually gonna get it hooked up. i need a special sensor to make the diesel engine have a working tach. i might get an aftermarket gauge too since the redline is different on these engines compared to the 2.4 gas engine. i believe it redlines at 5,000-5,500 rpm but i have no idea when that is so i never drive this truck very hard or fast. but its not a speed demon by any means lol
i'll be sure to include that in my next video for ya. sometime in the next two weeks im adding a new video to show all the modifications ive had done while i was deployed like new wheels, tires, shift knobs, window tint. keep letting me know what you wanna see so i can help make my videos better suited to my viewers :)
Another thing would be the fuel system. I have checked around and can get an engine and transmission but they couldnt offer me any guaranteed fuel system parts so that I could convert from gas to diesel.
im sorry i cant help you out there. i have a friend that used to work on these engines in forklifts and delivery trucks so he helped me get the fuel pump. i dont know how the guy i bought it from did the fuel lines, but i know its the same fuel tank it had before the conversion

And second I have a nissan d21 4wd that my dad did a diesel conversion with a td27t turbo (td27b) on the Japanese salvage markings before he passed away was your truck originally diesel? And you just upgraded? My father adored d21's and built 2 from the ground up. With the same engine from Japan. I would like to know more details about your engine set-up and I am looking for parts too if you know of.any sources here I can use.

Dude this is awesome! I live down in Georgia and I have a 02 Nissan Frontier I really want to do a swap in. Is it the turbo engine? Also you think it would work with an automatic? I have alot of questions..Thanks!

Hello! I am wondering how you got the 2.7 motor into the US? I am wanting to do the same swap with my '95 D21, but have no clue on where to find such an engine.
It gets about 21-25 mpg now that I added the big tires. It used to get 25 city 35 Hwy. Reliability is great, that engine is unstoppable
td 27 is one of the best engines ever made
true! My Mitsubishi Shogun is equipped with those engine with turbo from 2.8L engine.
It does give quite pack of torques.

You can't go wrong with the TD27T engine. Many ex London Taxi's with that engine have done 400,000 miles and still going.

Yeah are terranos with td27 engines alright with fuel?
Ha ha yeah. I had to rewire the gage cluster on mine because the old power wire melted. Not its on a toggle switch

Nice conversion you have done. Your TD27 seems to smoke abit more than most, have you adjusted the fuel pump? also did you install an intercooler?
Its Floran diesel they always smoke, That and it has no emissions

Hi, i have terrano with 2,7TD euro, but my exhaust sound a bit different, you cut off the mufflers? or what is the secret :D? turbo pressure?
Are you using the stock trans? How the hell do you get an adapter plate for it?
