Chorus is one of the building blocks of my "sound." Stereo chorus amp- stereo chorus pedal (18V Danelectro Cool Cat) for when I go direct.
The Police, Prince, all the synthpop stuff from the 80's... Allllllll the chorus.

Good stuff! I especially liked seeing you build up the preset with the different blocks and the reasons for each. Recently, since the 3.0 update, I've been going through all the different blocks, one at a time and just seeing what they all are. It takes forever but it's cool.

Back in the day, I used to always use a Dimension pedal (the DC-2 from '87). Then, went from that to a CE-2 chorus from '83 (loved that pedal, used it for decades). I still use chorus today on my HX Stomp for certain songs (electric and acoustic). I use the 70's Chorus (since it's based on the CE-1...and well, I used a CE-2 for so long and it was based off the same pedal).
That's awesome...I never had a chorus pedal before the ones in the Stomp...The Stomp has enlightened me! :)
I didn't even realize dimension chorus was a part of the helix products. I love the way it thickens the sound on sw1 or 2 without adding so much movement to the sound.

Would you put chorus before or after the drive?
I put it after my drive section and before my other wet effects. Sometimes I play with my wet effects before my cab to get a more gritty sound....and then after my cab to get a more pristine sound. So for how I like to run chorus very clean and pristine...I put it after anything that would push gain through it.
Now that I have eight blocks, chorus might be a good option with low DSP.

The Helix stomp is full of almost unusable sounds until you you start tweaking them into sensible sounds.
They needed MUCH better stock sounds for sure. I'm curious how many people have bought and sold the Stomp out of frustration with how much you have to knob tweak. Once you do though, its as good as any other modeler out there.
I agree....it takes some tweaking (which I love doing)...and I find that if you have experience with other pieces of gear...it comes more naturally.
It's all good to play guitar with chorus . But I can say this a true worship song is one the lord gives you and only the holy spirit can give the true utterance of true praise. Most people dont even know the lord say they praise me with there lips but there hearts are far from me.
