That david funk touch of heaven bridge part sounds killer with vibrato. That eerie iridescent vibe on those single notes 😮
Right?? It gets me every time 🔥
Anw love your tone, I have yet to incorporate an octave pedal into my setup. I don’t have board estate for pog2. Have you tried the micro/nano and how it matches up to fork?
Now man, you are giving me an idea how to use this pedals... Praise the Lord
Glad this was helpful! 🙏🏻
Never thought id be watching someone play worship guitar, but some pretty cool tones you got there.
Hey Al, thanks I appreciate it! 🙌🏻
Really solid videos man. Honestly haven’t seen content quite like this on CZcams in the way that you present the material. Keep it up and this channel will be huge
Thanks man! Just trying to serve other guitar players out there ❤
So good dude. Love how you use these effects!!
Thanks my man!🙏🏻
Great video! I had never really used vibrato until recently and it makes such a difference for lead lines.
Thanks man! It really makes such a big difference. Super fun to use too!
Great video - I just played great things last Sunday! I recently got the GFI Synesthesia and have been trying to fit more modulation into my playing. I've started using tremolo for some ambient parts which has been really fun.
Thanks man! The Synesthesia is awesome, I've been wanting to try one out for a while now!
Nice! Keep up the good work!
Thanks! 🤘🏻
I have the Julia and pitch fork as well! Great video 👌
Thanks! Yess they’re such a good combo ❤️
Ahh great modulation tips!
Thanks Aaron! 🙌🏻
Great video! I would add tremolo to the list of essential worship modulations. I feel like it’s perfect for sets that are on the folk/acoustic side of things.
Totally agree! I would have bundled tremolo in if I had one haha 😅
Great video! 👍
Thanks!
awesome! btw what was the 2nd riff you played for chorus demonstration?
Thanks! That was the rhythm guitar part for the bridge section of Great Things
The chorus also can help distinguish your part from the other guitar player.
Great point! Totally agree 👌🏻
Do you have any typos on chords?
Great video! You pu your Julia before or after drives?
Nvm, I checked your pedalboard walkthrough 😃
@@rafaelrada9861 Lol glad that video helped! Let me know if you have any other questions 🤘🏻
I will have after watching your recent MIDI video XD @@SamWittek
Hey, where do you put your iridium in the chain and why? Mines at the beginning but my over drive pedal sounds terrible on the PA system
Hey! I put my iridium at the very end of my chain, mainly because I want it to act exactly the same as my amp would. Overdrives will definitely sound a lot better going into the iridium as opposed to the other way around. Hope this helps!
@@SamWittek Thank you, after trying to figure things out, I placed it like this:
Tuner, Gate(Ive a noisy Tele), Compressor, Pitch Shifter, overdrive, IRIDIUM, volume pedal, chorus, reverb, delay, done. In this way I can emulate feeding time and modulations fx going into the amp loop, which makes them sound less clipped. Since Im running it like this, I probably can benefit adding a DI box as my last “pedal” before going to the Console.
What do you think?
Describing sounds is so abstract
Right? lol gotta love all the crazy adjectives we come up with to describe sounds
If you have a chorus, do you actually need a compressor? It sounds compressed already.. Just my thought. It definitely sounds fuller/wider to me. Is your pedal stereo?
I'm using the two very differently from one another, so it's definitely worth it for me. I'm using the compressor first in the chain as an always on "tone polisher", and I'm using the chorus more traditionally for the chorus effect later in my signal chain. This particular one isn't stereo, but they do have a stereo version that would be super cool to upgrade to at some point!
I run with the POG 2 but am thinking of getting rid of it. I dont really use it like it can be used so its not only a waste of space on my board but a waste of money as well. Id like to down size.
The POG 2 is awesome but I totally get wanting to downsize!
I had the Micro POG for years and “upgraded” to the POG 2 and really regretted it. It did too much and I couldn’t look down at it and know what it was going to do when I turned it on. 😂 I eventually sold it and got the Walrus Audio Luminary and then I got the Boss OC-5 when it came out and have been happy with it enough to let the Luminary go. But I still miss the Micro POG… not many pedals I would buy again. The pitchfork really reminds me of the those tones.
@@countstoneula I like the simpler pedals. Set it and forget it. I feel the same about my Walrus Audio D1 delay pedal. It offers a bunch of different settings that I don't really use in a worship set.
Sam, what church do you play primarily for?
I'm actually getting ready to move in a week or so, but typically just play for my local home church in central florida
Which porter pickups are those??
They’re the Porter Tele customs ❤️
All those pedal links are out of stock
Thanks for the heads up! I'll check on that. In the meantime my other go-to's for grabbing pedals are Sweetwater or Reverb if you want to go used
Worship and the Pitchfork pedal is an interesting combination 😅 I can imagine some preachers questioning if that pedalboard is satanic
haha I've had the same thought. But hey I didn't choose the name! 😅
The pitchfork image isn't a satanic reference, it's a reference to tuning forks.
I thought the same jokingly about the Morning Star MIDI controller. That is another name for satan right? Wasn’t that the name of the devil before his fall from Grace?
Worship music? No thanks.
