The fierro is possibly the worst turd gm ever squeezed out. (And gms best is still trash)
The Fiero wasn't a horrible car on paper, but with beancounters and poor management getting in the way, it never really achieved its original design potential. Typical GM - too busy with infighting between it's own internal brands to bother with actual competition in the marketplace. :-P

Lol nah his older brothers MR2 has been on the channel in a build review before. Fun fact though Woody has driven Marty's MR2 as well. If you watch the Skid Factory Injector pump episode on MCMTV2 you'll see them driving around in that SW20. I think Al does mention that he's not a fan of the MR2 even then lol.

That's the camera fooling you under the lights, the car is faded in various shades of red, which is how you feel owning one...sometimes.

7AGE would be more work than rebuilding the original engine
7age just isn’t worth it IMO. The long rod/stroke and the weak block are just really limiting.
You’re better off building a 4agze. Or stuffing a beams in.
@@Binford2500 3's are pretty heavy/complicated to fit. A 2zz-ge pretty much bolts in and is lighter than the 4age.
People are making massive power from 7agte's. So 7ag platforms are far from weak.
I'm a 4ag fan of 25 years now. Love the 4ag! Awesome motor.
Big Papa agree with you, the 2zz is pretty much bolt in (few mods) as I put a 2zz in my corolla witch also had the 4age before

I reckon the engine building departments of each manufacturer had pool tables in their areas, and the poor losers of matches would throw the eight ball at the winners, but kept missing. Those eight balls kept turning up in the strangest of places until found, years later. 🎱

The red aw11's were notorious for fading something shocking. The paint looks alright for a car thats sat outside for so long.
That is the factory spot for the ecu, its meant to mount firewall side of that boot.
Fun fact that around 160 the engine hatch floats almost fully open in the air.
You boys should have some of the Aw11 anonymous guys that live somewhere around your workshop also.

My friend bought a Brand New Red Mr2 in 88' and I wont lie....Always felt COOL whenever we went out cruising friday nights....fun little car.
I can’t wait to see what unfolds. It doesn’t matter what car with these guys, every episode if awesome. We are so spoilt having these guys.

It looks like a Silvertop sprayed black, one way to tell is the size of the throttle bodies, 48mm for silvertop and 52mm for black
nah it looks like a BT, it has the 3 spoke exhaust cam pulley and it has the hydo timing belt tensioner

SW11 fun little car. My misses wrote ours off. Think it popped a tyre at 100k's. Head first into one tree and then managed to spin collecting another 2 trees. Driver/passenger area still square but car looked like a banana. She only suffered the seatbelts kiss across the chest. Great to see the little red beast being given life again
I’ve fond memories of a mates mk1, especially the time we got stopped by the cops and they asked if it was his mums car 😂

Good to hear Alan on the other side of the Mic and camera for a change. His quick wit and dry humour is what this build needs. Woody does a great job of the editing work too. Great team work fellas, the banter and humour is just a bonus, and I laugh harder when my so called mechanic mates don't get the joke.

Needs a v6 with a safety turbo, I've heard several times that camry motors fit with minimal persuasion

I have a weakness for these cars. I learned how to drive a manual in an 85 model back in highschool. I absolutely love the 4age platform as well. They are especially good when you mate the 16 valve bigport head to a 1.8 7afe block and throw some boost at it.
I've owned aw11's for 25 years. Love them!
