BNF Blade Chroma conversion to ST10+ test flight

The conversion from Spektrum was very easy. Just swap it the receiver and you are away. Quite a windy day. And I didn't go high or beyond my own back garden. Quite impressed!

+1BadThaiGuy Glad you found it useful. I searched everywhere & in the end took a chance on a bargain ST10+ tx and CG02+ and bought the RX - and it worked! The tx swap takes literally 5 mins and just involves plugging the new tx into the alternative wire coming out of the board as the first wire. The Spektrum rx has a different plug to the Yaneec one, so no chance of a mix up. The aerial wires just post up the rear two arms of the quad. Binding is per the horizon videos. The ST10+ knows that it is binding to a Chroma & shows a photo of it (this was not a Blade badged ST10+). You need to make sure that the firmware on the ST10+ and Camera is up to date and there are two things to update on the ST10+, you must do ''system update' as well as the radio firmware - this link is the only place I have seen this explained : yuneec-forum.com/threads/st10-with-new-firmware-missing-gear-icon-and-watch-me-icon.404/I'll try and do a video as you suggest.

Just a few weeks. In the first place I bound it to a Spektrum Dx8, then a Dx10t. It works very well with these, but I wanted to try the features of the st10+ such as the telemetry and one came up cheaply.

I bought the ST10+(Blade Branded)brand new on Ebay for $200 and the RX.
Going to do a video but I just want to make sure that the connection is "one" RX male plug that connects into the other female adapter from the chroma board. there is a Female adapter on the ST10 RX board also. can you confirm how many wires are connected to the RX from the chroma board?

+1BadThaiGuy Both the spectrum and the yuneec receivers have a cable with a plug on the end. These plugs are each slightly different to each other. So you cannot accidently plug the wrong receiver into the wrong plug on the end of one of the two the cables coming from the chroma board. Each receiver only has a single connection to the board. I think you should make sure that you completely remove the receiver that you are not using - ie don't leave them both plugged in at the same time. Push the antennas from the RX into each of the rear arms of the body inside. Binding is the usual turn upside down after power up (with the blades taken off). Good luck. Hope this helps.
