It looks great Justin, thanks 4 the share...
Great video Justin. Very informative.
Wow always thought these chroma's looked really plasticy....Nice looking bird after this rebuild
that is frigen awesome
nice vid
You didn't show WHERE to mount the USB or WHERE to mount the antenna...other than that good video!!! I am NeW to drones and I know where the USB and antenna were located in the original body but not sure where to attach them in this Rakon frame
I got this from amazon Rakon
Rakonheli Blade Chroma CNC Advanced Upgrade Kit 03 (Black) - Chroma982. but the USB port doesn't fit anywhere.
Since the Chroma is being discontinued, are there any plans to drop the price of this frame? It looks like a really nice frame that was obviously carefully tailored; but for $250... Sorry, I just don't see it.
Any chance you or someone can point me into a RTF KIT. I would love to build it myself. I used to build RC Nitro Kits before. This looks very sexy and strong so i would love to see complete kits.
When are you going to do a flight test video for this awesome build?
+Taharqa Saaba asap we hope! - JD.
Hi Justin, do you know what the 3 pin motor connector is called? Is it a proprietary connector? Thanks for a great video!
I don’t sorry
Justin, I am very close to picking up a Chroma 4k this will be my first drone. I really like this kit as well. I am not a stranger to RCs and building.. what I do want to know...with this kit does the quadcopter still fit a standard chroma backpack/case?
+Rob Lochard good question. It should yes.
That's pretty sweet. did Blade ever release a firmware update that includes point of interest mode? i'm looking to be able to orbit a point of interest that's not the pilot or the controller. If so, it would be great to use for real estate!
Unfortunately no. I doubt it it will ever happen either, since Blade Chroma as a series itself is sadly being discontinued entirely. Perhaps they'll drop the price of the frame sometime because of this.
The double sided tape for the LED lights seems a little off. They were in the plastic with tabs now on the new one with tape, seems to be something missed from Rakon.
Nice job! Guess you haven't done th fly video? I am hoping th Wi-FI is more reliable. My Wi-Fi comes and goes, I have been out in th middle of no where and in town, not much different, is there any way to improve this? Is there something wrong with the one i have? I like th upgrade. Is there anything you can say to make like it more then i do. Its ok exp. for th Wi-Fi. Thank you for th video and any thing you can help me with. Cheers
+Tom MacBride to stabilize your wifi and get further distance try the Yuneec Ultimate upgrade range extender kits available on www.rexuav.com --- Yes it shows the black Q500 ST10+. The antennas are the same. This kit will extend the range and help with your signal issue. best kit out there from REX UAV. Price: $299
Great video,...... where do I mount the antenna module and run the two the antennas?
Thanks -Dave
+Iguana Dave We mounted them on the middle deck with just a couple pieces of clear tape to hold them on the deck and extend out on the carbon arms. Should work fine.
Part of my question is answered here..the antenna but where do you mount the USB?
Any future firmware update for waypoints and POI? or HH will just leave us owners hanging just like what it did to Blade 350qx3 owners?
+Quad Addict Horizon said from the beginning that although Chroma's hardware is fully capable of it, they will not be adding waypoints. They did not give a reason why. Perhaps legal reasons? It would be cool if they changed their mind.
They could do this for phantom
It looks great..... until all of the Chroma white is added (props, batt, gimbal). Makes for too much mismatch in my opinion. That alone might keep me in the stock air frame
Can this still fit in the Chroma case?
+Derrick Lewis i think its taller. might have to cut the foam. - JD
👎😠
I just got it and it cost me 290 .by is a monster
Years later they still want a fortune for this frame. What the hell.
Looks great, but i can't see the average "JOE" even attempting this.
+Charles A. Ragucci you're not the average Joe... Charles. ;D
First 😂😂😂
