After 37 total flights, today when it initialized to start a flight, the Chroma started a very rapid "beep" sound in Smart mode. I gambled with a low-level lift-off which went fine, but the Chroma drifted badly with the moderate cross breeze, even in Angle mode and all with good numbers of Sats. Came home, tried compass and accelerometer calibrations and still the same problem. Remembered your vid, went through it and PRESTO!!! She hovers beautifully and NO beeping! ***CAVEAT FOR ALL*** As Robert Fekete noted below, BEFORE hitting "finish" in each stage, CENTER the camera-tilt and "rabbit/turtle" speed sliders on the sides. wow,,, buddy, you just saved me a weekend of grief,,, I had an issue with my model drifting forward and another with using smart mode, obviously because the sticks were not calibrated to center,,, thanks so much for your vid,, it really hooked me up,, your the man,,!!
CCKing, I can't tell you how much this helped me. My Chroma was experiencing a drift problem due to a gimbal calibration issue. This cleared it up. Man o Man, you are the "MAN". Thanks you so very much for sharing this information/video.

I just got mine 2 days ago, yesterday being my first flight. It would pull hard to the left when gps was not on. I hope this corrects that. Either way very informative, and thank you for sharing.
Great Video. It fixed my problem with drone lifting on its own. But now having drone battery level telemetry problems. All 3 batteries start out fine but after only 2 minutes gets incorrect reading and starts low voltage flashing/warning and self lands. Any ideas? Thanks

big help was able to see why my drone was drifting right. it wouldn't register left so I gave it a love tap and then tried and everything went green. no more drifting

yes and you can check if your sticks are pulling by going to the hardware monitor inside the flight settings; I found out my right stick was pulling to one side a bit. my q500 was drifting right constantly and was very unstable. calibrating the sticks via this video fixed it
Chris, I have the same issue with the right controller not going to green on J4. What do I do when I go in to the hardware monitor? How do I adjust it so it will go green and be aligned .Thanks
+Robert Gunter Hey Robert I had the same problem with mine. I couldn't get any of the boxes in the first section to go green so I just hit next. In the second section I could not get J4 to go green due to it constantly holding a 10 value in hardware monitor. so while in the second section I really racked on the J4 stick. took a min of moving it to max left then releasing letting it spring back to center (same with right) and it finally went green. then it was zeroed again in hardware monitor. So give that right stick hell until it goes green... hope that helps - Zee
Hi CCKing, please help. I have a problem with my ST10+ touch screen which is not responding to the touch properly. An area of the lower part of the screen keeps on activating and opening up even without me touching the area, because of this other areas of the screen are compromised and cannot access and not responding to the touch because of this. I noticed the problem started after I stuck on both suctions pads from the black sunvisor on to the front screen as I was getting too much glare from the sun. I am thinking the suction pads may have been pressed in too hard against the screen and somewhat damaged the screen touch panel. Looking forward for your expert advise. Thanks

I recently bought a yuneec Q500 quadcopter my drone is white but my controller is black St10+ what does that mean every drone I see on CZcams the controller color matches the drone color
I think you have a Q500 4K controller. Meaning the Q500 controller is white and the 4K model is black. It really don’t mean anything other then that how you know what model of drone|controller you have. As far as controller they are the same Interchangeable.
My right controller stayed in the red when I did the first test, J1,J2,J3 were good, but J4 remained red. Do you know what this means and how can I correct it? My Q 500 4K is drifting to the right when I hover and I think this is the issue. Accelerometer and compass has been calibrated. Thanks

+Peter Stirland You may never need too, but on my controller I would have my quad pointing straight and I would push my stick straight and the Quad would move a little to the side and not straight ahead.
How do you fix the touchscreen problem? Also, when I did the calibration, the J2 block stayed red. I tried rotating the stick multiple times but it still remained red.
I called Horizon Hobby to see if I could get a stronger signal on my video feed back to the controller, and they said "no" is there anyway I can get a stronger signal ? when I have tree branches / leaves between me and the droan I loose video ! ? and the droan is not that far away, is this something I have to put up with ?
tinkergene, I had the same issues with my ST10+ video feed signal dropping at very close range (50-125 feet approx). I did a bit of online research and decided to buy the Itelite Antenna specifically designed for the Yuneec ST10/10+. I bought it, installed it and now I have vastly improved video at much greater range. I do not work for nor am I tied in any way to Carolina Dronz. Carolina. Just do the search for them. It fixed my issues! Hope this may help you. They were great to work with.

hi king.....i did the calibration as you instructed.... J2 will not go green on either test... please help me with this situation.... i noticed my yaw turns very slowly or not at all during flight,,,so i only hover my bird at about 5 ft ...fearing something else may go wrong...this test is confirming my fear... the yaw isnt working, but why?

+Karlo Osimo Are you using a class 10 card? If the card is slow it will break your files up into smaller sizes. This happens because the card can't keep up.

My hardware monitor indicates the J2 is at the number 9 and J4 is at 0. I hit reset several times and it did not change the settings. Any suggestions?

I did my firmware updates and now my drone won't respond after I get it in the air above me. Could this solve my problem?

J2 Is the Home/Angle/Smart switch, when you operate it does it still stay red?

yes. I noticed if I give a small tap to the controller then it works fine . something is loose inside
