- Pick and partial gut of Miwa U9:
9 levers with false gates, serrations, zero mastering, and a sidebar.
As of today 08/23/22, Miwa U9 with Zero mastering ranks as a Black Belt Level 2 with Lock Pickers United
Big thanks to @RetepReyem for helpful tips on presetting levers and adding the flat spots to my lever mapping. Had I not preset a few levers, the mean false gate on lever 8 would never allow me to recover without dropping. Thanks for also sending the 3D printed Cutaway which was a huge learning aid.
To TypeRegal, the locksport community is lucky to have folks like yourself designing cutaway models such as the U9 cutaway. I have no doubt it reduced HOURS of learning feedback. Thank you 🙌🏻

Awesome picking! You dominated that u9! Thanks for the shout out too! It's nice to see you back at it ☕☕☕🎉
Always appreciate your help & support big homie 🤘🏻😁
Nicely picked and really awesome video👌
Especially the preparation and the creation of the map was new for me, super interesting 👌
Thanks and Cheers 🍻
Thank you! The cutaway and mapping + helpful tips from Retep made this possible for me. I fully recommend the cutaway & mapping combo. It sped up the feedback learning process by light years.
When you’re faced with a false gate before a true gate on a lever, preset the preceding binding levers to their serrations before their true gates to drop the sidebar to just the right height. Work past the false gate into true, then click the preceding levers into true gate for an open.
The false gates are deep. Doesn’t seem recoverable without dropping levers all over the place.
Thanks for stopping by!
@@L0ckJocKey Thank you for this detailed and explanatory answer. Really appreciate that.
Excellent job my friend and nicely mapped!
Heck yeah, thank you. Never thought I’d branch away from standard PT + type locks. Happy to start trying wafers and levers now.
Nicely done mate!
Ayye, thanks!
