Today I made a comfortable office chair from old Fiat Punto car and old office chair base. It is so comfortable and relaxing that you can sit it for hours without hurting

idoit that too my last chair only 10 months after break into 2 pieces mostly plastic,i go to a junk yard i buy a car sit and set into the base of my old desk chair is very comfort :D

You have one really big flaw in your design. That is the sitting position. In a car you are next to the floor, and your legs are up. On an office chair you are way up the floor. So you have to compensate that by leaning the chair forward at least 30° ifnot your legs are going to be compress by the sitting possition. And they are going to hurt a lot. I made the same mistake on my first chair. And it was not that straight, it had a 10° inlcination, you need more, you then adjust the back seat possition at pleasure. And you need to take some of the frame off before soldering, thats just too much extra wight
