    I’ve got a MS pre-facelift 2015. I’m trying to change the rear bench seat to a 2018 seat. Having a problem getting the old seat out. It’s well stuck. Is there any wiring for heated seat or seat belt warning that might have different type plugs I’m wondering.

    • @backshopelectric
      @backshopelectric  Před 2 lety

      Be careful removing the rear seat base. A friend of mine sliced his pinky finger putting it back in. There are two plastic retainers at the front of the seat base. You will likely render them useless removing the seat base. I do know if the wiring is different but I know that seat can be a real pain. Check out fixyourtesla.com for the proper procedures.

    • @backshopelectric
      @backshopelectric  Před 4 lety +2

      Cristian Dediu the bracket is the same, but the drivers seat will require disconnecting the memory seat module and wiring directly to each adjustment motor individually, changing the polarity to change direction of movement. The passenger seat is far less complicated

    • @backshopelectric
      @backshopelectric  Před 2 lety

      I believe the MSM needs some sort of IBIT signal from the MCU at start up, power alone doesn’t work in my experience. The first Gen seats were chosen for this video because of the switching mechanism simplicity.
