Excellent setup. The Unlimited is on my list next if I can ever sell my slayer max. I’m over in Western NC and seems like no one wants a fishing kayak over here Lol. Anyway, your rig is awesome. Love that you have an emergency ladder on it. So many people overlook stuff like that. I flipped mine last year on Holston reservoir and couldn’t get back in. Had to swim kick it to the bank. Not fun.

I tried putting my transducer on a switchblade about where you have yours and hated it!!! I think you will end up moving it as well

Yeah I am not crazy about it being there but I liked it less everywhere else I’ve tried it (by my seat and up front)…eventually I’d like to get NuCanoe’s scupper mount for it…my friend has one for his Unlimited and loves it

I am trying to figure out which is the best trolling motor to put on a Unlimited. I was looking at the Min Koto Terrova or the MotorGuide xi3 what do you recommend.

I am currently using a Motorguide Xi5 and had previously used a Minn Kota Powerdrive. I haven’t used the Xi3 or Terrova specifically.
My overall experience with both brands though has me wanting to swap my Xi5 for a Terrova.
The Motorguide is SIGNIFICANTLY quieter compared to Minn Kota, but I had a MUCH better experience with the autopilot and spot lock features on Minn Kota’s iPilot system. I also like Minn Kota’s iPilot remote better than Motorguide’s remote.
I stick with the Motorguide for now because it is a 24v 80lb thrust motor that lets me cover distance fast regardless of the current or wind.
