I know I'm late to the game with this comment, but I really want to thank you for the step-by-step walk through of your pro-fishing kayak here. Wow, this is an amazing fishing setup here! You have a new subscriber here!
man, this is a clean set up. I really like the way your catch board is mounted, really convenient and now I'm going to mount mine in a similar way. keep up the great content!
Wow...very nice job on the build. Well thought out and professional, if you can fish as good as the kayak looks then you'll be top of the leader board 👍
Awesome tight setup. You have great vision and great designs. I have watched both your nucanoe setup videos and a couple questions: 1. In the update video what is your battery box in the back? How did you make it? You just had open battery in first video and a new battery box in second video. 2. You mentioned in the first setup video that your switchplate by your seat got water in it and I have seen other nucanoe videos talking about those factory plates bowing upwards, not fitting flush and letting water in underneath. It looks like you changed your switches in the second video. Did you find a way to change the plates too so that they fit flush and keep water out? How did you build those. 3. What was the box you bought for the top of your homemade tackle bin behind the seat you screwed onto the top of the box-it was your quick grab box on top? You also took it off in the second video. Did not not work out well? Looked like a cool idea to have that quick grab box. Again, awesome work. I appreciate you man. Thanks for sharing.
Thanks for watching both videos….1.The battery cover is just a simple monitor stand that I added charge ports to and attached it to the track mounts 2. The side plates are still the factory plates I just made some thicker rubber seals to go behind it, but I’m currently working on some custom plates to completely replace those plates, I’m not knocking the plates but I think they are a poor design and should have been flush with the hull. 3.The tackle box that was mounted on top in video 1 was working out great but I bought the yak attack track pack and really had no other use for it so I decided to use it for terminal tackle so the other box was removed, I like the track pack better because it’s smaller and I’m arm reach when I need hook, etc….
Something to keep in mind is all them hard plastic lures if left on the kayak while trailering is going to mess their paint up. Ask me how i know. Nice looking setup
Super clean install. Currently rigging my Unlimited and grabbed a couple of ideas from your vid. Thanks. Edit: did someone local do your lettering or was it something you did online and applied yourself?
Great set up! I just got the Magellan 50L and was wondering if you could post pics or provide more details on how you attached the rod holders to the sides. I just got similar 3-rod sets and there is a big gap… how did you attach yours?
Thanks for the video. Great setup. Was wondering about your cup-tool holder mount with the Yak Attack box. You mentioned the mount is from Yak Gadget but I couldn’t find it. Do you have a link to it? Thanks.
Any issues so far with running the PVC bunks on the trailer through the hulls channels? Also are those 3" PVC? I'm torn between using PVC bunks or using something like the Spring Creek kayak saddles that form to the shape of the kayak. I would like to be able to keep the kayak stored on my trailer in the garage, but want to make sure the hull is supported to where it doesn't deform in the Texas heat. Thanks in advance!
Great video. Was wondering what brand are the connectors that you are using ? I have the basic ones that you buy at bass pro shop but they tend to keep on burning and cracking .
Ordered the connectors from Amazon, when you search trolling motors connectors they will come up. Been using these for 2 years now in my bass boat! No complaints
Only way that is IMO financially justifiable is if I had by my home an absolutely immense amount of very good fishing that was limited to kayak only access I do not know the cost of that kayak but I am confident it costs as much if not more than a small fishing boat that can access over 90% the same areas as a kayak and 100% of the areas a kayak would have significant difficulty to access and fish effectively and most importantly fish SAFELY A small 16' boat with a 9.9-15hp motor can be used all day everyday in wind and wave conditions that would make fishing from a kayak just plane hard work. I know because Ive done both Ill take a 16' deep V Aliminacraft or Lowe over any jayak all day everyday in choppy waters medium windy days And a used 16' Aluminacraft of Lowe is no more expensive than a kayak like this one and both will need to be trailered and stored and the 14' kayak will take up nealy the same room as a 16' boat on a trailer I bought my kayak to use on small kayak canoe only lakes and a few smaller lakes by my home But in my area of Indiana close to lake Michigan windy days are the norm calm are not and fishing in a kayak in winds
There is a market for kayaks and there is a market for aluminum boats I own both my boat is a 17 ft alumacraft with a 70hp motor, most places I take my kayak is not accessible with a gas powered boat, the big lake that I fish in my I can take my kayak and get into creeks that are to shallow to put a 17 ft boat. The kayak is gas free vs non ethanol gas that I have to fill the boat with. You are correct about the price though because it cost me $6500 to rig this kayak and around 7k to restore my boat, but like I said there is a market for each. I am using this kayak to fish kayak only tournaments so a build like this would mostly benefit tournament anglers
You have one of the cleanest and tightest rigs I’ve seen. Very cool!
Thanks 🙏
I have a Frontier 12 and the jealousy of your set-up is oozing out of my pores. 🤣🤣

Camco 43450 Pop-A-Drawer, RV... www.amazon.com/dp/B08HQV6B48?ref=ppx_pop_mob_ap_share

Great setup, buddy! I have a Lure 13.5. Thinking about going to the Unlimited. Never fished it but I think I'd love that 360 seat.
Clean ride. Thanks.
Something to keep in mind is all them hard plastic lures if left on the kayak while trailering is going to mess their paint up. Ask me how i know. Nice looking setup
Wow... That is a sweet ride.
Clean rig I might take a couple ideas for my unlimited!
Are you running lithium? I’ve Ben looking for a digital display battery monitor that works with lithium
Yes I am running all lithium batteries and my monitor works great for lithium
Nice and clean setup!
Nice rig!!! Very nice!!

That’s a sweet setup!
Super clean install. Currently rigging my Unlimited and grabbed a couple of ideas from your vid. Thanks.
Edit: did someone local do your lettering or was it something you did online and applied yourself?
Thanks and My wife makes the decals
Nice well thought out clean set-up. Can you come do mine the same way please!! lol
depending on your location we can work something out lol
Great set up! I just got the Magellan 50L and was wondering if you could post pics or provide more details on how you attached the rod holders to the sides. I just got similar 3-rod sets and there is a big gap… how did you attach yours?

No issues for me so far, but if were in Texas I’d most definitely cover the pvc with carpet, or use metal pipes
nice build!!
What did that terminal foam come from? That is such a sick idea dude! Dope set up
Can you post a link to those paddle clips? I can't find those exact ones on Amazon. Thanks

She’s beautiful
Where could I get that cover you have over your 100 Ah battery?
Just wondering where did you get the trailer? And what size is it. Price$
I got the trailer from facebook marketplace for $250 it was a old jet ski trailer
What is the tube your xi3 release rope runs through?
how did you run the string for to deploy the motor?
Total cost in the build??
All in is at $7,000 right now with trailer
I need to reach out to you for some stuff 8:54
a bass boat not much higher than this
