    Regardless of who is offended by this ad, it's just lame. The "point" Pepsi was trying to get across was lost by trying to throw everything in one commercial. I can see where the backlash is coming from so I'm going to let Pepsi suffer the negative repercussions of their lame commercial.

    • @tonyl3012
      @tonyl3012 Před 7 lety

      Kat Prinner Me a baby sheep? Okay think what you may. First I would recommend you get to know me first. I've never been a follower of the Kardashians. I specifically said this commercial was lame. As in it sucked on a surface level. After that I couldn't care less. Accusing me of being a sheep is an uneducated assumption so stop throwing names around and if you want to see who I am. Add me on Instagram @the_returnofme

      +Tony Look. I'm sorry if I came off mean. BUT, truth? IDC about ur Instagram right now. .. we can talk here, openly. my only question is, IF you are indeed a individual of substance... WHY say something SO naive???

    • @tonyl3012
      @tonyl3012 Před 7 lety +1

      Kat Prinner Critiquing a bland commercial isn't naive. Assuming people are sheep and eat whatever the media throws in their face is naive. I am at the age where media is thrown in my face constantly and I usually filter it out. Yet even with me filtering it out I still enjoy memes at my age and this is blowing up in the meme community so I came to check it out. I watched the advertisement and I left my opinion which I am entitled to. You can think what you'd like of me, but thank you for the conversation.

    This commercial and its type are nothing new. Soft drink companies have been making similar ads for decades. If you go through the history of advertising you will find a myriad of similar ads.
    "Drink a [fill in the blank] and you will find peace", etc. It has been done before. People have become far too hyper-sensitive to every perceived injustice that we will literally not be able to *breath* without asking permission first, lest we should offend someone.

    This is just preposterous! In my opinion, all Pespi was trying to do was convey the message that all of the world's biggest problems are inherently simple and easy to solve, if we all just learned to respect one another and get along. What's actually wrong with Mankind is that we need to complicate things and mess it all up first-hand (like we're doing right now: reading something horrible into something that was supposed to be a positive message). People should just learn to relax and care about things that really matter. By the by, if you want drop me a line, there's no need to offend. I'm just stating my opinion.
    DISCLAIMER: I am NOT saying that the real issues happening in the World don't matter, OBVIOUSLY. I just think that we should know how to "separate the waters".

    • @DavidDavidDavidDavidDavid.
      @DavidDavidDavidDavidDavid. Před 7 lety +1

      But the thing is. These AREN'T real problems it's just something the media has stretched and made way to big, just so they can get their millions and call actual successful people greedy. A very minor issue stretched way out of proportion which has just caused more problems like riots and hateful protests on the other end. And by the way it's preposterous*

The pepsi handed to the police officer is a peace offering, showing that the protesters won, depicted by the officer accepting and drinking the pepsi. This is how I see this ad. Nothing wrong with promoting peace, equality, unity or universal love, the protesters weren't violent in any way. #Namaste

    I don't understand what's wrong with the commercial either. I actually think it's beautiful. I see it as showing people we can all be respectful of one another even through our different views. I'm assuming the issue people have is Kendall giving the Police Officer a soda? It seems the "in thing" is to bash Police Officers. There are only a few out of the lot that are bad. The same as how people don't want their cultures to be lumped as bad. There are bad people out there. They come in all colors and shapes. If you don't want to be condemned for what someone of your family does, don't condemn the whole Police Dept for what a few bad apples do. That being said, not all of what you see is the whole story. Maybe sit down with an officer and hear his/her opinion of what was happening at the moment before judging.

      Same with the backlash against Kendrick Lamar recently. His intent was to promote black feminism, and yet thousands of black feminists were outraged.
      It's pleasing to see the extremist leftists fighting amongst themselves. They're always arguing over who's the most oppressed. I think these controversies are going to cause more people to be anti-SJW.
