Anyone else got pissed off at the referee for not blowing the whistle when everyone else lost sight of the puck and itâs between Samsonov pads?
Yeah my family was MAD about it Sammy clearly had it and refs couldnât even see it and yet they didnât blow the whistle
Yes. It is quite odd that the whistle takes so long to be blown around samsonov. Ref jumps on the net because he can't see the puck instead of blowing the whistle.
Yeah they took forever, and if you remember the Flyers dis-allowed goal a week ago when the referee instantly blew the whistle while the puck was in the air. The only consistency with NHL referees is that they are never consistent.

Huge game for the Leafs. They played with a lot of heart. Matthews comes through big time, and you saw him out there in the final minute with Boston using the extra man. Good playoff win by the Leafs after such a poor showing in game one . A real trifecta; they beat Boston for the first time this year, they stopped giving up 5 goals per game and Matthews finally scored his first playoff goal

Gotta appreciate the 4th line during this game they were exceptional, the Domi and Matthews pair is some of the most fun I've had while watching hockey, and Sammy throughout this whole game was phenomenal, after the first game I didn't think he was fit enough to play for the rest of the playoffs but he definitely proved me wrong. GO LEAFS GOOO!!!!!!!!!!
4th line was exceptional in game one as well. they scored the only goal.

Marchand looked like a soccer player a couple times... surprised he didn't roll around more. Best overall team effort from the leafs since April 1. They keep playing like that, stay out of the box from retaliation/bad penalties and they have a chance.
That penalty on Bert when Marchand dove like he was in the olympics was the softest call Iâve ever seen. But there were a lotta bad calls against Boston too

I agree. Heâs always been a great asset to the team in my opinion. He makeâs unbelievable passes all year long, sticks up for his teammates, and works hard during the playoffs. I hate when people hate on the guy, heâs a solid top 9 player that can play top 6 minutes.
That's what can really make a difference in the playoffs.

Everybody will say Matthews was the difference, but it was...Domi who had the biggest impact on the game.
Now THAT is how to win! Keep that team effort going and you can get past the dragon.

The call on Bert when he âtrippedâ Marchand was the worst call Iâve seen in a while. Biggest dive of all time, but other than that the refs were defo on the leafs side tonight.

What an absolute statement game from the Leafs. This Domi, Bertuzzi and Matthews line is a revelation. If Marner is able to do what fans have been screaming for in the playoffs, and Nylander plays to his full potential, the Bruins have a lot to be worried about. It's a long series, but if Marner and Nylander get activated, I think it's going to be a massive problem for Boston.

Ullmark was phenomenal tbh i don't think there was much else he could have done. Bruins left him out to dry a couple of times there but overall he was great
