    The building can't get loud because fans are waiting for bad stuff to happen and are nervous, so it's hard to cheer when your on pins and needles.
    Also the corporate thing.

    Mirtle is bang on about special teams. If leafs stay out of the box they have a huge advantage. I’ll add to that and say that if Boston also stays out of the box, the leafs have a huge advantage
    I can’t watch that power play again. It’s frightening!

    Mathews got mugged, no call btw, and tweeked something, I'm sure it was the take down behind the net. He was skating at normal speed before that mugging but not after.

    Knies was never getting close to scratch, he wasn’t even playing bad when they took him off 1st line, makes tons of great little plays that don’t always show up on score sheet and lead team on hits

    I called Woll before Game 1 and throughout the series until they finally pulled Sammy. WOLL is the main reason this turn around happened.

    If Leafs started Woll for Game 4, they might have already won the series. They stuck with Samsonov for too long, for which Leafs don't plan to resign, and the future of the goalie is Woll, you gotta let Woll play.

    Boston has under estimated Leafs ability and skill! Boston only had 1 more win and 7 points over Leafs in regular season!

    You have to add REilly Tavares to that group of 5 untouchables .Maybe they is not a foundational peice but the LEafs have not choice but to have those 2 next year due to their contracts .

    I have heard some rumblings among people I know that the Leafs dont NEED Matthews and they are a better team without him .THat is BS .Even if he is not scoring ,he is VERY effective out there .He immediatly draws defenders and checkers to him and that opens up space for others .When the series began I predicted that him and Pasta would basically both get shutdown and cacel eachother out

    The makeover began last off-season, when Dubas acquired McCabe and O'Reilly before the trade deadline. McCabe was the best d-man on the ice in Games 5 and 6. Big mistake not to re-sign O'Reilly last off-season.

    Nylander was playing well and hard all game. He was back checking, hitting and going to dirty areas. He was noticeable all night in a game where there was not much to notice on offence .

    Fundamentals, limit oddman rushes, stay out of the box, pressure the puck, the leafs have flipped the script, playing good overall team D. The leafs are playing simple, fundamental hockey. Pressures on B's.

    this always happens when the leafs lose a top guy like rielly or matthews. they lock it down and play team defense, whether regular season or playoffs. if matthews comes back they stop doing it and lose
