I love how the dads in these old shows always look like they’re in their sixties.
And the cops. Old men in bad suits and hats but always looking like esapees from an old folks home.
I don't think people lived as long. 50 was really old. The retirement age was much lower. I think my grandparents retired by age 55.
Hard work. No sunscreen. No moisturizer. No sunglasses.
You see real life in some of these shows. ❤🎉
@@ToBeAnnounced2024Back then, lucky to live that long. ❤
@@ToBeAnnounced2024 Social Security retirement age was set at 65 at the time male life expectancy (the majority of workers) was 61 years.
John Newland was a unique, talented actor….perfectly cast….as the presenter…of..One Step Beyond…😲😊👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏 The cast of all the episodes were of great quality…so…convincing….so….real 😊👍👍
He directed lots of these episodes, too. RIP, J.N.
👍👍👍😍😍😍🎥🍿❤️
Lots of love from India.❤❤❤❤
We (Hindus) in India have no doubt that such things happen ...all the time.
And ours is a 5000+ (nobody knows how many) years old civilization.
A room mate I had in Boston was from Nepal. Her Nepalese boyfriend used to beat her. I once asked her, why do you put up w/ it? She said "Hindus believe if bad things happenbto you, you must have been a bad person in a previous life, so you must deserve it." WOW. Then, she married him! Smh.
@@suraya1224 😳🤯😨
Please keep posting these oldies so good❤❤❤
Let the credits finish completely before blocking part of the screen with a few ads of what's to come;
In doing this, all the actors get "credit where credit is due." Literally. :)
@nancyward8589... I agree with you on that!
Watched this the other night before going to bed. Moved me to tears. I woke up the next morning thinking about it and cried again. If there be a God, he is good and loves us eternally ❤
💕🤗🌷
There is a God, and I have seen His power, His mercy and His love. His name is Jesus.
@@johnjon1823Thank you, John. Jesus loves me. This I know, because the Bible tells me so 💕
As soon as the mom became pregnant, Alice left the body of Laurie to become her unborn sister, reincarnation you could say
I think that's what Alice did, too, but it couldn't have been as soon as the mom became pregnant. Alice was still in Laurie's body, making the dad's favorite meal, when the doctor told the mom that she was pregnant. It would've taken a month or two before the doctor could tell. So Alice made the leap when the mom came back with the good news.
But then I don't know what happened to the unborn sister's soul when Alice pushed her way in.
You’re not supposed to try and figure it out. Your just supposed to sit on the couch and bite your nails and watch! 😁
then it should have happened months prior. I am semantics.
Thanks for ruining it for the rest of us😡
Won't you please delete this Dear and stop spoiling the show for others? Kindness is always the sweeter choice.
Very sad and happy story....but mostly sad.💔🥰💔
Would you believe that in those days, doctors actually made house calls?
The middle-aged, graying physician with stethoscope and small, black medical bag would rush to your house and treat the patient right by the bedside!
Can you imagine that happening today? No MD would dream of making house calls anymore. The GP as portrayed in this episode has gone extinct, never to be seen again.
Yeah how about TV repairman and tubes
That’s because in them days were tougher than today and didn’t call on their doctor as much. Nowadays it would require an army of doctors to attend the wimps of today ( not including Covid patients)
There are still a small percentage of doctors that do house calls...If you can afford it. ❤
My pediatrician always came to the house.I can remember the penicillin shots.
My Dr. came to my house when I was a kid.....I was sick
I love it, great story.
Touching story!
The Mason baby was to be born "the third or fourth week of October". Linda Goodman, in her
book "Sun Signs" states: "One of the strangest patterns in astrology is the death of a relative in the family within either a year before or the year after the birth of a Scorpio".
I read her books
@@keahithefieryone8513 I am an Aries and Linda Goodman was an Aries. I never believed in astrology until I read sun signs. blew my mind.
@@Heart2HeartBooks Same here! She had the gift of deep insight.
I don't really believe in astrology, but my grandmother died suddenly in Feb 1955. I was born the next October. That is pretty strange.
These things are in reports from the University of Virginia - doctors Ian Stephenson and Jim Tucker's studies on reincarnation are fascinating. (Plenty of CZcams videos from both of them.)
This is the most peculiar episode of OSB I've ever seen. Weird.
Wow ! This was a good episode, loved it
Thank you for posting it.
Omg I love this stuff
Now folks, let's not make it to where we done gone and got too brainy....
Intellectualism removes a lot of humanity.
Look up the stories of Mary Roth and Lurancy Vennum in 1865 and Jacques Beaumont and Stephen strand of 1934
Turned out to be a happy ending.
3:53 and she whips out a frying pan from under the covers and hits the mother over the head 2 3 times yelling "NOT THE MOMMA! ...NOT THE MOMMA!"
Ha…the mom of the little girl,is my aunt Phyllis! Phyllis hill. She was married to my uncle Frank overton
DEAR FATHER
These subtitles are hilarious. And give that kid a slap.
I love all these videos
We need remakes of all this episodes
I would suggest to remake very similar to the originals
otherwise the mystery and suspense gets lost.
Good video
Instead of a possession how about a reincarnation?
Possession and then reincarnation.
this was a weird one.
❤️❤️❤️
Yeah
Viewers need to learn to NOT read comments until the end of the show.
Spoilers happen. 😄
Mr Howell?!?
A five year old could have written that script
That would have been one impressive five year old.
It seems like every woman in these videos has a sort of 'Boston' accent - except for rural folks and kids.
Wow man,the women acting, was over dramatic.
The ridiculous overdramatization of acting in those days! The way they throw themselves into each others arms and then tear themselves away again. 🤣
You sound like that's a bad thing.
@@lovingmayberry307 he never lived that live sorry for him it show that he was raised without love.
Yea,it's actually kinda neat isn't it
Much of early television drew on the experience of the theatre performance technique and experience which often required the actor to project to the audience. Acting for television was yet to be discovered gradually using the camera as your audience. This is why preformances often appeared overly large and dramatic.
Sorry…this series was based on real events….this was how people were in the 1950s and 60s…this series is…..very real….to me…..and I miss…those times….soooo…..much 😔
QUITE A STINKER THAT ONE WAS. PHEW
Was not!
Stop watching if you don't like them.
@@geraldinebartlett8195 THE PROBLEM IS YOU HAVE TO WATCH THEM FIRST BEFORE YOU CAN TELL IF YOU LIKE THEM OR NOT.
The girl is patty Duke
Doesn't look like patty duke
It’s not it’s Reba Waters
Not Patty Duke.
I am the reincarnation of my grandfather. I am.
Scammer. I'm sure they got some money somehow from the wealthy family. If nothing else the girl stole whatever she thought she could get away with.
The writing of this show is terrible.
