Yvette Mimiuex is such a beautiful actress. 😊
She was captivating as the Eloi, Weena, in the 1960 film, “The Time Machine”, and it still leaves me enraptured to watch her on screen.
RIP Ms Mimiuex, who left this world in 2022.
My favorite role of hers was Angela Thatcher, the Chief Stewardess in "Skyjacked."
Yes, the lady has all the attributes of a beautiful lady. I personally don't think white women generally do. I watch all those same programs as a child. It was a simpler time for a kid growing up.
Loved Yvette Mimieux ever since seeing her in The Time Machine.
Ditto,
She was also a love interest in Dr. Kildare episode Tiger, Tiger Burning Bright.
That was "Weena".....yes, I remember her well!! What a DOLL! ;-)
And in the the Black hole but much colder and with diff hair, i hardly recognised her.
@kathleencreamer6648 i remember that.....dr kildare sang to yvette who played a surfer.
This one triggered me. 1st husband was just like that man, very abusive, insecure, narcissistic but I got away and lived.
Its ok, cupcake, no need to let world know you were "triggered".
I wasn't anywhere near that bad, but I got over myself because I did not ever want to hurt anyone and did not want to be alone.
@@jonnyq680 you were pretty bad tho, I remember
@@quailshootr6389 Hey, that's ad hominem!
Are you sure it wasn't just you?
This TV series was on in 1959 to 1961 - I was 10 years old in 1959 and this and Outer Limits and The Twilight Zone used to scare the daylights out of me. Back then after the sun went down our neighborhood was pitch black except for street lights at the corner streets making the night extremely dark and spooky.
I remember an episode that I think it was from The Twilight Zone, it was about a ventriloquist a live puppet. It was creepy. I still see those puppets creepy..
@@thedevilinfrankenstein6503, The Twilight Zone had 2 episodes with dummies, Caesar & Me, also The Dummy, BOTH had a live puppet.
The Twilight Zone episode that gave me nightmares when still a small lad was.....Eye Of The Beholder.....all of those awful faces of the doctors and nurses! WOW!
So remember these days like you described.
So remember with great fondness those early days. What I consider to be the greatest old-school Sci-Fi in order are: (1) Metropolis, (silent film 1919), (2) Bride of Frankenstein (1935), (3) Forbidden Planet (1958), (4) The Time Machine (1960), (5) The Incredible Shrinking Man (1957). If you haven't seen these you have not seen classic Sci-Fi at its best.
Yvette Mimieux had the sweetest face Ive ever seen.
Yvette was simply adorable...
Clowns are scary! i dont care what time period----freaky! luv One Step beyond!
The blonde was also in the 1963 movie drama Toys in the attic. She played Dean Martin's young wife. The actress Yvette Mimieux.
What a lovely actress.
Yvette is probably best known for "The Time Machine."
I love Toys in the Attic. She and Dean Martin were excellent, and the other cast too.
Also, in the movie "Where The Boys Are" with Connie Francis. She was perfect for roles where she played a waaay too beautiful, fragile lady.
Also in the Time Machine that was a really good movie!!
Another good one.....but WHY isn't Yvette's name in the "starring" list above?? She's the main star as far as I'm concerned......WOW, SHE WAS ABSOLUTELY GORGEOUS!!!
I saw this episode back in the 1960s when I was around nine years old and never forgot it!! Scared the heck out of me and added to my childhood fear of clowns. Having watched it again, I'm all for poor Pippo choking that creep out!
-Yvette Mimieux was the same young girl that played the part of Weena in the movie with Rod Taylor called The Time Machine.
She was in a movie about a black hole later.
@@taxusbaccata9200 Don't forget 'Where the Boys Are'.
Thanks for posting!
Yvette Mimieux
The good ole days ❤, when things on TV were cool, classy, and well acted by the actors ❤.
"The good ole days, when ... TV.. cool, classy..." Firstly, those days were not good at all. TV is often used in bad times as a tranquilizer. Secondly, this video is not cool nor classy or well acted.
I love these old show's.
I also saw most as a young child!
And clowns have a whole new meaning these days! 🤡
She of course was in the later immortal movie, the Time Machine. One of the great Sci-Fi classics.
@@danrieke9988the time machine was released 1960 seems it was the zeitgeist.
She’s adorable.
Loved this episode very, very much! The actress there is Yevette Minerex, she's so BEAUTIFUL in this episode here!
The actor in the clown make up also appeared in Jailhouse Rock as Elvis's prison cellmate.
Wow! How did you find that out?
@@jonnyq680 I recognized his name. Mickey Shaughnessy.
@@sketchartist1964 That was Mickey? What an actor! I LOVE that guy! Thank you!!
i must have seen this when i was 5 years old cuz ive been afraid of killer clowns ever since
Its ok, buttercup, youll make it.
Whatever you do, don't watch Killer Klowns from outer space!
Wow....unusually dark and violent for a 50's TV show...
I didn’t really understand this one. I’m guessing guilt followed him, but what exactly was the message here?
@zachberry4742 good question.... not sure
I’m new to this and it’s freakin good. Thanks!
You have much good viewing ahead! 3 other excellent accounts are:
1) Rob W
2) The Film Detective
3) Retrospective - Classic Movies
Rob W also has the old TV shows similar to what we just enjoyed and for times we want beer and pizza with something longer the other two keep us happy with old movies 🤡🎥🍺🍕 Enjoy Dear 💕🤗
A lot of pathos, as well as tension in this episode, especially as it touches on a lot of points: death of innocence, regret, fear of water, fear of clowns.
Fear of men beating their wives. :(
SURPRISED TO SEE YVETTE MIMIEUX ISN'T EVEN MENTIONED IN THE STARRING CREDITS.
Divorce him immediately and hide.
The clown ended up doing the next best thing.
@@jmedakwonSure did. And this guy she was with deserved it to.
Give the poor guy a break,, cmon, everybody deserves a 2nd chance.
I don't trust clowns ? You never knows what's underneath the
Mask😮
I am a child of the 50’s and I had had never see this show. I was living in New York City In 1962 and never see this until 1979.
This was an excellent episode.
It was an excellent episode, and I loved it very, very much to. I felt so sorry for the beautiful girl there, and HATED that mean, nasty man who constantly hurt her all the time! He really, really got under my skin.
@@danbasta3677 Right??? I thought the mute clown was more of a gentleman than her dipshit abusive boyfriend. The clown was better for her.
I agree. Are you an avid watcher of classic films?
@@charlesmagicien4330 Yes I am.
@@alyssajones4368 Great. Have you explored Dark Shadows and Strange Paradise?
Being a pretty girl can be a curse.
*stupid/childish girl
I loved her since I was a little kid and saw The Time Machine. So beautiful
I use to watch this show as akid.
Back in the days when "Go fly a kite" was really telling someone off!
She was such a beautiful girl.
I had such a crush on Yvette Mimeux when I was a kid. Still have a tough time spellin' her name though.
She was in ' The Time machine '. She was almost dinner for the Morlocks.
My grandfather was very jealous of my beautiful grandmother. She got tired of it and gained 200 lb.
She loved eat, it wasnt about anything else.
This was inspiration for an 80s Twighlite Zone episode
Whilst clowns are ostensibly figures of fun, there can be a sinister reality behind the make-up and the mask. Clowns are often creepy and disturbing as a result of this, something that has been exploited in movies over the past 40 years. I was never too keen on clowns as a child, I must say, even though in reality many of them are harmless.
The actor that played the husband was 39 years old while his "wife" was only 17 at the time of the filming. He died of a heart attack at 51 and she just died last year.
These lack the irony and justice of TTZ.
.....but I like them.
They are based on reality though.
Yvette Miemeux. 🎞️I fell in love with her in George Pals The Time Machine.🎥
Poor girl..what on earth are you doing with a Jealous vile disgusting man like this..one who as your husband is meant to Love and protect you.
I didn't like him either, he burnt me up the way he treated her. If she were my girl, I would love her and protect her and treat here properly with deep love and compassion the way a man should treat his beautiful wife like her.
Loraine Bobett knew how to treat his kind .😂😉👍🏻🔪
Unfortunately the narcissist wasn’t discovered at that time frame and all the damage that they do 😢

What are you talking about? That's the only kind of men women get with. Nice guys are at home beating their meat. Women love pieces of shit assholes. Always have always will. It's a shame but their own damn fault.
1 of my many favorite ones.
'want ya boat back, Georgie'?
It's creepy how childlike she was and the fact that men liked that about her

The music in this episode is off the scale!!!
the girl should've run away w.Pippo & made him her new lover
She shouldn't have giggled so much in the trailer : [ Poor Pippo & I Feel Bad For The Girl Too. Pippo Did Look Pretty Frightening as a Meme Tho
wonder if the clown-fear is post-pennywise?
No.
First time I saw her was in a Dr. Kildare episode titled, "Tiger, Tiger." I ordered the movie "The time machine" a few years ago.
A good clown
Geeze the husband was a dirt bag
Don't eat Weena!!
love it !
They worked with, all-star casting.
📌Fellas? @4:14 Whew! Sweet potatoes and grits! 😂💕
Gacy in the early days
This seems kinda dumb. People were watching Pippo the whole time through that little window, yet no one said a thing when he suddenly became "soaking wet" while sitting there on the floor?
Guess you don’t understand the whole premise! Paranormal activities!!!
@@sandybruce9092 No, you just don’t understand human beings. If you were staring at someone that was dry, and then suddenly, for no reason at all, that person became soaking wet, you would be surprised and maybe even shocked. Those people just stood there like water didn’t just appear out of nowhere.
Domestic abuse treated as a societal norm. Sheeeeee
I saw Time Machine instantly
That clown is scary!
"You never knows"😊!
"The only function of a clown is to make us laugh..."
Think again.
If any man evertalked like that to me,, he would wind up on his ass
The clown reminds me of a Morloc from the 1960 Time Machine 😶

she should have dumped him, and ran off with the clown. 🤐

She was also in Where the Boys Are.
She also has as the curves of Bardot!
Very unsatisfying ending. Would it not have been just as easy to write it so that the girl wasn't seriously wounded, and cleared the clown of wrongdoing, and happily ever after ensues?
And then to add insult to injury, you leave Yvette freaking Mimieux out of the credits???
The ending is perfect - poor Pippo, but the louse got what he deserved!
The husband was a bun and she was thinking about changing him in. She seemed to be looking fir everyone's else's attraction. He shouldn't have killed her. She acted like a 12 year old girl.
Typical Insecure Bully.
Look, she most likely made him that way, flirting with clowns n every man she saw.

Mickey Shaughnessy- a well-known character actor (he was in "Jailhouse Rock" and "North to Alaska," among many other films of the period).
So they just left the blonde in the trailer to decompose ?

This was BEFORE The Twilight Zone. No Copy. There was also Alfred Hitchcock Presents and Thriller with Boris Karloff. ALL Before The Twilight Zone.

@@lt7378 you have a point sugar!
@@cheyenneasiafoxe292 😉
I think she led a sheltered life on that peach farm. She has a childlike wonder and innocence. Her husband thinks she's cheap because he doesn't understand that about her, and other men think her friendly smile means she's flirting and looking for more, but really she's just a little girl wrapped in a beautifully attractive package. She and the Clown would have been happy together.
Back when men knew how to grab hold of a woman, and toss her around until she bends to his will... Amazing what passed for normal back in the day.
That type of behaviour never passed for normal.
