It occured to me that the reason why the cameraman was starving and couldn't just get the food lying around was that he was either busy filming, or trying to keep up.
The natives may have cut his tongue out.
Or Ted Bear refused to share, and if the camera man tried to eat/drink food or drinks, he would be punished severely.
