Gabriel vs Lucifer Supernatural

- This being one of my all time favorite scenes in Supernatural when Gabriel finally stands up to his brother Lucifer and gives his life. It speaks so much to me, so many times people seem to have lost hope in the world but in reality we as people have so much potential
- Zábava
That face he makes after he kills Gabriel...either Mark Pellegrino is a remarkable actor or I feel really bad for Lucifer... Probably both.
Both? Both. Both is good.
Both. It's probably both. Yeah, both.
does he come back
+KingdomOfFandoms Dude, both for sure.
+KingdomOfFandoms To be fair I completely agree with this. In a lot of episode Lucifer talks the talk as the king of lies and manipulators. But the look on his face in this one really did seem sincere.
If Gabriel isn't one of your favourite characters then you're lying to yourself
one of those characters that turned from the hated and extremely annoying into a favorite. Shame he died.
Lucifer is my Favorite he is kinda right about Humanity
D3LT4 Never got why he isn't around anymore ?
jaliyah white well he was a very good character I defenitly liked him but I got over his death pretty quickly.
jaliyah white lol
"Don't forget, you learned all your tricks from me, little brother" THAT RIGHT THERE WAS THE END OF ME
MorningStar
What was that? That flash of light and then Gabriel’s mouth and eyes lighting up like a Christmas tree?
Daniel Ives and now in my country is Christmas morning xd
Confused Follower dont you watch supernatural? duh
well, after last episode,it looks like maybe Gabriel learned a new trick somewhere else. i wonder how they will explain this.
I think it was the power of the angel tablet that brought him back in Meta Fiction. They better not retcon this and say he never died because he certainly did with the burnt wings, plus it's what Kripke intended.
I'm ok with a resurrection story, just not a he was never dead story. I think the most sensible thing is that if they explain him being resurrected by the tablet but at a much lower power level---a power level equivalent to the fallen, wingless angels. That would explain him being alive and why he was overpowered by Asmodeus & demons, which he would've obliterated if he had his full power.
"Lucy, I'm home~" BEST LINE EVER HAHA
Luci*
I say Luci too but technically it coul be spelt any way they want.
Luck's face right after that was like, not this shit again
back when Lucifer was scary instead of a big joke
Lol he's scary again now, don't worry.
At the same time, he's still just throwing a tantrum because he feels like it and he admitted it too lol, saying he didn't have a plan and just wanted to break Dad's already broken toys. So while I am scared, I also still feel like he's just a messed up, mentally ill, neglected child in need of his father who keeps freaking abandoning him when he needs him most.
Pumpkin Spice Bleach he beat up Crowley with a guitar......nope sorry. One of the best bad guys on the show after YED as been ruined by bringing him back. It would have been SO much better if he stayed in the cage in S11 as a finale goodbye from him/Mark.P.
I totally agree with that dude. He became such a clown as soon as Castiel played him.
Well i mean he had a plan back then, he is kind of winging it now (pun intended)
"Damn right they're flawed. But a lot of them try. To do better. To forgive." I have never heard anything more inspirational in my entire life.
Might be my favorite piece in the whole series! Very profound and beautiful….
@@myroselle6987 Simple, to the point, and packs everything about what makes humanity beautiful. Admitting that we are flawed, but that it means that we just have to keep doing better.
In a series where Death is pretty much meaningless its pretty hard to take that Gabriel died defending God and humanity and no-one gave a shit
Only meaningless to Dean and Sam... and Cas
Pretty sure they referred to bringing back the arch angels, but god said that its a hard and lot of work, and he wouldnt even know where to being or something like that.
Death is most significant being on the existence, he finds everyone insignificant as always.
yeah Chuck said it would take alot to bring them back but he was working on it
He said it takes time. Didn't say i'd start. Most likely, the archangels are dead. only lucifer and michael remain.
Supernatural: The show where everyone you love dies
They even killed misha in "The French Mistake"
+The Ice Cream Cone from Lilo and Stitch nah that's doctor who XD
and ok here too but some of them come back to life again somehow
Charlie just died on the the season 11
El Barbaro ffs here season 11 isn't on tv yet and i see spoilers everywhere >.
Marianne Verhoef YEah it is, wednesday it's the season finale, on "The CW" channel
Can we all take a moment to appreciate the fact that Lucifer actually cried over his brother's death? Like, yeah sure they 'hated' each other and were on different sides but they were still brothers and still loved each other. The look on Lucifer's face after he stabs Gabriel, pure anguish. He didn't necessarily want to kill his brother, he's his brother after all, but he 'had to.' Mark Pellegrino's acting was spot on, always was as Lucifer. This is probably hands down one of my favourite scenes from this show.
hereinyourarms18 He never wanted to kill his brothers. Even with Michael, Lucifer tried calling off their big fight. He wanted to hurt their Dad, but he never wanted to hurt them.
Lucifer never hate Gabriel. Gabriel was always his favorite. He never even wanted to kill any of them. But Michael is a big bag of dicks. I don’t like his character in Supernatural. He’s a straight up jerk.
Gabriel didn't die on Heaven's side or Hell's side. He died on Humanity's side.
Now that I'm re-watching this, I can see...Gabriel is the only angel that actually GOT IT. All the angels knew that their mission was to "protect what God created." People. Earth. Humans. How loyal he is, and how he gave his life to protect us. He's the only angel (besides Cas, of course) that actually UNDERSTOOD. and dammit, he did his job! he died a fucking hero. and i'm always gunna' be proud of him.
The trickster never dies..
Epic_World uhm , what do you think this scene? Gabriel died.
do you have proof that he's still alive?
Kittyluver1225 OH MY GOD , ARE YOU SERIOUS!? YOU BETTER NOT BE LYING TO ME! :O
Metatron understood he simply did not follow play by play.
NarutoJoeyYugi metatron's a whiny little baby because Daddy put him in a corner instead of attatched to his hip.
( its so weird , we're talking about god like this. for some reason i find this funny and amusing that a show has us basically looking at "God and Angels" as kids/parents.) :P
gabriel died protecting God and humanity and nobody cared. I think that's so messed up.
I don't think anyone knew since Gabriel has been in hiding for however long.
+Callan L Gabriel left them a tape saying if they are watching this then he's dead and they shrugged it off and didn't even care
true man! that shouldn't have happened.
OMG I care! #BringGabrielBack
he was a trick star so mybe he is still alive :)
Anybody else notice the fact that Lucifer actually hated killing his brother?
I noticed that too and I don't think he wanted to kill any of his brothers. When he had his showdown with Michael in Swan Song, he wanted to avoid a fight while Michael wanted the battle.
Rachel Sheppard Lucifer was warning us about Chuck... plot twist
In later seasons he would just kill any angel “brothers” who wasted his time...as a joke.
@@hepty3179 i think he only cared for the archangels the lower ranking angels were toys to him xd
@@gb-oz5kn not true there was times that Lucifer tried to not fight with his brothers ( i mean the other angels) ,but they wanted to kill him .
Poor Gabriel he knew how this was going to end but did it anyway.
can't blame a trickster for trying
Gabriel ...
Ixen • Gameplay what?
Gabriel Nothing
TheDrow79 get ready for a season 9 cameo!
The time when the youngest became the most mature
Actually Raphael was the youngest
The Supernatural universe sure is strange as hell
It’s probably from experience,Raphael and Michel had lived in the heavens and Lucifer was stuck in hell.Besides Lucifer who had some interaction with humans(but was always with a hateful view of humans),Gabriel seemed to have been on earth more than his brothers. It’s not really a surprise
@@hepty3179 If Lucifer embodies God's manipulative and opportunistic tendencies, Gabriel embodies God's fascination with humanity.
This, people, is why I love Gabriel so much: funny, caring so much that he bleeds, and ultimately brave enough to stand in the loser's corner even when he knows they're doomed.
Please bring back Gabriel!
Akira Lee I think they might idk though. That Pagan God had some part of him in a jar, right?
Correct. Since they had him at the 2014 panel as a host, there may be a slim chance that me may come back.
+Dean Winchester he is alive that's what i've heard....... not to mention all the time he spent on earth and stuff should've gave him more experience in tricking people more than lucifer....
Nylz Ber Yeah, that's what I heard too. Thanks for caring enough to tell me though. ^_^
Akira Lee no probs my friend
This is one of the most beautiful scenes in Supernatural. Gabriel overcame his cowardice to help Sam and Dean, and was willing to step in, even though he knew Lucifer was stronger. And Lucifer showed he could still feel grief and love when he sobbed over his brother's death.
Then the writers retconned it...
@@theopportuneson699And they are (mostly the shitty writers) on strike thinking they brought something valuable to the film industry in recent years but when you look back on those films, you just glad they got what they deserved...
Sadly there are some good writers mixed up amongst them not knowing they are fighting in a battle where they have sided with the shitty writers.
1:12 _“Play the victim all you want. But you and me? We know the truth. Dad loved you best. More than Michael. More than me. Then he brought the new baby home, and you couldn’t handle it. So all this is just a great, big temper tantrum! _*_...Time to grow up.”_*
Easily one of my favorite lines in the whole show! 😍
Damn how they show the dead wings at the end looks sick!
that's what happens when an angel dies the Visage of their wings are burned into the place where they died and I don't think you can get rid of it it's like a marking
All the angels lost their wings though, so it doesn't happen anymore.
+Rambowjo in the episode where cas got his original grace back it showed he had wings, their just broken
i tried getting into this show it was boring on like season 1 ep 20 or something
Luke` Yeah, I also tried but got too bored. I see this video and... I think I made right thing. There is too much of everything, they don't focus on important aspects. And I like far better how Satan was portrayed in show _Lucifer_ .
I like how they care so little about Raphael that they don't even mention his name XD
Gabriel: Dad is always right, let us enforce that in His creation and throughout the universe!
Lucifer: Let us bring light throughout the universe and flood the universe with perfection and beauty!
Michael: Let us do what Dad created us to do, we carry out the divine rule of God, my father!
Raphael: Well um..Dad--Dad is everywhere so. :) ..He's gotta know what's best I guess, youre the boss, Micky. He does what he does everywhere, cuz he's...everywhere, know what I'm sayn?
Maybe because he was a "crossdresser?!"
Raphael was a joke.
Raphael a regular angel blade would kill him I think he just barely made arch angel ranks.
It’s hilarious that Raphael was always saying “we live in a godless universe” when he was protecting Chuck, who he thought was just a prophet, and he turns out to be God himself
This ladies and gentlemen is a perfectly, heartrenching scene. I mean look at the acting between Mark and Richard, not just the tone of voice, but also the face expressions, the gestures...everything. They just bounce off each other real well, I'm sorry but this is a purely actor scene. Yeah don't get me wrong the script was amazing but it would have meant nothing if these two didn't portray their roles the way they did.
Agreed.
This is the reason why casting and acting ability is so important. A moderately written script can seem like a timeless masterpiece with the right actors. Acting is so much more then the script, costumes and casting: it’s about making your characters and the situations they’re in so real that you feel like you’re right there in person invisible everyone else.
"Screw Michael,if he was here,id shiv his ass too" Ahhahaaa oooo boy good ol' Gabriel :D
The moment you realise Lucifer is crying from 2:41 onwards...
Richard and Mark pulled it out of the bag in this scene!
I totally agree
What can I say; Devil May Cry
***** Well, he IS an angel
Jaeho Lee unfortunately this angel is labeled as a Devil for he rebelled against God's order to all angels to bow to us humans. Bro... do you even read bible...?
Very Puntastic.
"Dad loved you best. More than Michael. More than me. Then he brought the new baby home and you couldn't take it. So all this is one big temper tantrum. Time to grow up."
Perfect. And fits with Death later calling Lucifer "a bratty child having a tantrum."
The sounds he makes before he dies makes me want to curl up in a ball and sob for the rest of the day.
me too
I think "Great Big Bag of Dicks" is an accurate way to describe Lucifer.
What did you just say to me?
Every angel on spn is a big bag of this.
[Gabriel was my favorite archangel in this series I cried when I saw this happen to him]
***** [eh there is the case then he'd have already returned by now]
+tao kaka Not true, they could be waiting for the perfect moment
Kohai Aburame [mabey]
+tao kaka Hopefully
+HoopLah clunk He cannot easily resurrect Archangels.
At least not in this show. Archangels are on another level altogether.
Only God, The Darkness and Death surpass them.
Yes, Castiel was easily able to kill one with a click of his fingers once he got all the souls, but just think of it this way. The Darkness is all most at full power after what? Consuming maybe 100 souls? She is said to be even stronger than God.
An angel with billions of souls > Anything in the Supernatural universe.
I loved Gabriel
Hell, even Lucy did!
I hope he is.
i cri
+Slundermen is he really alive :D lol
+Template Tech I just google it myself, it's true, Richard Speight confirmed that Gabriel is in fact still alive, apparently Metatron had convinced him to appear in front of Castiel to join him, there were some other subtle hints that indicated why Gabriel wasn't dead,
+Jacob Lamarre but why didn't gabriel help god, lucifer, dean and sam to take down amara? And if i remember right, God said that Gabriel is dead
The pain in Lucifer’s eyes when he ‘kills’ Gabriel always makes me cry. He cared about his brother, he didn’t want to kill him. But he believe he had to, and that is what makes me cry.
The most amazing thing about this is the fact that Gabriel actually DID outsmart and even "tricked" Lucifer here because Gabriel isn't dead...that is proof that skill (his mastery over Reality Warping) exceeds raw power on most occasions.
JumperSC It's okay. Reality is hard to accept sometimes. Still no sign of Gabriel's return. :/
@@Sal-fg3rs he did returnb

Heaven Goebel watches season 9 episode 14
"Goddamnit!!!! You bring back Gabriel & he turns out to be an illusion?!?!?! WTF?!
Michael Brucato Wow You Misspelled Goebel
He has disappeared for 6 seasons(Meta fiction not included). I miss him so bad :(
#BringGabrielBack
I like how it was literally 7 seasons ago yet we're all still so emotional over his death and are still in denial over his death, so much in denial we may actually bring him back to life through the sheer force of it.
He's back!!!..
I think
WOW ...I mean Damn Really. This the first time we see an archangel take our side and he's dead seconds later.
SkyPigof1945 Yeah, that’s why no other archangel sides with us afterwards.
Raised Phoenix probably, but c'mon they are in it to win it.
HE DIDN'T DIE
Wwe have been waiting for this moment. For a long. Long. Time.
I've come to realize that it's not the cgi effects, nor the biblical references, but it's the dialog that keeps me coming back to this show.
I find this hard to watch because it's obvious they still love each other as family despite everything. Even after Lucifer killed him you can tell that it upset him.
Cmon Gabriel, even young Goku knew you need at least 3 afterimage to get the drop on somebody
Lol!
when it comes to personality i am a combination of the following characters Raphael, gabriel, crowley and lucifer
what does it mean "at least 3 afterimage to get the drop on somebody"? english's not my native language.
adrryn3455 Ever watch Dragon Ball Z?
WMICx That's what I thought
Gabe must be the king of tricksters if he is able to trick even Lucifer like that.
Gaming With Balance I mean he is Loki and whatnot so...
Nope, even in the video Lucifer said that he taught Gabriel that trick, so Lucifer is the king of tricksters, your 25 upvoters are wrong
Gabriel is not Loki
I want this Lucifer again, not that joke of season 11 sigh....
I know right. I mean misha is an excellent actor, it's just I want this ruthless Lucifer back.
I actually don t think misha or mark did a terrible job in season 11. Remember with the darkness as the antagonist the motivation of lucifer is different. This season has been the best one since season 5 as far as story telling, writing, and character development goes.
+Bill Klaven that's because Eric Kripke was still in charge & he'd only planned for 5 seasons.
I love Lucifer in seasons 11 and 12. I think it makes the most sense, it's emotional and reveals his "humanity". I know that's obviously not the right word but you know what I mean lol. He's ruthless here, yes, but he's also capable of feelings just like any of the angels are, like Cas. Evil is made, not born. I've always seen Lucifer as Gabriel describes him here, as a kid in pain over losing his father's love and being abandoned. Season 11 Lucifer is very ruthless until Chuck shows up. Kids always act different with their parents, no matter how bad the kid. Lucifer loves his father and seeing him again and getting that apology only to be thrown away again, abandoned once more? His actions make sense. He's complex, as are almost all the main-ish characters on Supernatural. Misha did a great job with the role in season 11.
@@pumpkinspicebleach2025 He is pretty scary in Season 13. Especially at the end.
"You learned all your tricks from me." But then Luci got locked up in the Cage. Gabriel had ages to learn new tricks. THAT is why I believe he could someday come back. ...I hope he comes back
Think what you want of Lucifer, he felt sorrow for his brother Gabriel - 3:30
0:31 The way Lucifer had his arms up. Was he gonna hug Gabriel?
He was probably going to kill kali, which gabriel prevented
He's going to hug Gabriel, but Gabriel said not this time.
It was more of a "bring it on" hands up.
Rich (Gabriel) always manages to play dying in such a heart breaking way. I mean, the pain in eyes, the tears, the gasping, ugh. Just brilliantly acted.
*HE CAME BACK!!* That was one of the happiest moments on Supernatural for me..I almost cried.
I wonder what Lucifer was going to say
when he said "Gabriel, if you are doing this for
Michael...." would he have said "it is pointless" or
I understand"
More like "he wouldnt want you doing this"
Ender Wiggins people blame Lucifer not otherwise
who else cried when lucy looked sad because he killed gabriel?
There aren't many things that get to me, but this scene really got to me
So... The Devil almost cried? Wow, um... Guess he loved Gabriel as much as we did!
SPOILER ALERT
Yeah I know he's not dead, but still
I know that I believe that Gabriel actually died, and then was brought back.
Chuck: My kids do what they want, so Gabriel wasn't a disappointment that day, good for him! Now I'll let that sacrifice sustain, it's what he wanted. Can't give a cookie to my boys everytime. Cant keep hovering, my creation has to thrive on its own and I'll watch cuz I'm done with that.
Brokenrain223 Of course Lucifer almost cried, he truly didn't want to kill his brothers. That's why he even tried to convince Michael to call off their big fight. He never wanted to hurt his brothers, he wanted to hurt his Dad.
"Over a girl...Really?" love Lucifer in this show
I like how he delivers the "luci I'm home" line
at the end you can almost see lucifer fighting back the regret of killing his own brother though, he killed gabriel and the tepped back and realised this is what hes done
I love Lucifer's line "I hope you didn't catch anything" Like he is truly worried and disguised with the fact his baby brother would catch anything
This scene is pure gold, it´s shows that even tho Lucifer is a "fallen angel" it doesn´t mean that he hates his brothers. And viceversa, his brothers love him as well no matter what. The pain in his eyes when he killed Gabriel said it all.
Such a good scene, Lucifer ...teared up when killing him
It killed me after Gabriel was killed that Lucifer was still showing so much emotion. He didn't want to kill Gabriel but to him, he had to do it. When Lucifer stabbed him the little whimpers and noises Gabriel made were so sad
I've had so much time, but I have never truly gotten over Gabriel's death. I have never been this broken up about a character--ever.
“Luci, I’m home”
My favorite part 🥺
the only true remorse he ever felt in his eternal life
"Gabriel, really...I knew you slumming but...I hope you didn't catch anything"
My last two brain cells arguing wether humanity should be saved
trickster aka gabriel was one of the best thing in this show! hope he comes back someday
schwartzy65 same
He might. Rmr God said it takes longer to create archangels. So, it might take just as long time to bring one back. He said archangels are made of something that normal Angels aren't. So, maybe he will bring him back. Or who knows, Gabriel might already be back and we don't know it.
I wouldn't be surprise if Dean and the gang run into him randomly. Rmr he does like to hide and have fun.
Season 13 😄
After all the shows i wached such as Supernatrual and Lucifer, It got me thinking different of my perspective on god, lucifer and other angels and demons. Mainly God and Lucifer
Read Lucifer comics by Mike Carey ...I think it has what you need ..I under Vertigo imprint
Me too.
Careful. They based this on what is already out there. Remember that in the real lore, Heaven tried to save humans from themselves, and Lucifer created demonkind and used them to try to destroy humanity and take over the universe
It's hard to tell beneath all the lies and deceit (he is Lucifer after all) but I truly believe this is one of if not the only action Lucifer ever truly regretted, it'll be interesting to see how it plays out between them now that Gabriel is back
That was remarkably well written -and- well acted. Never heard of it before. Thanks for putting this up. I may check out the rest.
It made me cry even more when I heard the last part again, Luci taught Gabe all his tricks, so that means they spent the most time together. Just imagine Lucí and Gabe playing around with eachother and pulling pranks 😭😭😭
Gosh...Mark and Richard did such a good job on this one! Gabes death makes me cry all the time :( but Lucis face after he killed his brother who he LOVED is really killing me TT.TT
And the moment when Mark looks like hugging Richard XD actually it was a move to calm him down, I guess :/ but for me it was Luci wanna hugging his younger brother :D
Nope! You're not alone TT.TT I'm with you bro!
Btw are you from Germany? Your last name seems so german O.o
Nice :D I'm german, too ^-^

"Broken flawed abortions" well can't say he is wrong either, but isn't humanity what he made them or a reflection of what he has become? Don't throw stones in a glasshouse, Lightbringer.
He tempted is with sin but he didn't make us do anything, we chose badly and fell. If you believe in all that anyway. I personally don't but I like the stories :)
No. Lucifers flaw is destroying humanity FOR its evil
TrueLoveGuard Lucifer didn't want to bow down to humans because he saw "us" as flawed, even before he started tempting us (if you believe the fairytale). He wanted to continue bowing to his father and his brothers who truly were "perfect" whereas humans have always been flawed.
In reality, Lucifer is just throwing a tantrum because God brought the new baby at home.
the dying cry of an archangel was enough to bring even Lucy to tears, shit
is it bad that i love this scene? it's so well put together and all the actors are so talented...
This scene broke my heart a little bit. Family fights are always tragic, and the fact that Lucifer actually seemed sad afterwards just... I can't. He believes in what he does, but that doesn't mean he didn't love his little brother. Even the most evil people are still people, and I think that's about as much emotion as Lucifer is ever going to show. Gabriel.... I love ya man.
HOLY shit the way Lucifer freaked out at the end when Gabriel died... don't try to pull any shit and say Lucifer didn't care about his brother.
Man I jumped for joy when they brought Gabriel back. He was one of my favorite characters in the entire show.
The pain in Lucifers eyes when he stabbed his baby brother hit me in the feels.
This scene hurt me more than Bobby dying or Dean/Sam going to hell - I dunno why, it really just did
HES ALIVE GABRIEL IS STILL ALIVE
idk how he is but i know the actor; Richard confirmed he is alive lycanthropyxxx
+Aaliyah David He's resting. Obviously.
it has been confirmed he is alive
God confirmed that he is not alive.
Back to what I said before, Richard speight confirmed he is alive but if God says he's dead I guess he's dead...
THAT LOOK THAT GABE GIVES LUCIFER LIKE HE UNDERSTANDS AND IS SILENTLY TELLING HIM THAT ITS OKAY THAT ITS OKAY THAT HE DIES AND THAT HE LOVES HIM AND ITS SO EMOTIONAL
Wait, I didn't pay that much atention before, but is it me or Lucifer looks ACTULLY sad and heartbroken after killing Gabriel? His voice previous to kill him too...
He was heartbroken. They are still brothers. When he asked "Brother, dont make me do this" he was genuinely begging him
Plot Twist: Gabriel is not really dead. He is in hiding and will reappear in season 12. Castiel/Lucifer, Gabriel, Crowley, Sam, and Dean takes on the Darkness in an epic fight.
Don't forget god
I thought daddy went to get a pack of smokes and didn't come back - lucifer
Also my prediction: they I'll defeat the darkness at a bad cost! Sam will say yes to lucifer so Lucy can have full power with his vessel, kill darkness easy. Then lucifer goes rouge, and jumpstarts the apocalypse again. But then sings in the big brother Michael. Stabs lucifer, but kills Sam. But he can't be brought back! Dean and cas go on an epic journey into hell to break Sam out.
+ProxidySlays I'll watch that!!!
+ProxidySlays Amara is holding Lucifer hostage to draw God out.
Season 13 😉
You can tell he didn't want to kill him. I felt bad, he just want someone on his side for once, even if he was wrong. Reminds me of when my brothers will rat me out, even though they knew I didn't mean for stuff to happened. But karma is a sweet bitch. lol.
Both actors did a great job here but Gabriel actor did just outstanding. Combining 3 sides of his character, the funny comic, the serious brother and a loyal honorable Angel who does the right thing.
Gabriel's dialogue was perfect here. Awesome writing and delivery from the actor portraying him. Very passionate performance. And I even gotta praise Pellegrino's performance here even though I never really cared for his acting. The look on his face after killing Gabriel was so true regret
i cry every time
Luci, I'm home😂
Now that the series has finished and I'm familiar with all the characters, I would have loved to see Gabriel and Metatron interact. The way they both caped for the human race really is a part of what made them lovable.
Great actors in this show. That's why I appreciate watching Supernatural
I gotta wonder why God didn't bring back Gabriel.
he said that bringing back archangels is taking a lot of time
kriegnes then he should use as much time as possible
Yet he rebuilt Castiel more times than he can remember.
Cas isn't an archangel though and he didn't restore him to full power.
God doesnt care to do it out of the kindness of his heart. He would have considered it to get his help fighting the Darkness, but she was destroying the universe at that moment and rebuilding archangels takes longer - could be maybe days, weeks or months. At least.
I wonder if Sam and Dean tried to have some kind of talk with Kali in the car, or if it was nothing but awkward silence
The face that lucifer makes when he realizes he'll have to kill Gabriel, it kills me.
Lucifer looked ready to cry after killing Gabriel. You can tell he really cared for his little brother.
Gabriel: lucyyy i'm hoome
-still silently crying-
Watching this in 2024 just remembering watching this during summer break on TNT and becoming a huge supernatural fan then in 2021 walking into the spearmint rhino and finally getting his reference
I slowly have been introduced to the actor who plays Lucifer over time. Dexter, X-files, and a couple other shows; none of them really capture his talent in this. He is convincing in his sadness of having to kill his brother whom he loves.
Up to series five, this show was utterly brilliant. It did everything really well, from humor to horror to tragedy and action. After that, there are times when it just seems like a bad comedy with some mediocre action. Even when we look at the deeper aspects of the story, it removes the ambiguity of the earlier seasons where, in context, Lucifer, Michael, Gabriel, Raphael, the Pagan gods, Sam and Dean are all technically right in their own ways. God is more like an everpresent force overseeing from the shadows, opposing both the angels and Lucifer at different points, as if he is trying to teach them all different lessons. Later on, God is shown to somehow be an idiot (and in some ways more psychopathic than Lucifer), the other archangels are more or less misguided and Lucifer is more or less correct. Perhaps because Kripke was the heart and brain of the show, and past his planned ending it becomes essentially pointless.
I 100% agree with everything you said. It's why I literally consider s1-s5 the main story and everything after fanfiction.
Considering it was meant to end there , it makes sense . When the show was written it was meant to build up to the Armageddon arc and end after its resolve . And yeah , while there were plenty of good moments in the seasons after this , nothing compares to the roller coaster ride of seasons 1-5 . I always said supernatural is so awesome because it has everything . Horror , comedy , romance , sex , love , brilliant sound track . The emotional moments really hit . It’s alll just done so aell
Remember when supernatrual used to be good?
rutger5000 Its not as good as it was, sure - but its still great, so hush.
Uh it still isol
rutger5000 You're arguing with 15million fans MUST YOU KNOW
Diane Lunar Yeah arguing with fans is madness I know. They won't see reason or the obvious.
Luxess V. Well because I liked Supernatural, and I'm saddened that it dropped in quality like it did. So now I feel like I want to complain about it for a moment.
I enjoyed this video very much 😉
This is something I liked about Lucifer in shows like this and the show Lucifer. He hates being put against his siblings and having to hurt them and almost always tries to talk them into standing aside.
This is one of the deaths froms this show that upsets me the most because you cas see in Lucifer's eyes that he truly doesn't want to do this, Gabriel didn't leave him a choice. On one hand I hate him for being the great big bag of dick that killed Gabriel, but on the other hand, it's just one big fucked up family...
dean should of just paint the spell with his blood and sent the lucifer away he is still an angel...
Lucifer can't make you do things, but he can sense your intentions and manipulate you into doing his bidding. He can also possess you which makes it kind of confusing in how he can't force you to do things out of your control.
Man the guy who played Lucifer was an astounding actor. Bravo
Probably the only time in the series where Lucifer has a real human moment. (yes, I'm including season 11. Therapy sessions with daddy dearest don't count)
I beg to differ. Enormously.
