    To be fair, Ferrigno's grunt-flexing really showed how much of a beast of body builder he was back in the day. (Man's 70 and he's still huge). If you've got it, use it.

      @@flyingdics1 The wonders of human evolution, or rather the evolution of body enhancing science.
      Not to say that these guys were 'all natural' but now it is also accessible and affordable. Even with some juice for the body, building takes a lot of effort.

      that's what I loved about that series/movies. He actually looks like something scary and intimidating that you can believe some scrawny dude mutates into in a manner of seconds. I found that much more apt than the house-sized brick-shaped Hulk.

    It's weird how they got a guy for Thor who was actually pretty big, and then had him wear a bulky costume that somehow made him look smaller. He looks more like Thor without the armor and helmet than he does when he's wearing it.

    Still addicted to this series. Yes, the cheese is strong with this one, but the series is better than you likely remember. Bix only agreed to it because it was going for dramatic depth. It's formulaic, but the acting still holds up and built a foundation for the MCU.

      I only got to watch the first season but it was pretty enjoyable. I wish it had followed less of a Nancy Drew formula and showed a bit more of him dealing with the Hulk or trying to study or cure it, but that is the 70’s. I don’t think story arcs were really big then

      @@mggardiner4066 he was constantly trying to cure the Hulk. Throughout all 5 seasons and the 3 TV movies. The reporter McGee was always close on his trail though, so Banner was constantly on the run. I still love the series.

      Seen the documentary, apparently there's 3 movies, first with Thor, 2nd with Daredevil and Kingpin, 3rd with modified version of Black Widow. So it kind of was a trial attempt at an MCU.

    This show made me want to learn the piano after hearing The Lonely Man theme at the end of each episode. Joe Harnell's score for this tv show is timeless.
    This movie is one of my favs and it was Bill Bixby that pitched the idea of a tv marvel verse way before what we got in the present era. Bill Bixby RIP and amazing actor.

    I was a bit young to properly enjoy the Incredible Hulk TV series, but the perfect age for the Hulk TV movies. I loved this one and the Daredevil one.

    When I was in junior hi, I loved the TV show My Favorite Martian. Bill Bixby was great in that show. Fourteen years after My Favorite Martian premiered, Bill starred in The Incredible Hulk. My daughter was a toddler at that time and was enthralled by the Hulk. She would sit on the floor in front of the TV, waiting with amazing patience throughout each episode for Bill to get angry and turn into the Hulk. When those moments arrived, my daughter would clap and giggle and scream with glee. Her two favorite toys during her preschool years were her Tonka dump truck-and her Incredible Hulk doll. Barbie dolls were never on her radar. My little girl loved action!

      Man I never understood the hate that movie got. I finally checked out the bootleg on CZcams and the plot was better than any thaeatrical F4 movie we've gotten and the special effects are impressive for being 99% practical.

    I have this one on DVD I always thought it was awesome, I never thought Honest Trailers would acknowledge it! This Thor was definitely a inspiration for Chris Hemsworth, he acts just like him in the MCU Thor film.
    Also let's give some major respect to Lou for being the best Hulk!

    Loved the show movies were alright for back then. I liked Trial of the incredible hulk y'all should definitely do that next. Daredevil and hulk vs Kingpin (basically guy in a chair lol) Death of the incredible hulk made me shed tears

      I went to a convention back then and the comics writers told about a discussion they had with the TV movie writers about Daredevil's costume. They asked the TV guys why his eyes were covered. TV Answer: "Because he's blind." Comics response: "Nobody's supposed to know that."

    Wow, I loved these made for TV "Incredible Hulk". Loved watching the show when they reran it on the "Sci-Fi Channel" (pre-SyFy). Hope you get to doing the other two "Hulk" movies in the future.

      When the Ang Lee movie came out I was disappointed that they didn't use his "wife killed in a car crash and ensuing guilt" origin story. I always felt that made Banner more empathetic.

    Back when I was in 7th grade (1990), this movie was supposed to air one Sunday night and I even got my mother's permission to watch it instead of going to church. The long awaited night came, and the power went out and stayed out, curse the luck. I tried to get the rerun but this particular movie never aired again in India. Still haven't seen it to this day. Will definitely try to get it from some streaming site just to complete a long cherished boyhood wish-list.
