My thoughts exactly! In my opinion, the three greatest strikers ever.
Eusebio for me is ahead of Muller. Only R9 is better than him. Muller is maybe the best pure goal scorer, but R9/Eusebio were incredible all over the pitch.
I still remember his winning goal against England in 1970 and cursed him for it. Now I am full of admiration for his achievements.
He is a genuine genius striker. Finding the shooting position was perfect. Although I wasn't born in time to see him play live, but I can tell that. He is a true legend. 😀

Der Bomber, my childhood hero! I had my mother put on the number 13 on my T-shirts (we could not afford team jerseys), so that I could "be" Müller when we played football on the rough pitch (my best friend "was" Cruyff and he did the same with the number 14). Such an inspiration. So sad to hear that he is dead. Sounds strange. But, he will live on forever, such a legend! RIP.

I've always been in awe of that first goal against Italy, the way he goes between the defender and the goalkeeper and pushes the ball just enough so that it goes behind the line, and the looks on the faces of the defender and the goalkeeper when they realize it's a goal. Typical Müller work. What a Legend. For me nobody will ever replace Gerd "der Bomber" Müller as the best striker ever.

I seem to remember the quote "10 all-rounders beaten by 1 specialist" with regard to the 1974 World Cup final against the Netherlands. Condolences to his family and friends from England.
