Brazil 1970 was the most dominant football team in the history of the game. They played 12 WC matches (qualifiers and finals), they won 12, drew 0, lost 0, they outscored their opponents 42 - 9.
Never before or since has it been done. Simply awesome.

The whole brazilian organization for 1970 world Cup was for the first and last time , conducted in a highly professional manner. The team arrived in Mexico one month ahead schedule. The players were submitted to intense training programmes , had just the exactly ammount of time to adpat to the high altitude of mexican cities. Just to have an idea how the team's affairs were handled, Pele had already been two times champion of the world and was thirty years old, nevertheless he got no special treatment and the team's captain was Carlos Alberto and he was only 24 years old !Had this kind of organization been applied to the brazilians national teams , from then on up to these days, Brazil would have won many more world titles .
No doubt about it... In my view, this was the world greatest soccer team of all time in soccer history! The invincible!

Igual à seleção de 70 não houve, não há, e eu duvido muito que haverá um dia. Os comandados do Velho Lobo tinham tudo: uma defesa bem montada, uma saída de jogo precisa e com inúmeras variações, uma espinha dorsal muito clara e quase imbatível, uma constelação de craques absurdos, uma preparação física exuberante, deslocamentos contínuos, e um estilo de jogo irresistível. Eu não pude ver ao vivo, mas não lamento. Agradeço a Deus e às lendas que jogaram por terem marcado a história assim.
E como você disse, uma seleção invencível com tantos "craques absurdos", e por cima de tudo, com um jogador que só nasce a cada mil anos, o Pelé.

Lo irónico es que el partido que Brasil sufrió más fue con Perú en 4tos de final, Perú tener a un DT como didi (brasileño) ya sabía cómo jugaba su selección ya que algunos los conocía por haber ganado junto a él las dos copas del mundo (1958 y 1962), en ese encuentro Perú estaba sobrepasando en juego a Brasil aún estando perdiendo por 2 goles, lo malo fue la defensa que no pudo derrotar a Pele y compañía.
Si el Alemania vs Italia no hubiera estado, este sería catalogado el partido del siglo, por todos los ataques de ambos (49 tiros al arco entre los dos equipos)
Me gustaría que mostraran la película completa de México 1970 en especial la final Brasil vS Italia con imágenes inéditas que no sean de televisión sino el film, con sonido ambiente de estadio sin narración de voz en off, con la entrega de medallas y copa y la vuelta olímpica. Muchas gracias

Ni la famosa "naranja mecánica" [ Selección de Holanda] de los mundiales de Alemania '74 y Argentina '78 pudo ser comparada con esta Selección de Brasil del Mundial de 1970. Sencillamente completa. La creatividad que tenían especialmente del medio campo hacia adelante, era simplemente de admirar.

The Brazil team of 1970 is truly the best, no doubt about it. But in Italys defence, they had an incredibly tiring 120 minutes semi final against West Germany a few days before. It just made things easier for Brazil in the Final.
