In london where i grew up as a young kid we assumed the names of our favourite Brasil 1970 world cup players...everybody wanted to be Pele or Revelino on the pitch.

Many Brazilian players, even many from our best playing at brazilian clubs, end up playing for some club on a region that doesn't have a big football culture and big teams for some time on their lives.
Like the US, China, or countries on the Arabian peninsula like Saudi Arabia, Bahrain, the UAE.
I never gave a chance to the thought that there would be people like you loving the game of some of our players playing in their countries.
I'm glad that when some of our best aren't here at least some football fan is cheering for players like Rivellino.

Tenho 57 anos. É isso!! Era um Estádio do Maracanã com uma magia que não tenho como descrever. Hoje, co as reformas, ele perdeu esse encanto.

Ele falou o que sempre quis da seleção, jogar bem, jogar bonito, mesmo que perca mas jogue como Brasil. Um bom exemplo disso foi a seleção sub-20 que perdeu a final da Copa do Mundo mas jogando leve, com habilidade, dando show e no final recebeu apoio dos brasileiros. Nossos titulos são consequencias do bom futebol.
Samuel Oliveira exatamente, sempre pensei assim, os caras só pensam no troféu e esquecem que o troféu é consequência do futebol mostrado, esquecem de jogar e se divertir, hj é assim com todos ( acho que poucos pensam de maneira natural o esporte).
É evidente que r10 foi o último boêmio do esporte. Tem um garoto liso ai que joga muito, mas os próprios brasileiros tacam pau nele, Vinícius jr., me fale outro jovem mas liso que ele no Brasil? É mas os idiotas que tomaram conta do esporte falam que ele é ruim, que finaliza mal, que fulano tem mais gols, mais títulos isso e aquilo, blá-blá-blá. Eu gosto de ver ele dominar, driblar, correr e também tentar finalizar de longe... ele é muito corajoso, não se rende a pressão e busca finalizações antológicas. É um excelente jogador que precisa de liberdade pra jogar o nosso futebol, o futebol brasileiro.

Fantastic player, who could forget those free kicks? One of the great teams. Pity there's not more of Rivelino in action in this though. Seriously, who thought Brazil were going to go out in the first round in 1970?

that was the team of the century will it ever be bettered? for me the England Brazil game of that time was the greatest match ever I also had split loyalties just wished that was the final as both those teams where the best in the world cup at the time, deep down i knew whoever lost i would feel sorry for them i was just so sure in my heart that whoever won would a lifted the world cup both England n Brazil complemented each other perfectly what made the match so special i was siting on fire all throughout the match n wanting Both to win if possible
