He worked in Fenerbahçe as a manager(coach) for 2 seasons (2006-08), we had Alex De Souza, Roberto Carlos, David De Souza, Lugano, Edu Dracena, Kezman in the team. His first year in Fenerbahçe was the 100th anniversary of the club and the team won the league title.The second year Fenerbahçe made its biggest success in Champions Leauge, Fenerbahçe was almost stepping in the semi-finals.. that was really about to happen.. He is maybe not best tactical coach but he surely knows football and players, he's like a big brother to football players and always gets the respect. Fenerbahçe fans always love him and he will never be forgotten! Respect from Turkey ZICO !!

ZICO tinha totais condições de jogar a copa de 1990 na Itália. Acredito que pela desilusão da copa de 1986 no México, com a perda do pênalti tenha pesado em sua decisão.

Eu confirmo porque pesquisei o Brasil nunca ficou tanto tempo sem ganhar nada oficial enquanto ele vestiu a camisa da seleção brasileira . Nem a seleção de 1950 vice campeão da copa do mundo aquela geração ganhou uma copa América. Essa geração atual já ganhou uma copa América , uma medalha de ouro olímpica, e uma copa das confederações. Agora a geração do zico não ganhou nada, então por isso estou certo. A seleção brasileira nunca , nunca isso mesmo nunca ficou tanto tempo sem ganhar nada oficial quanto nesse geração de zico , Sócrates, careca, Cerezo, júnior, Oscar, falcão etc.

The great Brazil squad that played in the 1982 FIFA World cup in Spain remains the greatest team ever in World cup history .The likes of Artunes Coimbra(Zico) Junior Socrates & Falcao were a great delight to watch & were only unlucky to have lost 2 -3 to the Paolo Rossi - inspired Italian team captained by 40 year-old Dino Zoff & featuring the likes of Claudio Gentile, Antonio Cabrini, goalkeeper Toni Schmacher & Karl Heinz Rummenigge among other German football greats.

Much better than Maradona. He was star both 82 and 86 but they didn’t have luck. Instead Maradona went to win 86 and gained fame but, before the two WC Zico was the favorite.
In my opinion 1982 team was the best team that didn't win the world cup, even better than 1974 Holland team. Brazil made some crucial defensive error that resulted in that loss against Italy.

Careca was missing threw injury and was sitting on the bench in the 82 world cup. If he had played against Italy instead of sergino who missed a open goal chance..brazil would have won the 82 world cup..and been the Brazil's best team ever.

Football back in 1970s and 1980s was very different, very exciting to watch the whole game. Nowadays I only watch the summary with some exceptions in the world cup.

In 1982 I was 15 going 16 and did not pay attention to football ("soccer"), instead the other brand ("grid iron", still follow it). Watching the Spain WC I was converted by Brazil and France. By Zico and Platini. Have not looked back since.27-III-20, life without football!!
