Unbelievable player. He was 36 years old at the 2014 World Cup and was sitting on the bench in the first games (scoring that important 2:2 equalizer against Ghana as a sub). After the Algeria game, where Germany won luckily against a really strong team, Löw changed the lineup and Klose became a starter. He did "only" score one more goal (record 16. World Cup goal against Brazil), but with his intelligence, quality movement and unselfish play, the team had a much better structure than before. In the end, he started in the final and lifted the World Cup 12! years after losing the final in 2002.
Always a classy player and now a World Cup Legend.

I've never been a big fan of players like Messi, Cristiano Ronaldo or Neymar who uses a lot of moves to pass like two or three people. 3:33 Klose, the last survivor of that starting box that lost the 2002 World Cup final against Brazil led by Felipao in that match, scored the goal that would take him down in history in a massacre against Ronaldo who had just lost the record top scorer in the World Cups and could only see from the commentators' box how German got his revenge at the most critical moment for Brazil. At home, with your people, against the coach who won us the cup, against Ronaldo and with a beating that is never forgotten again.

No one I know from the german team has had such a great sensibility for headers like Miro. He's always had the special touch for headers in addition to his attacking skills.

And i watched all of these games live! :-) legendary striker in the Golden age of German football (from todays point of view ;-). I still remember when Klose started his career in Kaiserslautern, back then i would have never thought that he would breakthrough and become the all-time top goal scorer of the World Cup and win 4 world cup medals during his career: 2002 (🥈), 2006 (🥉), 2010 (🥉) and then finally in 2014 (🥇). I have the feeling that Mbappe might break his goal record in 4 or 8 years. let's see...

His club career was not very decorated, tho. But Germany Klose is the beast, and definitely better than Argentina Messi.

Unassuming, but deadly. He was an amazing finisher. Brilliant with his positioning.
