Similarities exist between the origins of Islam and those of Mormonism:
      * Both Muhammad and Joseph Smith were reportedly inspired to start their movements by angelic visits: the Archangel Jibreel (Gabriel) in the case of Muhammed, and the Angel Moroni for Joseph Smith (following a visit Smith claimed to have received from God and Jesus Christ three years earlier). In each event, the angel in question helped to prepare the prophet to receive a series of revelations from God.
      * Both Muhammad and Joseph Smith left behind authorized books they claimed to be direct revelations from God, books that their followers accept as Scripture.
      * Both Muhammad and Joseph Smith were persecuted by hostile locals and later forced to relocate (from Mecca to Medina, and from Missouri to Illinois, respectively) during the formative periods of their careers.
      * Both Muhammad and Joseph Smith established theocratic city-states during their respective ministries, Muhammad being invited to take the rule of Medina, while Joseph Smith would found Nauvoo, Illinois.

If the Bible were corrupted, WHEN did that occur? (This is a trick question.). If they say BEFORE Muhammad, then they can't explain why Quran doesn't mention it; instead, telling us to confirm the Quran by checking against the Torah/Injil that are "between your hands" in Arabic. That's a key point: the ARABIC says "between your hands," meaning they HAD the uncorrupted Torah/Injil as of the time of the prophet. If they say AFTER Muhammad, the problem is that we have too many manuscripts from too many parts of the world. There's just NO DOUBT about the text of the Bible after 632AD. Frankly, they're trapped because they have to pick an early date (usually Council of Nicea) to avoid the documentary evidence, but then they're trapped by the Arabic. Remember most Muslims don't speak Arabic, particularly Quranic Arabic. You don't have to either to assert the obvious - Muhammad said they HAD the UNCORRUPTED copies.
PS They might cite various verses to claim the Bible was corrupted, but that doesn't work: those verses talk about SOME people who SAY wrong things about the Bible, they make no reference whatsoever to texts, much less ALL texts (which is what Muslims are claiming, that we've lost ALL copies & thus have only the corrupted texts). You can win on this if you stick to your guns: there's NO way to harmonize the Quran to itself. Either the Quran directs us to confirm the Quran in the Bible (which we can't cause Bible contradicts Quran) or the Quran mistakenly asserts that we had access to uncorrupted Torah/Injil in 600's Arabia, which isn't true. Long and short, Quran is false no matter what; we're merely debating which error it made.

I thought that was ok and prayed for her. One day, I told her to read the Quran. She said a lot of the same things Mike says here, difficult to follow et cetera. You see many pictures of Jesus in the Old testament, like with Abraham offering his son Isaac, the sacrificial system of the old covenant mosaic law, the blood on the doorpost and the death of firstborns during the final plague of Egypt during Moses' time and many more examples. You even see the eternal Word appear pre-incarnate (e.g. with Abraham and two other angels, with Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego in the fire, with Joshua, with Moses as well, who do you think wrote the commandments on the tablet and appeared to Moses in the burning bush?). The Quran affirms none of these things and the funny thing is, if the Quran is right then you still can't trust it as you'd have to conclude that Allah's word can be changed even though it was written that he said his word can't be changed. Immediately after his conversion he earnestly prayed for the salvation of his muslim family, he himself was not a muslim prior to his conversion but his mom got married to a muslim man and she converted to islam and she got two kids out of that marriage. He lived with them. He told me that he prayed for about six months and fasted two days every week for their salvation. He said that one evening when he entered into his home and went to his room, as soon as he entered his room he was thrown violently onto his bed by a spirit, he told me that he wanted to scream for help but he could not open his mouth and the ability to make sound was stopped by that spirit, he also told me that he wanted to get up but could not and that demon pinned him down on his bed with great force and as he was struggling in his room with the demon he said that the demon spoke to him and warned him saying, "Leave my people alone!". He was terrified and beyond scared when the demon of islam manifested to him in a threatening manner. I have my shared experiences with demonic attacks, more than ten years experiencing those kinds of attacks but never heard them speaking, I always rebuked them in the name of Jesus and the blood of Jesus and immediately they leave. What crazy logic is this? The Bible was not derived from a single person over a particular time period. It does not claim to be a direct copy of a book written on tablets in heaven. The problem with the quran is that the chronological order of revelation was ruined by some unnamed person in compiling the quran we have today, and the chronology is very significant. Many 'revelations' occurred for specific reasons at specific times. Abrogation of verses can only be identified if the timing of the verses is known. The messing up of the quran then meant that many external books need to be consulted to try and assess the original order, and context. It is a disaster.

Theologically, Quran says Bible version 632 did not have solid evidence for the crucifixion . Open KJV 2023.
In the Gospel according to Mark, Jesus predicted his murder but not his rise from the dead.
In contrast, John does not recall Jesus making the murder prediction. In fact, John remembers Jesus saying he will be saved from the murder plot.
In John, Jesus predicted he will rise and challenged the Jewish Council. In the conversation with Nicodemus in the Gospel of John, Jesus said:
Just as Moses lifted up the snake in the wilderness, so the Son of Man must be lifted up. - John 3,14

@ibrahimchat6053 The issue is that Islam believes that Jesus isn't the messiah that's the false teaching. Your proof isn't proof, it's what most Islam believers see as enough proof to disprove Christianity which there isn't enough here to say that Mike is wrong. The people back then knew Jesus was crucified but the Islamic religion tryed to make a new religion because they didn't want to respect Jesus enough for saving them from the world and from their sins. Muhammad was a war lord, is wasn't a prophet, he was someone creating a religion for his own gain. He didn't rise from the dead, but my savior did. The gospels are eye witness accounts to the resurrection of Christ. God the father and God is the son. This is why most people don't understand. God is not limited. Islam limits God's abilities. It took Muhammad 23 years or more to write the Quran, and on top of that, more time to copy and paste certain things from the original Jewish texts. Falsifying a religion to appease the masses. That's the issue.

This quote is true for any person who knows their Bible. More so for any person who knows the LORD JESUS as their Savior. But I don't think that God wants Christians to spend time reading the Quran. I was reading the Quran briefly years ago but it did not take me long to learn that it contradicts all the core truths of Christianity, especially Christ's atoning death on the cross. Both books cannot be true. So why waste time on it? We only have so much time in this life.
Even if a person felt called to a focused ministry to Muslims, why make use of a book that is almost certainly of demonic origins? If we do not believe the Quran is from God, why quote from it and thus validate it even if it says something that appears to support our point? Why know more about a book than most Muslims in this country do?

I just finished that book. Something I never knew (but explains a lot) is that western Muslims struggle with honor-shame principle that tells them "it's okay as long as you don't get caught" if there is no dishonor, it is not wrong. Nabeel explained a situation of petty theft of free soda refills, where a person asked for a cup of free water and then went to the dispenser and filled up with soda instead. He thought nothing of it until he was caught by an employee who made a fuss and called him out in a loud voice. This was the moment of dishonor as many customers turned to see what was going on. Stealing the soda was not an issue to him until he was caught. It was more dishonorable for him to be called out and humiliated than to actually steal. pg 109.

    • @nunya54

That must have been something he was taught by his family or his culture or sect because that is not a teaching in Islam. There is the concept of hiding your sins but that is very different from there being no dishonor for you should have more shame in front of God, knowing He sees and hears all than with the people. Sins are still recorded whether anyone sees it or not. Hiding sins means not publicizing the evil things you do but that in no way has anything to do with not committing the sin in the first place.

Everyone always forgets when talking bad of Polygamy, that King David had 8 wives and was considered one of, if not thee, Godliest men in the Bible. He was called, by God himself, "A man after my own heart". While yes, it was a woman - plus adultery and murder - that got David in trouble, it is important to remember that God never condemned David for his love of many women before that failing. God was not angry with King David for his polygamy. He was angry because King David took another man's wife, committing adultery, and then had that man murdered. It would be easy to argue its the love of too many women that caused David's fall, but lets be real, even men/women who believe in monogamy can and do alarmingly fall prey to these two all to common sins.
It is also important to remember a few things on top of that as well. The Bible tells us to live in and respect the cultures of this world, so long as they do not go against God. God understands we must live with one another and that not everything we've created is evil. While the words of the New Testament do appear to go against the Old Testament account of King David, that is another thing Christians must be conscious of. The New Testament was aimed directly at Jews. There are things that the Disciples considered permissible, such as not outright abolishing slavery, that we today in modern time find abominable and thus question the bible over. The key thing to remember is what I said above. God gives us allowance to live in cultures and things of this world, so long as they do not go against him and his word. We cannot let our modern perception taint our view of things of the past or even our future, as we are just as flawed, arguably more so (because modern people have clearly become heinously arrogant in their beliefs and sense of superiority).
Does this make polygamy suddenly acceptable? I can't answer that, as I feel given our modern perception of it, it likely would be a more personal thing between those possibly seeking to enter into the practice and God.

Hey pastor mike I have a question,
Recently I’ve been struggling to accept original sin and sin nature because I felt like it goes against our free will. The Bible makes it clear we are all born corrupt and fallen and who can resist the will of God. I have a lot of questions but I’ll try to summarize them.
Why couldn’t God make all humans at once and give them the option of choosing and rejecting him. Then why couldn’t he save the ones that reject him, instead of passing down sin nature. Doesn’t God hate sin if there is a reality where u and I don’t sin why wouldn’t he choose that?
I heard another Christian make the argument that in a perfect world where everybody chose God there would be significantly less people, so God could have made this reality to save more people. Do u agree with that? Is there biblical evidence to support that?
Let’s say scenario 2 is correct would that mean that the people that accept God in that reality has the possibility of rejecting him now. I always had the belief that the people that choose God in this life we’re always gonna choose him, now I doubt that.
Assuming you agree with 3 would that mean had I been born in a different body in a different time period with different experiences I would have simply rejected God. How much of us and our decisions are dictated on our environment m?
Finally, how do I learn to trust God more even when I don’t have all the answers, I’m only 16 and sometimes I can’t even sleep peacefully because of all the questions I have.
PS. To anyone that has seen this comment and read it, pls try to answer the questions that I have more try to get Pastor Mike to see this 🙏🏽

Original sin is simple. What is the wages of sin? The wages of Sin is death. Separation from God is death. When Adam and Eve disobeyed God, their punishment was supposed to be DEATH. God spares them at that moment, but eventually death catches up with them and the generations to come. God gave man the power to procreate and act out of his own free will. Inherently, we all have this desire to worship God; but sin is so natural. Kids start lying when they are young as 3 years old. God is NOT in the business of correcting or controlling his creation. God is in the business of advocating his attributes of Justice, Mercy and Grace.
My sincere advise to you is this: don't struggle with why is there original sin and why couldn't have God done this or that to improve this sinful situation. God is God for a reason. He operates outside of time space and matter. And we humans can only imagine, think, operate and have opinions within the constraints of time space and matter. Instead, enjoy the fullness of life, with the Joy of the LORD as your strength. Joy is dependent on the Lord while happiness and sadness is dictated by your circumstance. So depend on the LORD and be joyful today.
Dear God, I pray for Jeffrey; he has these questions and also has these hypothetical scenarios. As he searches for answers, may you find him at the point of his need and may be raise his Ebenezer, knowing that you have met him. Bless his day, and his work. In Jesus name I pray, Amen🙏👍✝️♥️🤗🙏

“When a prophet speaks in the name of the Lord, if the word does not come to pass or come true, that is a word that the Lord has not spoken” Deuteronomy 18:21-22
Jesus of the New Testament is false prophet according to the Bible
      Jesus’ failed prophecy:
Jesus made a prophecy that some of his followers would witness his second coming. He said "Truly I tell you, some of you standing here will not taste death before you see the Son of Man coming in his kingdom.” Matthew 26:28
However, his second coming has not happened and it is been 2000 years, meaning that his prophecy has not come to pass.
Paul maintained throughout his letters that he and his readers were living at the end of history. Human history as they knew it was very soon to come to a crashing halt. *“we who are still alive* and are left will be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air. And so we will be with the Lord forever. 18Therefore encourage each other with these words.” 1 Thessalonians 4
It seems that even towards the middle of the second century, this prophecy was still causing embarrassment, with “scoffers” demanding to know the answer
“Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts, And saying, *Where is the promise of his coming?* for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation” (2 Peter 3:3-4)
