- I've collected all 16 Lightcore Skylanders from Skylanders Giants and Skylanders Swap Force, but which is the best?

I should mention that the criteria for my rankings were:
• Quantity of lights
• LED Brightness. (this can vary depending on the condition of the character)
• If the LEDs make sense for the character (for example Eruptor's Mouth or Prism Break's Crystals)
• If the implementation was well executed (Chill was poorly executed, for example)
• The character's pose/appearance itself, especially compared to other reposes
• If the Lightcore version is the "Best" version of that character (for example, S2 Prism Break is better than Lightcore Prism Break in game, but Lightcore Wham Shell is the best version of Wham Shell, both for the figure and in game.

Drobot is one of my favourite Skylanders, but I really wish he had a better Lightcore. Just making his eyes light up too would’ve been good enough for me.
yeah, eyes would have been very cool but his eyes are pretty small

i dont know why but i LOVE lightcore jet vacs figure,it just goes so hard no matter what angle u look at him from
for sure one of the best out there, all the top tier ones are pretty close tbh and maybe jet vac should've gone above countdown for this one but I thought LC countdown's design is really creative and unique from his s1 whereas s1 jet vac and LC jet vac just have a different pose when not on the portal
For anyone wondering light codes do in game. You put them on the portal and then they spawn in by blowing up your opponents.
Lightcore Pop Fizz is probably not worth 50 bucks but it's definitely cool having every Pop Fizz and both his Superchargers

I got all variants of pop fizz and even made a custom dark one
I mean... technically speaking here, a few of the giants are also light cores. Granite Crusher's eyes, Tree Rex's hand lazar, I thiiiiiiink Ninjini's eyes too, and i cannot remember if there were more or not. Uhhhh... OH, ans also Eye Brawl's eye. Or at least the Halloween version.
all the giants feature 1-2 LEDs but technically aren't consider Lightcores, although they uss the same technology. It's also found on the battle pack magic items.
@Texthead good to know! I've always just thought of Lightcores as the 16 because they are literally just light up cores, as the name suggests

Light cores are pointless but strangely the most beautiful form of nostaliga I seen in my life.
I don't find them pointless, that's why I chose to collect them all. they've always been really cool to me

Oh damn, that means i was really fucking lucky as a kid, cuz Prism Break is actually the first and only lightcore i got as a kid, my question is (because i don't remember it myself) do the lightcore variants look any different from the originals in-game?
yes, in game they are slightly different; the part that glows on the figure is glowing in game too. So Prism Break's crystals would glow a lot more than usual in game.
With drobot, they could've also made his eyes light up. Or they could have made lightcore boomer.
I agree. my personal favorite idea is a drobot in flying mode with glowing exhausts

once you develop some sense of how motion works (basically just what looks good really) it's all about playing with the keyframes and changing the velocity graphs

Star Strike is one my favorite lightcores, but probably my favorite lightcore is Jet-Vac because of the reason behind why I got it. As someone who got the Portal Owner’s pack for Giants, I got lightcore Jet-Vac because the base Jet-Vac wasn’t available separately at least where I lived. So this was closest thing to Jet-Vac being sold separately and was the only way for me to get a character who at the time was only in starter packs. This obviously changed, but for Giants, it was my first Jet-Vac. As for Star Strike, favorite new Swapforce core and one of my first crushes.
Even though I didn't get the portal owner's pack, I did get Lightcore jet vac and honestly he's a very cool jet vac. you could have also gotten the Legendary jet vac btw
@@theSkylandeer True, but Lightcore Jet-Vac was easier to find, plus since its lightcore it can do a shockwave upon being placed on the portal of power.

I've been curious, as someone such as myself who hasn't had that much knowledge about any of the figures, do some of the Lightcore bases glow in the dark? I have one of Grim Creeper that I have, looks to be the same one you have here in the video in the exact pose minus the light, most likely due to years of use, but the skull on the base of it glows in the dark.
ALL Undead bases glow in the dark! Otherwise, no lightcore glows in the dark.

in my opinion I would like lightcore bumble blast if the honey in his mouth lit up and not just his gun and in skylanders trap team when you put the midnight museum or sunscraper spire on the portal it says on top of the name "lightcore"

How are your light cores still so bright? I can barely see the lights on my prism break anymore
really? a lot of these (maybe half) are second hand and I've used some of them quite extensively.
What sky landers do you not own if any, I have a lot and I might be able to send

I havent played Skylanders in years is there a way to play on my PC I prob still have all my old stuff but only have my PC now.
Yes! You can play all the games on Emulators and either use an emulated portal or a real portal. If you use a real portal, you can still use all your characters too! They also come with the benefit of better load times, fps, and resolution, assuming your PC can handle all that.

yeah that's a good ranking, I just feel like flashwing wasn't executed perfectly and Wham Shell is really good.

In my opinion lightcore warnado is probably the second best since it actually makes sense for his shell to glow. And the execution is perfect.
But realistically, nobody can’t beat prison break that one is a fact.
I just think Lightcore Warnado isn't super bright unless the room is dim, Wham Shell is much more noticeable and I love his pose
