@@phorchybug3286 if you put imaginator figures in comparison to other figures like giants or just the normal sized ones, it obvious why they are more pricey then others. They are bigger then normal, have bigger bases and more moves to be programmed in the base. And the imaginator cristals are also a view. They have to store all the information of the diffrent parts in one tiny canister. (And they included microtransactions) And with the "hated" i mean the skylanders i see in "worst", "most hated" skylander videos

I’ve been considering starting to collect Skylanders recently. My childhood collection isn’t very impressive, and most of the figures are in bad shape, so it’d be nice to at least replace and display some favourites. I don’t think I’d ever be able to collect every figure, but I could happily pursue a single element or group of Skylander.

Imaginators makes sense since nobody bought that stuff but Trap Team being significantly more than most other games really shows how beloved the game is by the community. I started replaying it and with the other games I noticed some memorable things but not a ton but with Trap Team, I remembered every detail of the early game because I loved it that much as a kid. Also if you take into account all the different variants of each of the traps, things get WAY more expensive
We have been slowly building our collection and I must say that the prices you found are on the low end of the spectrum as to what these figures go for (even in 2022). Scratch as an example was rarely ever seen for under $40 (you put it at $25). Thank you for this video, we enjoyed it!
Extremely low like I’d add an extra couple bucks to most of the ones he was saying were 1-8 bucks and I’ve never seen a sky lander online cheaper then 2 bucks unless u buy in huge bulk
Having collected most of the figures back in the day--save for reposes and Lightcores--I'm glad to see it would be pretty cheap comparatively if I wanted to go get the rest of them--save for Chompy Mage, the only one I actually missed due to not really releasing in the US. Guess I should be glad I collected Imaginators even if I didn't like it as much as the others. I'm surprised that so many figures spiked in price since 2017.
Honestly, despite being a bit sloppy in some places, this was a very well made video. You have a certain talent with video creation that I think should be capitalized on. Great stuff

I never got into Skylanders after the first one, but it's cool to see that the character designs have a consistent standard of quality throughout the franchise!
My son and I had so many good times playing these games when he was little. Now, we're having a bit of a Renaissance sharing it with my girlfriend's son.
I’ve recently actually been trying to get my collection built (and built back up because my brother sold most of my Skylanders I had before superchargers) and I actually got so much. More than my original cast but I’m still missing some of my old ones (rip legendary SSA characters). To see how cheap most of these are compared to back in the day, it makes me hopeful that once I get a good job, I may finally have all the characters I want to complete the collection. Except imaginators, I’m never getting at least 2 of them lmao

This is a bit late but thanks for the video. Its a fun baseline to try and "get under", in a way. I just got back into collecting for the first time since i was little, and ive been digging through garage sales and local online sites. The new games are really fun, and so is hunting through listings and finding value deals such as a 2 dollar Echo or 30 dollars for 10 Imaginator Senseis. :D

Luckily, most things can be found much cheaper when bought locally in lots. I bought and sold lots of this stuff, and was very fortunate to basically be just starting the games in 2015 and 2016. Trap Team is really the game where you've gotta come into lot of figures, but even with just a couple of traps you can pick your favourites.
i have no idea how i got here but, this is a cool video. never got into skylanders myself i remember seeing them in the store as a kid and thought they were cool.
This makes me wish I scalped more Skylanders. Stores just couldnt get rid of a lot of them, so i had no reason to horde anyone. it also Didn't help that i wasnt a completionist and that I loved what i had. But as soon as I got Imaginators for Switch, I was able to FINALLY find the motivation to sell them.
I like looking back at things tha grew up along side me, though I did notice that none of the Darkcore, special edition, and special event characters were included in the list. Ones like Easter color characters, GameStop/Walmart/BestBuy exclusive colors, and even the event Bowser supercharger

it's interesting to me that they rereleased the miniskylanders as orange/red base ones for trap team, when originally I know at least some were from SSA like terrabyte through a promotion event where you could get one (just for paying for shipping) by getting lucky with like the back of a chip bag or something
I had one of these as a kid from the Chip bag promotion! I was so excited. I got the sidekick Terrabite and it was the one I wanted! I was very happy with it, and then as an older teen was very disappointed to see none of my skylanders were worth anything. Sold my whole collection for like $30 at a garage sale.

I would like to see you play through all of the games using the cheapest skylanders of each element from that game only and try to complete as much as possible
1) I like SCL Matt and his store, but most stuff is out of stock. His prices are reasonable, but out of stock is out of stock. Sure, you might get lucky to get Ro Bow for $250, but you're probably going to pay $300-$400 if you want him TODAY. It would have been more accurate if you looked at solds on Ebay for their actual value. However, having one place to get all the prices is MUCH easier, I get it. 2) Do a video on what's the cheapest and/or best way to play each of the 6 Skylanders games. For example, give a list of the characters that are BEST/most fun to at least be able to unlock every door/gate with each of the elements through each game. It's great to collect Skylanders, but I'm guessing you can get all the elements and the game now for cheaper than just the intro set when it first came out for each game. You don't need all the characters and you certainly don't need all the most expensive characters either. :)
I have a bunch of swap force stuff I don't need or want. I wouldn't even if my WiiU wasn't dead. So I will definitely be selling that stuff. Didn't even realize there was a market for it.

You can get most of them at cex for low prices here in Scotland I got spring trigger happy swap force for 4 pound And dark aka silver and grey spyro from the first dame for 3 pound and Light core sky lander swap force star strike for 2.50 pound but it was pure white with the face being black

Awesome video, I'm happy I got back into skylanders. It just pains me how I sold all of mine a while ago. I have never had the urge to go back in time and slap myself, but for this reason, I sure as hell feel like it. The fact that I have away Knight Light and Knight Mare hurts. Luckily my friends gave me some of their skylanders, and I may not have any games yet, they look great on my shelf. The other day I bought some new figures, and some old ones that I used to own. I'm planning on getting superchargers for the ps5 this upcoming summer to celebrate another year of school finished. For video content, I really would like to suggest your thoughts on alternate versions of Skylanders. For example: Gnarly Tree Rex, Granite Crusher, Springtime Trigger Happy, etc. The ones basically with a different coat of paint.
Outside of Trap Team and Imaginators, I have every figure and in-game variant. For Trap Team, I need 11 figures, including Echo, High Five, Rocky Roll, and King Cobra Cadabra. I don't care about collecting every trap, but I have at least one of each element. For Imaginators, I don't own the game, let alone any figures, nor do I particularly care to, at least for now. I also have a handful of chase variants but none too rare or exciting, and I don't plan on chasing down those either.

Yes the light and dark trap masters going for just $12 is crazy. Todays eBay prices on them are around £20-25 (or about $30+)

I would like to see you play through all of the games using the cheapest skylanders of each element from that game only and try to complete as much as possible

I’ve really wanted Blackout and Breeze for a long time, and seeing how expensive they are is brutal

1) I like SCL Matt and his store, but most stuff is out of stock. His prices are reasonable, but out of stock is out of stock. Sure, you might get lucky to get Ro Bow for $250, but you're probably going to pay $300-$400 if you want him TODAY. It would have been more accurate if you looked at solds on Ebay for their actual value. However, having one place to get all the prices is MUCH easier, I get it. 2) Do a video on what's the cheapest and/or best way to play each of the 6 Skylanders games. For example, give a list of the characters that are BEST/most fun to at least be able to unlock every door/gate with each of the elements through each game. It's great to collect Skylanders, but I'm guessing you can get all the elements and the game now for cheaper than just the intro set when it first came out for each game. You don't need all the characters and you certainly don't need all the most expensive characters either. :)
I have a bunch of swap force stuff I don't need or want. I wouldn't even if my WiiU wasn't dead. So I will definitely be selling that stuff. Didn't even realize there was a market for it.
Im working on getting a complete collection , I still have alot to go , but I am just 4 figures away from completing the base 32 skylanders for SSA , so I'm making progress

I am honestly glad this video was made. But could it be remade with the dark and legendary variants too (along with other variant exclusives)? Cause i noticed they were left out.

The only annoyance I had was that he left out the special ones like the Christmas version of the water crab ninja in trappers

my video idea, is a quick one, "how to play warnado properly, and effectively, as my favorite skylander, I think, that he is very misrepresented, and played incorrectly, I think it would be good to give him a second look, and why he is a solid pick for many different instances.

I got spring trigger happy swap force for 4 pound
And dark aka silver and grey spyro from the first dame for 3 pound and
Light core sky lander swap force star strike for 2.50 pound but it was pure white with the face being black
Guess hunting for doom stone way back then was a good idea. Wish i would have kept it up for later games though..
I’m glad I never got rid of my collection now that I’m older if I sold my 100 something I’d have over 2000 but if you hold on to all your characters in 10 years just imagine the inflation. Though I will say I grew up with that game and I miss it. It was truly a beautiful game and I hope kids later down the road will get to play this game cause it was phenomenal
This games gonna die don’t sell they’re not gonna gain value probably the games aren’t great and the series flopped compared to other toy to life figures these will be worth nothing cuz how many there are and how bad the series flopped

Awesome video, I'm happy I got back into skylanders. It just pains me how I sold all of mine a while ago. I have never had the urge to go back in time and slap myself, but for this reason, I sure as hell feel like it. The fact that I have away Knight Light and Knight Mare hurts. Luckily my friends gave me some of their skylanders, and I may not have any games yet, they look great on my shelf. The other day I bought some new figures, and some old ones that I used to own. I'm planning on getting superchargers for the ps5 this upcoming summer to celebrate another year of school finished. For video content, I really would like to suggest your thoughts on alternate versions of Skylanders. For example: Gnarly Tree Rex, Granite Crusher, Springtime Trigger Happy, etc. The ones basically with a different coat of paint.
Good video idea. I am going to look over all of the suggestions and figure out what ideas I will be going forward with.

Do why Skylanders is underrated and why Skylanders was ahead of its time.
Outside of Trap Team and Imaginators, I have every figure and in-game variant. For Trap Team, I need 11 figures, including Echo, High Five, Rocky Roll, and King Cobra Cadabra. I don't care about collecting every trap, but I have at least one of each element. For Imaginators, I don't own the game, let alone any figures, nor do I particularly care to, at least for now. I also have a handful of chase variants but none too rare or exciting, and I don't plan on chasing down those either.
I was at a place I don't remember where, but they had the cinder from swap force, and I can confirm it is $5
