      In middle of 2020, I lost right-eye center vision (macula) due to rapid growth of blood vessels. Happen within a 24 hour period. One month later, peripheral vision gone. After avoiding seed oils (and also being on a keto diet) for several weeks, I regained 20% of my peripheral vision. Now up to 30% but still foggy, not clear. Part of a keto diet is fasting. Fasting promotes autophagy. Autophagy is the orderly degradation and recycling of cellular components which will then be used to regenerate new, healthier cells. Also, fasting promotes the production of Human Growth Hormone (HGH) which helps grow new cells. Can my body replace the damage with new cells? I am hopful. I would expect something like that to take one or two years.

      @Jeff.78 Před 2 lety +2

      I'm sure you're already feeling lighter on your feet. Let that be another piece of motivation for you to continue through next week, and the following week, etc.
      Different health benefits come at different times for all of us, since we're all different. Your individual results will come as your body naturally heals from eating properly.
      If you wish to do some intermittent fasting as well, that would help things along also. However, it's not necessary, because if you eat three carnivore meals a day, you are already way ahead of the curve. If you find you can do two meals a day or one meal a day, that's fine too.
      Figuring all this out is a great way to learn about yourself and what your body needs to optimize its health.
      If you crave asparagus and salmon in a few days, eat it. If you crave chicken for a month, that's fine too. Some people only eat ground beef and drink water. Some people prefer bacon and eggs with black coffee. There is a wide variety of options and don't be afraid to try something a bit different.
      A few weeks ago I had sausage for 3 days straight and felt kind of crappy. Upon further review, it was the fennel seeds that made me feel awful.
      If you really like ribeye, but it's on the expensive side in your area, try chuck steak instead.
      Also, salt your food to taste and your body will thank you.
      Hope this helps👍

      @@keylanoslokj1806 I think it depends on the individual. My own experience is certain fruits can hinder weight loss. It depends on what kind and how often and how much they eat. If weight loss isn't a goal and weight management isn't a problem, it's a different story. The body type and overall health matters. Blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, blackberries have a lot of antioxidants but sweeter fruits have a higher glycemic index and those aren't as good for diabetics or people with insulin resistance. That's why people need individual meal plans tailored to their health conditions and needs. In my opinion, using the glycemic index complements other weight loss methods.

    Such a great video & only half way thru. Went carnivore 10 days ago & the miracles are just beginning. For example; I have had candida & black mold exposure; that I have struggles with since 2005. Antifungals, Probiotics, Pharm Medications; herbal medications ... if it was there; I did it. I also have done every diet, teas, herb out there; incl a very strict candida diet for TWO YEARS .. celery juicing; whole foods; no red meat for 10 YEARS; vegan, vegetarian ... the cravings never ended since 2005. 2 yrs in bed & a 60 pound weight gain; added more complexities.
    TODAY: the tongue candida is finally receding & I am feeling great! I have lost 10 pounds of water weight. I am expecting the hypothryoidism; ckd & diabetes to be reversed .... or much better for certain. THANK YOU DOC!! Appreciate you!

I've been eating this way for a little over 2 months, and despite what anyone says about butter, lard, bacon, beef, and all other carnivorous foods...eating this way has allowed my body to drop 30 lbs.....not only that, but my blood pressure is down, my joint pain is going away, and I feel 10 years younger. People around me ask me what I'm doing, and when I tell them, they are shocked that it's SO SIMPLE. This is literally the simplest diet, but it has had the most profound impact on my life of any "diet" I've ever tried.
    My wife looks at me and says I'm "withering away"....my response to that is...no....I'm becoming my optimal self. I've done starvation diets where I was actually withering away, but as a carnivore, I'm feeling the best I ever have, while also shedding unneeded weight.

    I need to listen to this every day. At least in the evening when I binge eat. Sometimes I have a spoon of sour cream or more or I will whip up some heavy whipping cream, pork rinds. I know I’m not hungry I just have this craving actually bad habit. I was keto for two years and now carnivore since January. I love the clarity and no more pre-diabetes. Some days it’s easier than others. I hope to quit being down on myself for doing these things and make each day a day where I can overcome this. I love how this is changed my life and made it better - healthier, mental clarity, calmness in thought, amazing energy. Thank you DrBerry, for helping me find peace in my life!

    I hope that, as time goes on, we are able to continue finding sources of real human food. The possibility of losing choice has become a concern of mine. Especially lately.

    It is so nice not to crave anymore. Now when I am hungry (once or twice a day) I eat, I eat til I am satisfied, and then I am not hungry til the next day. I will never go back to sugar and carbs again. I am free. BP, BS and weight going down. YAY Dr. Berry!

    Another great video Dr Berry! I always look forward to your uploads😁. Intuitive eating probably works for those without a history of disordered eating and/or eating disorder. As someone with a history of ED, I find that I can’t rely on my intuition as I don’t quite yet have an appreciation for my natural hunger/appetite cues😩
