Got mine all done except for the door, one of my pivot hinges that goes to the bottom of door was stripped with no threads straight from the factory so I have been just waiting on the company to send me a new pivot hinge so I can finally finish the installation…your video helped a lot thanks!
How do you like it so far? I kinda of want to put one in too, but I’m concerned about the water l leakage and moisture on the 2x4 wall frame and floor.
Thank you for the video.. you make it look so easy. We had a contractor install a MAAX Summit 38L x 38W x 76.5H-inch last summer.. water floods out of the bottom whenever we have a shower. More so now as it is several months later. The floor is uneven under there. I can feel it. What is that circular device being inserted int he drain hole of the shower floor please? we think it is not aligned with the drainage pipe and that is why it is flooding underneath the shower floor and subsequently through the wall and into the adjacent room. Luckily we are in the basement and it on the cement floor
The Drilling on the metal base near the walls where the glass is are we supposed to clear the glass ends before drilling???Im stuck there and what is the little square metal thingy that was in the little bag of parts for the shower ???
@@katyantis HI Im not sure if you were meant to drill near the shower base? I thought you had to lay the base on some sort of concrete mix first .. interesting approach I learned some from your video
Do you have the Maax Summit shower kit installed? I don’t want to use the plastic walls and use tiles instead. Can i install the door on the tiles with the same base ? Please reply at earliest, Thanks
How is the glass panel on your left secured to the wall track? I have one that is slipping out. The rubber seal that goes down the edge of the glass is in place, but it's staying in place.
@@PlentyofVideo When I was there I checked for plum & level (all good). It seems it's pulling out when the door is open and shut. Rubber seal has "ribs" on it all the way down.
if installing in an unfinished bathroom, do we drywall before putting up the thin shower wall? how do we ensure that the shower wall align the thickness of the base?
Where to start with how many ways this installation is bad...as I have installed a similar MAAX shower kit in my basement bathroom. (1)The drain assembly tool was left inside the drain, partially blocking it. (2)He clearly showed the pan flexing when he walked on it, which means the floor is not perfectly level and flat. Either level the floor under the pan with a leveling compound, or set it in a mortar bed to stabilize it. The pan will eventually fail, or the flexing will cause issues with the drain connection. (3)Silicone caulks will not properly bond to the acrylic walls of these shower kits. The Sashco caulks work best for this application. (4)What the heck with that music? I turned off the volume. This hack job is almost as bad as the one done by the idiot who originally installed the shower kit for me. I wound up tearing it completely out, replacing the ruined wall panels, breaking up the concrete floor under the drain to position the drain properly, installing new concrete, moving the misplaced shower head, and then installing the panels and walls. The moron actually had screwed the acrylic panels to my walls instead of using adhesive.
@@PlentyofVideo unfortunately you are showing people how to do it wrong. Many will think it is a proper install and run into problems down the road. counter sink your screws.
Can someone please tell me how to get the cover off if the contractor threw out the metal rectangular tool that was to be left inside? I am so afraid to break it by trying to unscrew it. I need to clean the drainage pipe
Pretty sure the vinyl walls are supposed to go behind the aluminum glass wall frames so it doesn't leak onto the drywall.
Even he didn't check base level at all!!!!!
Yes. He didn't
Thank you so much for this video! Parts of it were extremely helpful! It was enlightening!
You're welcome 😊

Thank you for watching and feedback 🙏😊
This is my first time to see a tub spout in a shower! 😂🤣
I bought a similar model I’m putting in. I needed to see a visual to see what the process will look like! Thank you for this video
Thanks for watching. 🌹🙂

It's OK solar. No water leak or moisture. Even the door seals are still in good shape
Good video, appreciate the visual, keep it up!
Thank you
I wouldn't have this guys work on my bicycle.
They don't repair bicycle though

Doin similar doors but on tiled shower. Thanks for the video
You're welcome
You don’t put anything under the shower pan? We just installed one and it had so much bounce to it. We had to use self levelling concrete
Why didn't you put adhesive on both panels?
So just forget the tub spout in a shower… got it

A tub spout in a shower ! .. Like leaving your ball hitch plugged in on your truck!! LOL
What's is wrong with it?
Common practice in Ontario…
@@PlentyofVideo there's no tub. it's redundant, Useless!
Most likely used to be a tub there and it's easy to fill buckets, wash clothes etc.

Yes, you can. Make the tile over lap the base.
The door on my maax shower came off how do I fix it
what is the song that starts at 3 mins?
No measuring?
I don’t think you are suppose to leave that tool in the drain that tightens it.
Yes. That's right, we have to remove it. Thanks for your tip. I highlight your comment.

Maybe the shower base in not even

The weight of the doors pull it out. Need to put something under the glass a a support and clear silicon on the glass and frame.
@@PlentyofVideo Thanks for the info! I'm going back this Tues... 👍
If it works, let us know. Thank you

Yes. Do the drywall from ceiling to the floor the shower wall and base will be aligned
only if you are using 1/4" sheetrock will it line up
This shower pan will crack for sure since I can see movement when he steps in it.
Thanks for your tip
As others have said, its done wrong. The video also shows gaps in important information
Why the tub spout in shower 😅
for filling buckets or washing feet ? who knows 🙂
Any issues now ? Should I buy it ?
No issues. And working good

Can see the water not even draining, sitting forward in the pan...
I like the music 👍
What is going on in this video. Some explanation is necessary
There is a missing voice in this video
Spray foam underneath for less squeak

Should be called how not to install a shower

Would have been more helpful if he was walking us with words through the process as well.
the seat is way to small its not what thy tell you
The video was OK it could have been done better ....
Thanks for your tip 👍🏽
Just like installing a shower, if you can’t make a good instructional video, pay someone else to do it!
Wrong....!
Please explain it for others what is wrong with this project. It you can.
I came here for instruction not a music video!!
This video NEEDS to come down. It is completely wrong. Do the right thing and remove it
Stupid musik
Lol. Why 😁

I like it. Learn to spell
it sucked, just saying
Wow what a piece of junk to install in a bathroom. Hope customer not getting charge 10k for this crap.
The bath spout in a shower stall Bahahahaha. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
