He’s definitely not the greatest “skill wise” he takes bad shots jordan was a better passer rebounder scorer defender ... they r basically same from 3 it’s like 1 percentage point...n as far as bird he’s a better shooter passer rebounder.. Kobe a better defender even though bird avg more steals and blocks... this”skill” myth with Kobe is such a dumb argument.. I mean what skill is it exactly? He stole his footwork from Jordan...he’s not a better shooter than bird or Jordan....what skill is it exactly he’s better at?

Kobe is definitely much more skilled than Jordan cuz he worked harder, Even Phil Jackson and Pippen will tell you that.. Kobe was always a better Jumpshooter, much more refined footwork, wayy better ball handler and can be a much creative passer than Jordan.. He takes bad shots cuz he can make them.. unlike Jordan who can be exposed once a true defender guards him.. Jordan's FG was only higher because he had more layups and dunks than Kobe thanks to Pippen's steals and playmaking..

Simply put, Kobe = more range, better post game, better footwork, better ballhandling
MJ = more atheletic(speed, vertical, and driving hard), and more disciplined(clutch).
It's obvious that MJ has higher FG% if you look at both play. Their game is different, and similar in manys, but really, different. Imo, the most accurate conclusion would be that Jordan balanced out the time between working on his game and hitting the gym, where as Kobe prolly spent a little more on his game.

Realistically, Kobe does have unlimited skill range, just that his shot selection is really poor. Meaning that Kobe probably is the most skilled, but he does not control his enthusiasm as much as he should. But the fact is that there's really nothing that Kobe can't do. You gotta give props for that if you are a real basketball fan, because if you really are one, you should be able to tell how much work Kobe's put in, and you must respect that. MJ is the most clutch(discipline) tho, definitely.

Just because the NBA rules r more ORGANIZE now doesnt mean that the defense is soft or weak. the nba finally realized that the NBA is a PRO game not a hometown court game, no one should b hurting other players or throwing cheap shots coz that not being PROFESSIONAL..
