- It's September 1, 1986. You take on the role of forty-something Meredith Weiss, who returns from the big city to her quiet hometown. She exchanges her busy career at a software company to fill in for her dad, the local mail carrier.
During her two-week stay in beautiful Providence Oaks, Oregon, she runs into a few familiar faces as well as plenty of new folk. As Meredith, you get to decide who to talk to, who to befriend and perhaps even start a romantic relationship with.
Whatever happens, at the end of her stint she'll have to make up her mind: return to her demanding job in the big city, or stay in the town she grew up in?

If it were real life.. I’d be back taking the money in the city. But since it’s a game and love isn’t tainted and has happy endings.. went with Angie.
Same. Angie is definitely not the kind of girl Id go fo irl. And 5 years isnt too long to stick to a job and become rich so i could retire to the lake without being a boring mailman after that and still go on rv trips. But wanted a happy ending so went with Angie.
I wish Angie would’ve stayed in P.O, or even come to the city
@@andrewjpalla If Angie had stayed in PO I'd have stayed too and if she'd have come to the city I'd have taken her with me. No way I'm leaving that career to hump around America in a clapped out old RV.
Same here! Such a pity though that there was no way to ask Angie to come to the big city with us. Felt like a sensible option.

All of the endings left me feeling a little empty to be honest. I wish Angie wasn’t so set on going, I can imagine a future with her in P.O or even in The Big City! I ended getting in the RV ending with Angie but I honestly don’t know if I’d rather be there or have taken the job.

Fr the fact that I’d hear the same song twice with only one song in between them multiple times is wild😭 also not a country or folk fan so the majority of the soundtrack made the game hard to play for me. My least favorite song “Going wayyyyy down (south? Town?)” is twice as loud as any other song and you aren’t able to turn the radio off during it. Is it supposed to be the theme song or something? I should be able to turn the radio off like during any other song smh
I read comments about people wanting to run… you’re missing out, this game wants you to play it slow… this game is meant to be played slow… you don’t always need to go faster, enjoy the moment.
I loved the game! Perfect length too!
I ended up alone in P.O. Reading books and delivering parcels.
I really hope there will be a part 2 of this game.

Ending 3 was mine and I was very happy honestly I enjoyed this game a lot and it’s nice wholesome atmosphere.
to a capricorn like me the only acceptable ending was the one where she goes back to the big city and wins her deserved money. come on, college, years of work, to stay in a small town delivering mail? I would even consider IF, but only IF, we had stronger relationships in P.O... but we didn't, so it doesnt make sense AT ALL to stay. and even liking Angie, just throwing your life away to become homeless like that couple at the camping? NO WAAAAY

Damn, maybe it IS a capricorn thing. I just didn't understand any of the other choices. The relationship with Kay would be the only thing worth keeping. Angie is desperate to leave and Robert just kinda doesn't show any affection whatsoever. Plus it is implied that Meredith has absolutely no personal life in the city, which I find very difficult to believe

You are only being rational/logical, which is totally fine and the ´´right`` way of thinking, I mean, the other options are extremely risky and the big city choice give you the opportunity, not only to be recognized for the work you were doing all along (before the P.O. trip), but also of being more than rich because of it. Who would be insane to pass that? 5 years only, thats too short of a time! You can always reconnect with people, but a chance like that is one of a kind.
@@sazzam21 what family? All the options were like "run away with a random woman you know for two weeks", "stay to be with a random man you know for two weeks". That is just being extremely imprudent
I bought the game last night and beat it an hour ago. This was a nice game. It was relaxing and definitely worth the time. The radio was kinda annoying because of the handfull of songs that played, but outher then that it was great. Calming and peaceful.
I would have loved there to be more packages to deliver and the game stretch a little longer. I really hope they make a second game thats longer with more to do and faster movement speed. I also think it would be nice to see more arround the lake as well. I really loved the scenery and I wished I could have gotten out to see the lake at diffrent perspectives.
Lastly, I almost caved to the movie lady. She was more like a friend to me but overstepped. The lumberjack however, was full of mystery and I wanted to spend more time with him. I fell in love with the hardworking man. Nice dude and loves to fix things in a heartbeat. Idk, just felt like he would be more fulfilling. Curious as to what you guys think
I felt the same way about Angie, the movie rental lady & Robert, the lumberjack guy.
I love Robert
1. Annoying walking at glacier speed.
2. Sad Angie won't stay in P.O.
3. Needs more content.
4. Not as beautiful as Myst, but definitely up there as a chill game.
5. Needs an entire sandbox game after the first two weeks. Customizable character would be nice. Many romance options would be nice. Choice of home would be nice. Good ending/bad ending wherein the area is converted into a soulless tourist trap would be nice.

I stayed in good old P.O (id rather live in peaceful silence, then the concrete jungle, however no matter what road you take the travel is always unpredictable.
I chose to return to the city. Lumberman was a bit too toxic masculine. He was too late;)

I really enjoyed this game
I went back to the city becuase in real life thats what i would do, but i meet up with Angie at the end, and she wants to convince me so badly, i almost, but no. I think about it, on a road trip, eventually run out of money, no coming back to the company, so i decided to go back to the city, but it was a tough choice.

All of the endings felt lackluster to be honest. I chose to stay.
Although I had a romantic(ish) relationship with Angie, going on a road trip with her didn’t make sense. We barely spent time together and when we did we only spoke about her interests (movies). The relationship didn’t feel deep enough to drop everything for. I said we should keep in touch though.
Turning down Robert, after he creepily chased me down the street, was easy. He was incredibly boring and I was never interested.
The devs missed an opportunity to make Kay a potential love interest. She and Meredith had history. Staying in order to be with Kay would have been an easy choice. Convincing Kay to move to the city with me so I could keep my career while she pursued her music career would have also been fun.
Overall the game was okay (3.5/5). I’d play a second game if they made changes. Better dialogue/Better endings/FASTER PACE (at least let me run!)
Doesn't Kay have a good relationship with her husband? And they have kids too unless you have found a way to turn things around

My ending was a roadtrip without Angie :( felt sad I was alone so I tried again but ended up just leaving town and going to the big city💀 but then I played again and got to stay in the town and romanced Robert, sadly idk how to get the ending with Angie
You get Angie by going to the movie with her, about halfway through the game.
Hang out with her whenever you can, be sweet to her, see her at the open mic, go to the movies with her, and take the van so you can offer her to come with you👍
Worst ending is return to city it sucks
If you're an achievement hunter getting the last 3 endings is excruciating. Having to sit through 45 mins of unskippable dialogue, even when ending conversations early, they just repeat the fuching question. It takes 2 hours all up of unskippable dialogue to get the 3 endings. Boring ending to a boring game.

I don’t think it’s a “bad” ending. More realistic as she doesn’t see herself attached to her hometown anymore.
It’s not bad to be who you want to be and outgrow your surroundings. ☺️♥️
