Brad Heineck!!! I finally figured out where I knew you from! I was the girl at the ski hill rental shop tonight who said I knew you from somewhere! I knew it had to be the therapy field, then I figured it out on my drive home tonight! I’ve watched so many of your videos throughout the past 4 years! They help everyone - from patients to clinicians. Keep making great videos!
Low on cash? We take a moist towel, put it in the microwave until real hot. Then we wrap it in a dry towel and apply to affected area. Good cheap results.
I bought one of these because of your previous video. I had never heard of them. I just now see that one can remove the outer material to wash it. I do not know if it's washer safe, yet. Mine was the $99 model. Second from the largest, I think. I wanted the largest but couldn't fit it into my budget. Just for anyone who's trying to decide, only the largest one can bend, at the "hinges". When using on your back while sitting, don't have the brand logo upright as that position will cause stress on the cord. Just turn it sideways.
Point of Order: Correct terms are important.
Conduction - transfer of heat through physical contact.
Convection - transfer of heat through forced or flowing air/water/other "fluids".
turned notification off only because you guys post around 1:30 am. love you guys. have learned a great deal 💙
Most informative. Many thanks for posting. From NZ.
Yes! That’s so true! The 3rd. One will do it. Thank you so much 😊..
Just ordered the infrared Thermotex heating pad last night and it is supposed to arrive tomorrow, from Canada to Wisconsin. Can't wait to try it. Thanks Bob and Brad for this suggestion.
You will be happy with it. Enjoy !
@@BobandBrad where can i buy/order the enfrared? Its not available in amazon right now. Hope you can help me coz i have cervical spondylosis and lower back pain (narrow L5/S1)Thank you more power to both of you 😊
Was looking up reviews on far infrared mats for my husband’s T6 compression fracture. Happy to see your input. Used your code 👍🏼
What’s the code
@@shobhavaswani1960in the description of the video
Thank you for this info ( I use heat and ice often). ❤️
Love your videos, have learned so much! Can you make a video for older adults showing how to use a tennis ball on the wall for pain/knots and why it helps. I see you have some using the mat or floor but older adults won’t do that and a visual of going on the wall helps.
I just got one of these! Thank you! 😍
Thanks for the help guys!Lower back is killing me
Nice review guys thank you for your knowledge and time.
Well, I've suffer from chronic lower back pain that renders muscles extremely tensed when standing for long. Because the heat levels in an electric heated pad aren't that much for my situation, I therefore use two high quality heated pads (separate brands) by doubling them with a pillow case sandwiched between them just to avoid physical contact which could trigger their overheating sensors to kick in. I've stitched all together using a needle and thread.
Guess what? It works!! The intensity of heat when kept to highest settings of both pads really (sometimes unbearably) penetrates my entire lower back, sides and butt muscles. It soothes and relieving the excruciating pains instantly. I feel so relaxed and drowsy then falling asleep in the process. I have to adjust temperature levels depending on how I feel every time. Heat intensity last around 30 minutes then starts to decline. I simply switch them off to cool for 20 or so minutes and back on again. This is only suitable for people with chronic lower back pains who need deeper heat penetration. You could even triple pads for more. One thing to be aware of is that you're in total control because heat is emitted based on your settings.. no risk at all.
Thanks, I got mine, and what a relief and wow!!!!!
Is infrared Heat recommended for shoulder or hip burstitis? Thank you guys!!! and keep up the good work! 🙏🏻
Please do a video on mirror box therapy four the hand and fingers after a stroke.
Thank you so much. 🙏
So need to ask my doc for my osteoarthritis. Thanks guys.
Love Thermotex. Great products. I have 2 and cannot say how much it helps with back or hip pain. The pet bed is a favorite of my cats, especialy the senior one with arthritis.
I have severe chronic sciatica low back pain. It’s so bad most days i feel stiff and painful. I have nerve damage. Any recommendations to help ease the pain.

Can you do a video on bertolotti syndrome? Exercises that help? Strengthen ?
I need one of those hen I am outside camping so my question is does always have to be plug on wall outlet or are they rechargeable portable? Thank you.
Thank y’all for your help. I have been looking at the infrared heating pads. I have pinched nerves in my back and drop foot. I have been going to physical therapy but my left leg I still can’t pick it up to walk. I had the nerve test and he said one of the pinched nerves comes down my leg and that is why I have drop foot So I will have that rest of my life. But I need to be able to pick up my leg to walk. Do y’all recommend the infrared heating pad with stones in it or without. Thank y’all for all you do!!
always great m,k
Hi...I watch you guys all the time .Tried some exercises for the shoulder but they make everything hurt more. Now I did so homework on the far infared and it stresses that infared can harm the eyes and you shouldIR filters. What do you say?
I use my eating pad on my upset belly and it helps ,right now going threw a stomach bug and helps with the pain 🙃
How often can I use the far infrared pad? I got stiff back muscles due to long hours working on a computer. Is it ok to use the pad twice or three times a day every day?
Hope you'll do a review on Biomats with FIR, PEMF and Photon light.
What about dangers of far infrared? I was about to order one when I saw information about the dangers. Will you speak to that. I really wanted one but….
Which is best for dealing with sciatica? / piriformis system
Need to ask a couple of questions. Which one of the thermotex would work for a shoulder with bursitis? And would it work as well as ultra-sound?
Anyone know of a resource that discusses / differentiates benefits of not only infra-red, but the use of jade, tourmaline, & magnet stones? . . . and / or synergies thereof?
What about EMF? Very important to know this.
Any opinions on those shiatsu massage chairs?
Can you elaborate on wavelength of FIR and whether device is approve by FDA or similar certifying agencies in USA
I've never had much luck with infrared, the ones I've used just don't get hot enough for me. ( my optimal temperature is just shy of burning 😅)
Hello guys
Great info tonight. I wasn’t the infra red pad found the correct in Canada. Tried to get their newsletter 3x page reported missing
The pad is 249.00 dunno what the discount will be. Only problem is Zi never put my credit card online & no phone number for them
Can you give me additional info
Thanks
I have to turn up the volume all of the way,it is hard to hear you guys.Stay safe everyone.
Also what is EMF and does it meet safety standards in USA
Will this benefit my shoulders if I have rotator cuff tear?
Can this be used post delivery for body pain relief ?
What if I have a muscle spasm and my back gets tight. It hurts but is it inflamed? Heat or cold?
What the right temperature? I got a Renpho that covers my whole back & neck. Used it on the lowest setting almost felt like it burnt me through a t shirt. So I tossed on a sweater. Damn near wonder if this a a good Idea. Also. It says it goes to 150 degrees. But as I read. It says anything over 113 can fry you. Herniated C3, C4, C5, C6. What's my safest temp and time. Application. Thx
Red light therapy by Joovv is great! I use mine and have had great results!
I fractured my talus almost a year ago and was told that it would take up to two years to heal because that bone does not get good blood circulation. I was thinking I could use far infrared heating to penetrate into my talus and promote blood circulation so I can recover quicker. I've used your code to purchase thermotex products in the past but they don't seem to have any products that target the ankle area well. Do you have any recommendations on a good heating device for my ankle?
infrared red is only temporary relief
My wife and I use far infared daily. Also have a FI sauna which I use 4-5 x a week.
Can you do a video for carpal tunnel syndrome?
It's about a 12% discount on the Platinum version.
Need your discount code please. Thanks!
Are they showing the large one or the smaller one? Dimensions on the small one wouldn't be very big.
How can the deep heating work when the body attempts to maintain 98.6?
Hydrocollator packs are the gold standard and can easily be used at home by boiling the bag in a large pasta pot and simply wrapping in towels after it's been drained. The heat will hold for ages, it's safe and easy to use and INEXPENSIVE!! I'd love to try the intfra-red but was shocked at the price of this device that you guys are shilling here. You're terrific PT's, so why are you suddenly and so obviously pushing one product over another, when the gold standard deserves major kudos, no matter what other products hit the market. No problem if you guys are trying to make a buck, more power to you, as you work hard and produce valuable videos for us, but PLEASE continue to respect your loyal viewers enough and give us the credit due, that we are not idiots...we see through the hucksterism for what it is. It would be much more ethical for you to simply present the three different methods and offer your professional opinions, without PUSHING the costly infra-red version as the sole way to go. It's paying your bills, that's good news, but it'll break the bank for the rest of us and it's not a method that'll ever stand up to the simple genius of moist heat. Best to simply be honest and tell us the truth - that you've long used the gold standard because it's still a great treatment...but that you've now got this awesome additional choice that you can heartily recommend for those of us who would like to give it a try. Simple as that. GIve it a thumbs up (if you truthfully believe in the quality of the product) but please don't diss a major winner like moist heat! Dishonesty is not a good look on you. You were one of the few "good guys" out there...Geez, guys...you were so trustworthy, 'til now.
What about the infrared with amethyst ?
should use IR filters, what does this mean?
Can an infrared device help with an acute gout attack? TIA!
I find this Moist Hot Pack therapy really comforting. After I had this in the physical therapy clinic, I bought the products. I use them when I feel pain really bad. I used it today. I feel really comfortable after using this. It feels comfortable while using these too. Alhamdulillah. If people don't know how to use them, then leave these alone instead of bad mouthing them!
Could you please tell me what brand of products you purchased and exactly what they were? I have chronic pain in my back , legs and hip.
Thank you!
Small accident my shoulder got hair line crack this pad is useful may be reciverry
I have a question. I have degenerative disc disease and I still am pretty flexible. I do my exercises for my back daily. Is it okay to jump rope at the gym? I’ve had DDD since 2013.
How much Minute We should keep HEATING PAD ON ??
allso for authritis?
cant find thermatex where I live!
The infrared, are there ones for the neck? that's what I need it for, neck and shoulder.
I just talked with customer service and the lady said they’re about to release a neck heating pad in a few weeks. They’re just waiting for fda approval.
4:16 is where the video starts -- you're welcome
god these guys' intro is longer than a "beauty guru"
Thank you Sir
Sir i have a sleep disk problem for 3 years and i'm doing excercies for 1 year but still my pain as same as before and i don't want to operate my back please suggest me what should i do ? I have done everything fot it but no results 😭😭😭😭😭
I had same problem
1.Try sleeping in memory foam mattress. Don't go by latest theory of lying in firm mattress.
2. Use any heat therapy especially therma care heat wraps
3. Go for a walk for 15 mins
These may help
Two questions. First, what about thermophores vs heating pads? I use a thermophore in my clinic because it heats so much faster, and as you mentioned the moist heat feels much more penetrating (it's like the poor man's hydrocollator). I notice a much greater therapeutic benefit on my own DDD symptoms compared to heating pads.
Second question is have you heard anything about the type of energy emitted by far-infrared devices vs near infrared? I've recently read research papers on far infrared vs near infrared saunas, and the prevailing medical impression is that far infrared therapy should be avoided because the wavelengths are most closely related to the energy emitted from cellphones etc., which has proven to be physiologically harmful. I was disappointed to read this, as I've been a big fan of far infrared saunas (now I've switched to near infrared bulb saunas).
Thanks for your videos, and I look forward to your reply.
I would love to see a response to this… Because I saw the same thing. It prevented me from ordering one
How do infrared pads actially work?
What is the code?
Really like your videos. Is there a heating pad style where you can sit on it? I have left hip pain. The electric style has flexibility and I coujld fold it around the hip and sit bones. But directions say do not sit on it or crush it. The infrared model you have is rigid. I could sit on that (if you are "allowed" to). and use something else for the lower back at the same time? Can that be done?
This comment is old so you may have found something or don't need it anymore but if you're still looking the Sunbeam XL neck and shoulder heating pad is perfect for sitting on. They have a few types and it's not the renew model. It's 25x25 and mine is blue. It's not a fancy infrared but it works really well.

@@tiffanyc5088 Thank you !!!
@@netmouse1 You're very welcome. I hope your pain gets better.
Is there an infrared made specifically for the jaw area? It is the hardest area to treat with heat at home. I think I could really benefit but I don’t bother because it ends up being so uncomfortable with devices that are not the right size/shape.
iwillstom try Arnica oil and warm towel moistened with alcohol
*isopoyl
extendedclips Thanks. Moist heat feels really good but towels always cool off too quickly for men They are not the same at home as they are at PT places.
Black tourmaline. I use a small bag with the stones in n put in down my shirt or jeans pocket or hold them in my hands. Black tourmaline stones have deep far inferred. Amazing instant relief . Google pubmed for scientific researching on it. Hope this info can help someone.
They make freestanding lamps. Amazon carries them.
I work in a cold warehouse with sciatica bi lateral. My main problem is quadriceps and hamstrings get stiff and tight which reduces my range of motion. My question is what type of hot pack should I use while I’m at work during a 8 hour shift are there any brands you suggest?
Hello. I was diagnosed with L4-L5 disc bulge. I got no leg pains or sciatica at all. But my lower back is very stiff / tight which causes me lower back pain. Can you recommend exercises for this.. Thanks Dr.
TheonE they hqve all kinds of video's. Just type in their name n place on body u want. Or go to page n look around. Cause we all are diff, so they got xtra ones
Emf safe to these pads
So I don’t have to go through putting the item in the cart and entering the discount code, could someone just tell us the discount amount please?
need more promo codes update
The code only works on the largest pad. I tried it with the next one down and they refused the code. Just a friendly FYI.
I did not order the largest pad and got the discount.
Infra-red pad ($ ?ish)
Have a lamp. Rather superficial.
Am I stunned?
What is the brand and where can I buy it?
Anelisa Avelino link below it but other places prob cheaper
What about Infrared lamps?
Binoctim i would like to know the same? Cause who can afford up in the hundreds lol
OK I have to spout off here. I think personally that a really good hot water bottle is the very best thing you can do. This is just my opinion but those things are fantastic they gradually become cooler so you're not going to burn your self, and they are truly amazing
Is there some scientific proof that these infrared heat pads work 10 times deeper than a normal pad?
I would like to know what is in these pads that makes the magic happen. It is a pad, it doesn't work like a radiant or infrared heater, I am curious how it works since it costs 10 times the price of a heating pad.
I like to know why there are so many basic questions being asked here without answers forthcoming from you who are promoting this product. Such as .....what the difference is between near and far infrared . Also the difference between an infrared lamp and this enormously expensive pad.
Indeed. I thought the same.
How much did Thermotex pay you to advertise their product?
Exactly! They are selling and promoting while bad-mouthing Moist Hot pack which is really good, in fact. I bought them and use them. I used them today, in fact. Alhamdulillah. If people don't know how to use them, that's not the fault of the products. They are not a mess to handle either.
@@Thuriayaa so sweet
I love it when you said
ALHAMDULILLAH ❤️
Masha Allah
May ALLAH bless you with best.
I've had one for 8 yrs works great
Moist heat and infrared heat are way better than dry electric heat
Have you ever heard of click heat? We just got some for our patients
Maybe just me but had volume at max only hear half--------Can always turn it down--Like videos otherwise
Same
Mine is fine
I jogged on my treadmill for 11min and my spine is hurting I've been on this heating pad for an hour and there's still pain
As mentioned in the video you should use an icepack on a new injury to reduce inflammation. My chiropractor suggests 20 mins on 20 mins off for the first 48 hours then start with heat
Do wheat/rice heat pads act like your first heat pad..... only afew millimetres into the skin? I'm in the UK.
Thank you :). I'm 3 months after breaking my elbow. Was in a cast up till mid November, started physio in December. My arm is still bent at 40° extension and 100° flexion. I seen your video of extension of arm.... can you help with flexion on elbow? Idea for a video in future :). Thank you.
Is it near infrared pad?
FAR
Thermotex price to high..... who ever does the pricing for this > fail... make it cheaper sell more.. period!
have to buy 2 walgreens heating pads this year, made in china 17 bucks, the stupid control goes to blinyblinky red when it goes dead,,toss it out=,damnt rhings are junk
gram bought one GE item back in the 40s it lasted through college in the 70s
it had a dial thhermostat always worked
Throw a soft moist towel in the microwave for under a minute.
🎉🎉🎉
Volume level very low on video.
it shouldn't take three, four minutes for you guys to start actually comparing them
Very disappointed in this video. There's a strong lack of transparency do to promotion of a brand rather than product type. I'm not in any way adverse to affiliate or commission marketing but come on guys - speak more to the performance of the product types.
Hey why you come up at the top of the searches? 😐 You becoming too popular lol
Not a bad thing:)
cold packs are out dated FACTS... ITS NO USE OR BENEFIT IN USING COLD PACKS
Thermotech is to stiff to really work. UTK far infrared is way better.
Over dramatic with the wet heat therapy. You don't need four to six layers of towels.
