- Newborn mode is ideal for babies that are less than 23 inches tall, typically around 0-2 months old.
Soft, cozy and super comfortable, our newborn carrier is the sweetest way to stay connected. No complicated wrapping or tying. The Ergobaby Embrace keeps you and baby close as you find your new rhythm together.

I'm so glad I found this. Much more helpful than trying to read the directions that were given.
Agreed 100%. Manual they provide is first of all extremely uncomfortable to hold, it's like an entire map! And second they miss some info that they show in video. Ugh
I second that. Those instructions provided are horrible.
Those instructions are wack... I have a newborn that won’t chill if I’m not holding her. I don’t know how they expect me to even open that thing
Yes!!! 100% I was getting extremely frustrated as my newborn was crying trying to follow their paper directions. The video is much more helpful
I am a visual person. Videos are always a way to go for me.😀
THIS WAS SOOOOO HELPFUL
Best purchase I've ever made for baby. I have a velcro baby and all the other carriers I purchased just didn't fit right or feel good wearing. This one hit all the check boxes for me. Love the video, definitely more informative than the instruction paper that comes in the box.
I love my Ergo Original for my older babies, but unfortunately they never really liked the infant insert. So I always used a stretchy wrap for the first few months, but the only downside was whenever I'd put it on when we were out and about the ends of the wrap wound touch the parking lot pavement while I was putting it on. This I will definitely purchase for our next baby to avoid that problem! Seriously looks like a phenomenal carrier!
Seems sturdy and very easy to put on. But I wish the head was more supported like other wraps
Thanks for this video! The instructions were not clear enough for newborn and this video made it easy.
Took my newborn (2 weeks old) out for a quick trip to grab a coffee in this today - was perfect! Easy to put on, super comfy and felt light and secure! The only thing I miss with this carrier is a hood go cover their heads if it’s sunny or windy / for that bit of extra support when they are asleep
Thanks for your feedback and note. We will pass it along.
You could always throw on a nursing cover to give them a little shade. Won't help with the head support though.
Thank you for making a quality instruction video! I ended up with 3 Lillebaby carriers before having my baby and 13 months later I still get frustrated by them. They are so clunky and hard to use, on top of the instruction videos being practically useless. I feel like I was robbed of so many newborn snuggles by choosing the wrong carrier and this video alone has convinced me to buy an Ergobaby the next time around.
My 1 month was about to fight ❌ me cause she was not comfortable thanks 🙏🏼 for showing me this
I was just gifted this one. Could we please get a video on how to breastfeed while carrying?
I Love how easy this czcams.com/users/postUgkxvAj3godqGAIP5rApM1laH767JGtPG1-h carrier is to adjust from my friend to me taking turns holding the baby! It provides great support on my back too! This has definitely made shopping easier! I always get asked where I get it too!
Works well on a 6 foot 260 pounds broad shoulder man. Thanks for the video.
Hey Wesley! I’m also a tall broad shouldered guy - I find that the shoulder straps don’t stay spread out, but instead work their way back up to my neck as a carry my daughter. Does yours do this too, or did you manage to keep them on your shoulders?
Thanks! I was doing it all wrong
Nice
Thanks for the video ❤ It’s always hard for me to read instructions on paper 😅
When I doublefold it gets to short for my newborn. Is it still safe if it only folds once?
Is the product in Europe completely different than the one in USA? Our Ergobaby Embrace looks nothing like this.
My baby is 1m old but too tall for this carry as the neck bit doesn't cover up to the head. Can I fold it over just once?
Aww my baby’s name is Gemma.
What do we do if baby does not supports its neck by itself? Embrace does not support it either....
Can you do a video on how to get baby out of the carrier?
Sure! We'll do one on our social channels next week! Thanks for the note!
You said up to 2 (or 3) months. Yet my baby is 2 weeks old, and isn’t as big as that baby on the video. Her head is covered by the carrier. That baby is chunkier does it mean it’s almost time for that baby to not be able to fit in that carrier anymore?
So why do some people have to buy an insert?
My baby’s legs always turn purple when using this product.
Mi bebé solo llora y lo pasa mal cuando intento colocarlo en el portabebé
I tried to put my 38 day old infant in this and by the sound of his scream, I am sure he thought he was dying!,
Is it possible to breastfeed in this carrier?
I’m sad, I bought this because the wraps with my first were frustrating to deal with. Well, baby #2 is super long at 2.5 weeks and doesn’t fit in the newborn setting, but too small to be doing the bigger baby setting. Any suggestions??
There was no cinch on the bottom of mine
seems like the straps might be touching/dragging on the ground before baby is placed in the carrier? any tips to prevent that?
This carrier is usually using till how many months of baby?
25 pounds. Maybe 3 to 4 months?
Can baby be inside in fetal position?
I hope I can figure it out from this video cause the instructions are not “easy” like the packaging claims it is
My 1 month old keeps slumping down to where the majority of his head is covered. I already have everything as tight as it will go. What am I doing wrong? He is 8 lbs, 21 inches.
Are you rolling the bottom band twice? Have a partner help you there is probably too much slack somewhere
I have the same problem
I have the same problem, my baby is 3 weeks old he is 8 lbs, 21 inches
Why does she say baby instead of the baby. What's happened to the article for babies. I'm genuinely confused.
Is it really safe for a 1mo infant? Or it’s only for 2mo and older babies?
Same question! It says that the minimum weight is 7 lbs and my almost 1 month old is 7 lbs 11 oz and still looked too small for this carrier. Also, I don’t think newborns legs should be stretched out like that. I thought they were supposed to be tucked in?
It says up to 2 months not from 2 months

Baby hates this so much
Words cannot describe how much my baby hates this thing
Good thing you guys didn't use an actress with a horribly cloying voice. Man that would have been bad!
