The crankcase filter replacement will be very similar to all Cummins isx engines for 2008 - 2016

Thank you for the video, very simple and easy to follow.
Thanks for this video, its obviously not as complicated to replace in most cases, almost as simple as replacing an air filter.
According to Cummins service interval char replacement should be; Coalescing Filter125,000mi/3,000200,000km or 3000 hours.
Good video, thanks for the straightforward steps.
I change mine all the time and you DO NOT HAVE TO REMOVE INTAKE HOSE. Lean cover back and up a bit and YOU CAN remove filter and replace new filter. Removing clamp and intake hose is a way for mechanic to charge more labor.
thanks man gonna help my dad change his tommorow morning
Probably just for your truck. That hose got to get disconnected. It's impossible to get around it on a 2016 Freightliner
@@antjohnson3724 yeah I guess my truck is a special built model that does not line up with any truck ever made. Did you try to change one before you said your “probably” remark, or did you just assume that you are right?
Very helpful video my friend!!!..... Hey where is the crankcase pressure sensor located?
The video is good but the most important thing you did not add is the part number
I have a 200u volvo vnl Where is the ccv
filter located on cummins isx
I had a front cover gear housing leak on my truck you think this filter caused this problem? Thank you for video
Thank you so much for your help
FYI on a c2 bus it is under the oil fill cap
I have an internal leak could this be where my water is going ?????
can you make a video on how to change a Air Valve solenoid on a cummins ISX thanks
Cual air solenoid? The dozer solenoid?
Great video
Super. Thank you bud.
Thank you
muy buenos videos grasias por la información
Thanks !
@franciscoamayaYT
Gracias
What size wrench did you use? Thanks for video, keep them Coming
8 mm wrench. 5/16 imperial
How often is the filter supposed to be change? I read from 100K miles to every oil change. The best response I found was a PDF file from Cummins stating that it's every 1,000 engine hours for On highway vehicles.
According to cummins chart; Coalescing Filter125,000mi3,000200,000km
How often do I have to change this filter and how to tell that you need to change it what are the symptoms
Is better to replace crankcase filter twice a year instead of annually. Remember to replace your oil every 10k mile to 12k mile and crankcase filter and you gonna have less DEF problems.
Best of luck!
@@Hussary1 10k miles is way to often, i change mine every 20k and with the last oil sample that blackstone labs tested said i should go 25k miles between oil changes.
What if you have a leak of oil coming from the side of the engine where the line connects to the engine but the other end of the line connects to the bottom of the crank case??? So its leaking at the bottom of the line by the side of the engine
I have same issue just a drop of oil once in a blue moon, but is a leak.. did you fix that issue? Please let me know I want to fix my as well
@@otr48pluscify yeah I changed the filter and the leak was coming from the crank case line on the bottom connector it was plastic so be careful changing it also the bottom comes off with a clip. When I took the old like of it basically disintegrated so it was good that I changed it. I did it myself like an hour total line and filter was like 130$ just be careful putting the new line in because it is tricky to get back in and you dont want to break it cause it is not a strong plastic
@@otr48pluscify I also had a odd leak from the front of my motor but it was just a plug which was 10$ I don't know if there related or if you have that problem as well but the small circle on the crank case side on mine was leaking at the same time
@@thebeardedgingerontheinter3256 thank you, I change that seal at the front was leaking from there as well, I will buy the maintenance free crankcase filter and change it... so the tube from the crankcase down need to be replaced as well? Did you change the crankcase sensor?
@@otr48pluscify I just changed the filter and the line I didn't change the sensor out my filter was pretty bad I had just got the truck a few months back and that was the only problem I've had with it other than replacing fuel lines and transmission lines due to them not being secured down and rubbing against the frame
Obviously ours is a bit different shape wrong video
