    Our Honda Grom has already had a couple of engine upgrades. We started this project with a top end rebuild using a Koso top end kit • Honda Grom Top End Bui... and then we added an aftermarket throttle body and exhaust system in part two • Honda Grom Exhaust Ins... . Those upgrades mean new demands on the clutch, so we’ll show you how to upgrade the clutch on the Honda Grom.
    First, we’ll get the oil drained and open the clutch cover on the Grom. Then, John will show you how to disassemble the clutch and replace the clutch on your Grom with an upgraded Koso North clutch kit.
    We’ll also add another engine upgrade while we have the clutch cover open. An oil pump mod on the Honda Grom will increase oil flow and keep the engine-- and all of its upgrades-- properly lubricated.

    Never opened up a bike clutch before followed your video very closely All went well The only thing you should show as a pointer is when you set down the cover not to leave it inside down to drain the oil without checking the plunger before you re install, I got all the way done pulled the clutch and had zero resistance and I thought I just ruined my day lol. Reseated and all is well thanks for the vid

      @asfbi Před 2 lety +1

      @@ElectricElaine yeah I did the same thing took the cover back off, the actuator has a small o ring that came up and popped out. remove the plunger, push the black actuator back down in where it goes(I needed a mallet) then look in the hole where the plunger was, you'll see how it's supposed to fit back in. Make sure the spring is installed right on the actuator as well and that everything is working and be careful of it all when the cover goes back on. Test rode it after and all is well so far

      I’d like to see a comparison with a Z125 and a Z900 getting same mods in same videos side by side so we can see differences and similarities....
      it has nothing to do with the idea that more bikes given away the better chance of me winning one..... (no, seriously, I’ve never entered to win one of the bikes, so that an’t be it).

    torque wrench for 9ftlb/12nm and 47ftlb/63nm
    Special clutch tool
    Etc. And maybe wrench sizes

    On a different youtuber’s spring replacement, he also replaced the plate going over the springs with one that uses six nuts on six bolt ends and the replacement bolts instead of the original three and three (at 9:30), do you think it makes a difference? He was upgrading that as well as the springs due to the extra pressure from stunting, including mile long wheelies.
    Thanks.

    • @dominicschell6779

      Thoese extra bolts mean alot when your beating the clutch bc it will put to much stress on your clutch basket and it will ruin your clutch basket but its not necessary if its not being built for major stunts
