"Firing blanks are quite exciting" cleaning rifles after firing blanks is also very exciting
I prefer firing live rounds. At least the barrel is cleaner. Easier to clean after outfield.
Maybe someone.... "nevermind lah..just go go go!!!"
I am very grateful to my sergeants who guarded me closely during BMT and field camp. I was a very clumsy soldier who even hurt my chin with my M16 when I "contacted" the enemy, and it was my sergeants who took good care of me otherwise I wouldn't have made it pass field camp. By now I have forgotten everything including their names, but I hold this gratitude close to heart because it really made a difference to me back then.
“No one does anything unsafe” proceeds to point muzzle at platoon mates
Bro I think his safety IC more on covid restrictions. Plus they all have blank attachments and are already unloaded with their WCF in chamber.
@@merkava_7327 doesn't matter if blank attachment or even if the weapon isn't loaded, you never point a weapon at a friendly.
Which part ?
The missing ground sheet suspiciously popped up from nowhere. Bet the sgts just dug one from the coy store off camera so everyone can go home on time
Without the cam , the recuite will be charge for missing ground sheet lol
if need sgt help u find = weekend gone liao
@@bryanhong91 Ground sheet is 1206 only & maybe confinement
Definitely the sergeant asked the storeman for extra groundsheet
You really don't need to have a 1:25 minute intro for every episode. :D
anime has a 1:30 opening and closing song every episode :D
20:19 lol no fucks given 😂😂😂
they all should really be thankful to the camera XD
Can thank the sergeants without acknowledgement of rank.... what is going on in BMT now? That should have easily been a huge punishment for losing a store item.
cuz sgt also want go back already lol
Dude was so wayang the whole bmt the sgts were sick of him after
"you can prone like this? you very funny lah you" lol is this an alternate universe?
I love how the sergeant says put your family first before others or yourself.
The tom yum... murjo brand. My fav.. 加油recruit.. thanks for protecting sg. I miss BMT...
I remember they also used to have blue dummy claymore to practice during the last phase of bmt training and helicopter(urban building) fire movement and obstacle courses from stations to stations like how do you blend(hide) yourself in the surroundings and bomb defuse but you would need to reach over obstacles through urban structures and during the end of training, there also was a "leadership" rating for each platoons to rate between one another to see if you're more of a team player or a leader. My memory so hazy now thinking back pre-covid times Dx
i miss those field camp days, with maggi mee and hot coffee
In NS, only the buddy proning on your left and the buddy proning on your right are real. Everything else is wayang.
Reservist outfield will be different . We got coke, mushroom soup, maggie, movie projector, fans, jbl speaker.
Wah my time bmt we ate Maggie after our Situational Test which was on the last day. We were rushed abit to eat and as soon after that, whole company had to fall in. Our Commander started scolding us like crazy cause someone left their trash. We got screwed right away with 40 push ups. They shouted and gave only 60secs to run and get our field packs and everything else and formed up before marching a few kilometres back to coyline. Scary experience cause it came out of nowhere. Hahaha memories man.🤣
Oh wah interesting to have on last day... Like that I would rather skip the maggie cooking and go back Coyline faster to get fresh rations lol.
during my time there was no playing with fire, no Maggie noodle.. but have can combat ration where 2 person share 1 set... yes it was can as in "can food" that "can".
@@ahwongwk C-Rats.
Miss those section moment and movement to contacts
During my time, my sergeant told me, "Today you will taste the best maggi mee in your life" . So when he said it feels like taken to heaven he wasn't wrong.
My section mates order MacDonald to deliver to our spot. Damm shiok to eat burger during outfield.
the way they answer to their sgt...feels like they are not straighten yet.
Yeah, the tekan session like chill only ? Can walk someone in field camp
Bro, it was appalling. Wtf was that? Lose groundsheet and no punishments? Can still reply to sergeants like that and even have the sergeants help find. Sorry but this is honestly, too soft for our BMT training. And it is not good training.
Nah...actual 5 star resort is at nee soon camp. BMT coy line is like a 3 to 3.5 star resort
I guess those kinds of harsh bmt training from the 70s and 80s/90s u can experience them only in OCS or mono-intake like commando/guards/ndu special forces kind
SAR mono intake as well
I also thought the koka tomyum was super nice during outfield, but the moment I eat at home... err...
yo fax bro
spf dont have field camps when i enlisted in 2017 only is charlie coy and the beds
cold hard bunk floor was the only thing i missed most in tekong during field camp
I am surprised that the whole platoon didn't get CYCLED when one recruit forgot his canteen.
really wanted to see that sgt just look at the recruit straight in the eye and just say knock it down and nothing else
@@zaaq2030 maybe if they ever did a BTS thats where all the knock it down thats been surprisingly and unbelievably missing starts to show
Got camera what... Cannot tekan..
Looks like a good opportunity to everything in and everything out. Missing something? Just quietly get from army market
wah now all the sgt so good uh... or cause for tv cameras
served my NS in spf. thankful I didn't have to go to the jungle for field camp, yet feel I missed out on it at the same time
When posted to unit, the soldiers will wished they have been in spf, the frontline

fr. rushing to board bus first before other company then fuckers want to delay and drag time until no more bus then have to wait for returning bus
BMT trainings are really basic and easy as compared to those that recruits would experience when they later on move to their respective units (Private by then). At BMT, they have their NCOs to watch over their back and guiding them all the way. Unit life is really scary because you are almost on your own as a combat soldier. Your section commanders would just demand and demand from you and you learn things in the hard way during your unit exercises (the real thing and no longer training).
Who’s still waiting for the knock it down after 6 episodes ?
Yeah dk why they didnt show that this season. In the first season there were some which were shown
Ya this BMT does not even feel like BMT at all. That’s not how the sergeants behave. Comparing to the last singaporean son season, this generation of recruits did not fully experience what is field camp supposed to be. Just hope off camera is a different thing
im from neighbouring company to dragon, their welfare damn nice sia say got only 1 force prep for the whole BMT plus LO 2300 and Rev 0600 fking jealous
I remember after eating the maggie, at night having bad stomach. haha
ns reservist number 6 time , after 10 cycle completed they will say thank you for national service
The famous SAF saying "Shaq cannot think" is really true. Those who never go thru army will not understand. Imagine walking in the jungle at night and raining heavy and with mild fever, really like walking zombie, also once you put on the army helmet and uniform, automatically become "brainless" already.
Heavy rain PLUS goddamn muddy trail to the FUP. Half the battalion probably have their boots ripped. In comes the black tape requests from left right center.
yes la . this episode see more of the ps rather than pc
Why allow metallic spec frame? For safety should allow plastic frame
There was once my section mate ordered MacDonald to deliver to our spot(we are resting around the cemetery area) It was damm shiok to have MacDonald during outfield.
ord at 2008 for national and regular service ,they give you cetificate for thank you for service ,the end
baofeng radios! xD
I just realized I never ate instant noodles doing field camp...I feel cheated of that feeling :c

Sloppy.. that's an understatement, last time sgt tekan us like siao like that.. so lucky sgt now pep talk to you.
You don’t know what we face in field camp last time. Before getting letter kena tekan like there’s no tmr
bro the pcs made the sergeants leopard crawl around us to make us feel shitty before given our letters lmfao
BMT was the only time i cooked my maggi.... after that... maggi became mamee
Watch this better than Ahboys to men
i miss BMTC hahaha
hmm this field camp is very mild compared to what i experienced! i remembered after digging the shell scrape, we had to sleep in it and at 3-4am, the commanders suddenly threw thunder flashes to simulate artillery fire. after that we had to leopard crawl in fbo about 100m to the assembly point. as usual, we'll have some who get there slower which means punishment, jumping jacks and push up position in fbo with field pack on our backs.. immediately after that we had to do a tactical fast march of about 2km before we had our breakfast.. thats tekong bmt about 10 years ago
where do these guys insert their armor plates in the future? or did saf scrap that
@@jimlim4618 in the sbo vest, you don't get it in tekong only when you get posted out for vocation
Find it interesting they deployed a NSF Sniper Spec to BMTC as trainer instead of active unit
i also find it interesting why bmt sgt got sniper badge
@@jiahan22 go for sniper course but not good enough overall to get bayo
They are attached there, not permanent specialists. They belong to a unit. Due to a lack of manpower at BMTC, many unit specs (not needed at unit permanently) are attached to help out. Active units mainly only require these specs about 2-5 months prior to ord for battalion / brigade level mission exercises to be operationally ready (just like STs training and transiting to NS men phase)
Hmm wheres SIT Test, was looking forward to that lol
Yeah it’s different for them I guess. My field camp in BMT back in 2018 was 5 or 7 days and we had our SIT test on the very last day.
@@danieltsw yea same mine was in 2017 6D5N with SIT Test on the last day
still got sit test jus they never show
now 2022, 37 year old
This is just a start only, the real power field camp will be at battalion level, nowadays recruit r being treated well by the commanders, they like primary school kids.
My field camp had heavy rain at night.. was like sleeping with a river flowing at my back.. morning we used candle wax to warm our freezing hands
Section fire movement is one of the more difficult tasks to perform cos everything and anything could go wrong if live firing
Successfully overrun or overran?
9:07 Tekan Starts hahaha, no lah, actually its a pep talk。
That 'tekan' is so far away from the real tekan session cuz of the camera haha
In bmt... sgts can shout at the recruits... if you are in the reserve unit... things will be different
Still can shout la. Don't talk cock. But need to reverse psychology. In mission need to shout to secure objective
yes haha , in ict encik fk the sgt why task not complete , sgt ask men to hurry up , men fk sgt for rushing them . end up sgt ownself suck thumb finish the task XD
no leh...during reservist i still shout at my guys:-p

Never tekan before giving the letters?
Sadly I guess got camera so cannot...
The tekan session like easy only run to the forest in 20s
@@truelord mine was doing leap and bound for 4 times, each time about 100m and without rest. Ya quite ez no kick like that
I did a platoon combat PT 10km run with full battle order followed by clearing advance obstacle course.
wah dk is it cuz on camera but the letter abit too easy to get ah. During my bmt kena tekan until jialat jialat few people man down then give letter one sia. People start crying even before the letter was given
Yea either is the cam or maybe its just Coy culture cause its also coy dependent. My Coy also we kenna tekan so many PT and crawling around before we got our letters
@@ngorchengen3604 yeah, back then they purposely move us next to the latrine to tekan, crawl here crawl there , all the lj situp and push up position change. My ps once say, you can only get your letter if you become the ground colour lol
I think things are very different for COVID recruits. Alot of things had to be toned down. But I still don't understand why Sgt and Encik cannot shout the F word, KKN, CCB words at the recruits if masks are worn.
Mindef approve this kind of new helmet look more like mohawk.. if contacted from sideway sniper can headshot or easy to be shot at..🤦
Lol that’s what I noticed, what crap helmet is that. The sides are not well protected at all.
the new helmet is to facilitate other equipments like comms headset and night vision device which are required in real time combat but not during training.
The 19 min mark: wah wtf, can reply to sergeants like that now?
sgt: how u talk to me RECRUIT?! drop 20 for me
15:01 What you see is for the cameras. The real magic happens off camera and behind the scenes.
They wearing usmc camo
my OC and PC back is the best. never knew till i go out work. they are SAFWO unlike those commissioned officers. the OC is SWO selvaraj. The 4 PC all from different trades, from guards, Armour, SIR, and SIB. basically the OC choose different trade PC to instill and tekan us recruit in all different forms and elements. They tekan us and we are always last to book out from whole school 1 and 2 but then i will say they are more practical towards actions and real life scenario.
No sit test ?
Where’s the rifle raid?
I watched and grab some instant noodles lol 🍜😂
Definitely not the real experience if the camera crew aint there! Or is it that the Tekong experience have soften so much?
probably because of the cameras. i enlisted last year and our bmt outfield was hell. got quite a few man downs. maybe because i mono intake so the training fking demonic but these npcs in the docuseries legit damn welfare
i think with this kind of training when i read the letter, i also wont cry.. too easy
Bro go grow cock hair, serve first then say. you say this kinda thing cause you not there to experience it yourself.
most of my unit mates dont even cook the maggie, just straight up eat it as if it is a mamee cracker.
oh and no more SIT test? usually at the end of field camp
Alamak now no more whitening urself with powder? That was fun...
The only time you can cry without getting mocked
Most lepak field camp I've ever seen
Standards have slipped so much
13:38
wtf receive letter without even getting tekan?
worst tekan session i've ever seen in my life 💀 i remember when my coy had to do a surprise arti drill and prone in a shellscrape full of water collected from 3 straight days of rain while the commanders were screaming and cursing at us. every 10mins get up and continue digging. and that was just last year. maybe just mono things i guess lol these npcs had it so damn easy fr

No tekan before letter? that one called tekan?
This recruit Tyler guy might talk fine in interview. But his behavior is nothing but jus a rude and disrespect solder in bmt. I hope he dun get a commanding role in saf Many would say that saf have to change with times wtv. But I believe many would know and notice singapore saf training has weaken, rather then "safe and realistic"
"Do your best now... so next time... you can do your best"
When I was serving the Wataniah back then, we just allowed to eat the standard issued MRE. Cooking it tactically, and enjoy it tactically.
Those recruits are so lucky nowadays and not like my time ,sergeant will punish you till get it into your head.
Sergeant! you need to be more tough. You are training soldier not children. They will appreciate when the time come.
Do you think in war time, the enemy will also be so nice to us?
We are not israel or south korea where the threat of war is much more real, we are lucky tat we hav friendly neighbours and tis generation of boys are lucky coz we alrdy hav a well established operationally ready military force unlike the beginning when saf started wif no ready-trained soldiers yet and therefore the training was much more harsh to ensure tat our foundation is well drilled & structured so tat during war when everyone whether nsf/nsmen/rod is activated we wld alrdy hav a credible force long enuf to sustain enemy pressure
cannot lah....so many parents watching this...later kanna complain how...🤣
This is peacetime. Their enemies are the recruits' mummies and daddies who'd come knocking on their door if anything happens to their children. Then the higher-ups' promotions will kena.
