If the cameras weren't there, everyone would be asking each other "Want to eat my bird?" and other such puerile jokes.18, 19 years old, middle of nowhere, sure to have one.
tothemoon no jokes were made of those sort when I was there.
@@simpletn , I don’t know what you mean
I was from 33/98 OCC. I think this video is great! It brought back so much memories that would otherwise been lost forever!
Love the temburong jungle. welcome to my country Brunei Darussalam cadets.
Absolutely beautiful country Shazell. Blessed for our armed forces to be able to train there
I think we have to give credit to the camera crew from cyberpioneer as well, else we wouldn't have this video. Brunei's jungle sure isn't easy to go around.
really brings back memories in Brunei...
when i was there Philips was MSG now warrant officer liao =D
The quail was the best meal in the whole JCC, trust me
"ikan bilis also can ah" - LOL
In my JCC, I cooked my quail by boiling it in just water just like this vid. But the soup turned out to be really bland :( I suggest you to cook it with maggi seasoning or just roast it over the fire. Whatever you do, DON'T burst the gall bladder hahaha
Should cook snake!
@@megaredkentadate9834 snake ms gut v well clean well coz got alot of parasites
I love jungle training tht was at Brunei 23 Years ago..feeling like my aura was ther like u guys eheheh.. Anyway stay safe guys..
wow.. its nice seeing WO Phillip in the video.. he used to be our Wing ASM back in Delta.. he was SSG Philip then.. the amount of psycho training that he put us through was insane.. running up and down the stadium at 5am with sandbags in your FBO was no joke.. haha..
where's philip now? Hentak kaki ah HAHAH
Well done OCTs. Treasure that experience
I was from JCC class of '90. Hang tough you guys, whatever it takes to survive. Knowing abit about plant and insect species helps as both are easier to obtain in the jungle. The earthworms are edible too, if you can get pass the squirming part. Forget about the fish, their presence is dependant on the time of the year.
WO Philip was a very knowledgeable guy... was wif him for exercise last time and its just a great experience..
Nice one!
i dont remember having life jackets in Brunei during my JCC.
We just inflated our field packs with air. XD
great times. great times.
are there plans to cover things like Exercise Lancer in Brunei? I just came back a couple days ago and it feels like a worthy story to be told aside from JCC
ok noted... thanks that clears ppl like me up...
cheers.
agreed!
Correct me if I'm wrong, but I believe last regulation for JCC was jungle hat or jockey cap while navigating. River swim does not require helmet but is been a long time since i've done it so i may be wrong. Surviving phase, only rifle needs to be with you at all times and life vest while doing activities along the river edge. Helmet only required when setting up your long antenna as you've gotta throw a weighted string into the canopy
As it is JCC - they were explicitly allowed to not wear helmet. Further, TRS does not state that you must wear helmet at all times in a forested area.
Well, the video did show them doing it quickly.
Hope to see Sispec too :D
Probably they change the syllabus for JCC again but when I was there, we had to surrender our ground sheets. It is made so that cadets will thatch or weave their own shelter for their A frames and fire place. Apparently, in this video, it is shown that they have yet to make their roof and even used black tape as lashings for the fireplace.
been there done that....and msg philip is still there
The JCC badge can get me more girls attention?
true.
The quail head is like few times easier to pull out than the chicken and rabbit head...i still can remember the look on the chicken's face when we failed to pull the head out in one quick motion...scary
after seeing all these....I would like to see also how the SISPECs are doing
Hi cyberpioneer, are vegetarian trainees excused from decapitating the quail? How do they survived in the jungle for JCC?
hi cyber pioneer! what is the different white bars for ?
some got weird signs on top
Singapore hero
My mind is just hungry during JCC, i will do anything for food =D, 1 cadet jump into the river to catch fish, hunger really taken over him
8:10.. black tape, the one thing that holds the SAF together...
i know they did it as quickly as they could but damm..those wings are still flapping...arr...
Imagine vegans watching this
吃草吧! NI! in ‘Moon Life On Earth!’
May I ask what are the condition to be a egineer
Killing a bird to keep you alive. Thank god, you have something to eat. SOF Jungle Survival Course, you can't imagine what we eat. Your instructor is very good to let you set fire to cook. Remember the rule, you set a fire in the jungle. You are giving your position away and Sniper can take you down in 14football field away. Good that you guys made it....a lot more to go ahead...Good Luck!! (The more you sweat in PeaceTime, the less you bleed in war)
Sniper in the jungle can shoot 14 football fields away? Ok sure
yes i know, and i know that they aren't enjoying it either. just makes me so sad :(
This is not BMT..Its OCS and those are officer cadets. You can get here from BMT if you do well and don't wayang (suck up to your commanders) and do well in SIT test where they put you in different situations and mark you based on your actions and leadership
@5:16, Finding things to do to keep hunger away from mind is anti -survival. Wasting calories. @7:48, is that solid fuel? So good life nowadays...
Unlikely. As long as you are able to pass your IPPT and do well for SIT test you should have a chance for command schools.
INFANTRY!
it's still conscription
this is like man vs wild man
ikan bilis also can....lol....but this is so true...
u have a point there but i also believe that the way of slaughtering animals eg humane or non-humane does matter so as to reduce the pain inflicted on animal during the process...
Super nervous, my JCC is in 2 months plus.
Jeremywwk how was it? Haha it's been 6 years
5:04 ikan bilis also can lah..hahahahaha
com`on do u have to follow by` the books' all the time??...Its all about the Jungle Survivor Training,bro....and I think this training should be implement to all Riflemans too...
SISPEC should have this course...
always got people complain, u so pro u go do a similar video la
Engineer*
I will be going for a 8 week PTP followed by a 9 week BMT. Is this the enhanced bmt or the standard bmt? I have done my A-levels btw.
standard cos you need go PTP.i assume you havent complete your ippt
I don't think he was trolling, I've seen his whole profile. He seems genuinely insane.
it's in their field pack?
Selapon
why do they still have their groundsheet during survival phase?
Hi cyberpioneer,
The jungle confidence course is available for which vocation?
guards and commandos
but by doing that does it means that they will not pass you?
animal lover still loves the quail after all!
What if there is no quail supplied during wartime and soldiers are desperate for meat ,would you teach them to have traps to trap and kill animals?
Eat your own poo.
they are appointments held by cadets
What's the rank with the white colour circle stands for??..
holy shittt
In terms of desperate situation,it is allowed actually.
Are they doing a Ranger course?
No, this is the Jungle Confidence Course. It's part of OCS and also required for some other vocations.
Wait, if we cook in the jungle, and a enemy plane flies over, won't they bombard the whole area? You die, I die, and everybody dies?
Don t tell me that they bring and carry a cage full of Quil?
So great! I'm 15 now and I can't wait for NS. Protecting my Nation!
9 Years later, confirm think you damn wayang
I think we are only qualified to say that if we don't consume meat ourselves. Where do you think actual meat comes from anyway?
Well that could be true. But given the differences between Army now and then, where in the past worst case scenarios are presented, the Army now focuses more on practicality and realism. Just imagine, would you surrender your ground sheet to anyone when real jungle survival comes to play? Why use lashings when you have black tape that quicken stuff so much more?
7:03
Considering that America's federal law bans the sale or export of the F-22 in any shape or form, no.
I have begun to wonder that do SAF also consider looks when choosing who gets to go OCS... I thought so because the OCS trainees are quite handsome lol 😂😂😂
I thought they were just going to stab it but Dayum it was so badass
eh why fire place is blacktaped...
What does "wayang" mean lol? And what is the SIT test? haha sorry im new to this.
Just curious, what are the measures taken to prevent crocodile attacks during river crossing?
Thunderflash
cb leaf
Read in article how North Koreans military able to survive with food being quite restricted in the country.
Even with training isn't it likely for Cadets to develop medical problems like Urinary Tract Infection in the forest? What measures are there in case medical issues crop up?
TTPotterUltraPower I think someone will have communication set and there will also be Trainers who come and check on them regularly so the cadets are relatively safe
Hello if youre stuck in a jungle with no food do you still want to be vegetarian? Your Choice. Or would you like some organic pistachio salad?
Seems like you know nuts about Jungle Survival.
You think we really like it ?
Oh so you just twist the head and pull it out. Didn't know
RIP Quails
Given that the F-22 is no longer in production, what do you think? More likely the F-35. LM brought a mockup here for the airshow in Feb...
sxssio currently we have bought f35 and buying the f22 is impossible as us does not export
these guys certainly pass for promoting A-grade food no doubt
NS...............MY FUTURE
Omg. I died a little bit when I saw the Quail's head being pulled off. Haha~ But it's jungle survival!
Eh now they insert using Chinook ah? Damn i got the bus treatment:(
professional term cadet. three white bars.
Reminds me of that boy who died drowning that NS men.
Retribution
Why
if there is war im dead
I wasn't referring to this video. I was referring to my 9 week BMT. I wasn't sure if it was standard or enhanced because they haven't told me.
What in the sweet hell tarnations?
