Not gonna lie, I think everyone has different experiences. I was in Taurus in 2019, PTP batch, and the Sergeants in this video were a lot like the ones I had. They were reasonable and they took the time to train us without the constant yelling. I feel like instead of the sergeants yelling at us, they decided to approach us in a friendly manner which differentiated us from the other sections and that made our section make sure that we were always on our best performance to prove our sergeants' leniency.
Sometimes, it's in the approach. There was the usual yelling but it was reserved for scenarios where it was needed. Safe to say, our section ended us being the most disciplined and rarely got into trouble. It's all about trust. The sergeants trusted us and we trusted them.

For me, I did not really enjoy my time in BMT because I was physically and mentally not prepared for it. However, I really treasured my time in my posted unit after BMT. Training was very tough, we cursed under our breath at our commanders, but we always looked back and were able to laugh and reminisce about it. Friendships cultivated amongst the mates who had gone through thick and thin with me remain to this day. Did NS make me a stronger/better man? Yes I think so.

Hi Kids, its uncle Jefe here!
so we all gotta go through NS , like it or not (unless you're like super rich , and planning never to set foot ever again in SG )
wether or not NS is a complete waste of time or not , depends entirely on your mindset.
sure NS probably isnt going to give you any hard skill sets for your professional or academic life, but the discipline and grit it instills in you will carry you really really far.
i am not super successful or what, but im grateful to NS for it shaped me up to be a better person.
