Wow ! Thanx for the video 👍 I drove along the valley hundreds of times going to the supermarket in Naxxar (LoL) and had many glimpses and had to keep my eyes on the road but now I see that the valley is one place worth taking a closer look at !! Best regards :-)

Morning Steve...WOW that was a difficult walk , so dangerous , i was ducking under the trees watching that, you have the long walk back up the hill now. It would be interesting to walk in the valley and look inside the cave , one for another day . Take care......

A Great video Steve , thoroughly enjoyed it , an acorn or pinecone they are called mate , that hill should be called Cardiac Hill, its similar to the hill by Meliha as you go down to the bay ..we stayed one time at The Pergola on the top .lovely hotel insidea real labyrinth ...but we walked down then up .jeez was out of it when we got back .. you sounded breathless at the end totally and deserved the Cisk and sandwich ..Take care mate ..👍👍

I hope you eventually made it back to wherever you left your car. You need a medal for walking that road in the heat, dust and traffic. Lovely views up there though. I suppose when they built those lovely villas on the hill top there was far less traffic and all was peaceful countryside. Thanks for the views, take care, stay safe.

Hi Steve, you look like you did it hard :) I would imagine that road will be on Infrastructure Malta's hit list to re-build !!! I have been keeping up on all the roads they are fixing. The biggest headaches for Malta is it's roads. I never saw so many trucks :) the best truck in this video was the food truck and the ice cold Cisk beer. Cheers bud .

The stairs that go down to the old bridge is on the edge of the quarry face ,i tried to get to it from below but its very difficult die to lots of loose rocks and there is no way to go once you manage to go up as there is the hole behind it !

Steve,your like a spring chicken running up and down hills like a teenager, i walked though the valley a few times to the little chapel beneath where the torpedoes used to be housed,beautiful panoramic views from the top. Is there any chance of getting in to the old torpedo base, we could then call you cold war Steve lol

I think you're wrong the clue is in the cart ruts. The man didn't carry his mother up the hill he put her on the back of a cart 😀 I have another theory why there's so many cart ruts. Maybe the man saw a business opportunity and started taking other people's 'Mother in laws' up the hill on his cart. Like on Monty python where they do the 'bring out your dead' only the Mother in laws are alive and all live on the hill so it's peaceful in the valley. 😀😀😀

We thought you might have recorded some of the storms Malta has been having... I pity the poor holiday makers just arriving! We we're in Malta this time last year with the grandkids, no rain only sunshine. I suppose it's the luck of the draw, the only good thing is it doesn't stay long 😂

In my home, Denmark suicide isn't normally mentioned in papers, and many railroad people have been scarred for life because some people chose to end their life in front of a train. They are told to just walk back in the train after having started to brake, knowing that they would never be able to stop before hitting the person. Close to my normal stay, the "Danish Village" of Mellieha, we also walk over the fields to Mellieha town and comes up nearly where You have made a film also. But sadly some has chosen to leave their building waste along the path and that is "a bad habit" which also happen in Denmark, but not as open as here, I think?

@@EnglishmaninMalta I remember that when in Mellieha town You looked after somewhere to drink or eat, and in that connection, I will just mention that in our close by Park/Village, we have several restaurants and a shop which is, normally open during the day/all days! During the change of guests, if they arrive from the airport late in the evening, the shop is open also till late hours, for the guests to be able to buy what they need! The houses all have a kitchen, so it is possible to make your own food, if wanted. So for us up here from Denmark, it is like having a private "summerhouse" on Malta! And we have our own "Airways" also (Faroese/Danish, Atlantic Airways, with a Danish representative on Malta!), flying directly from Denmark to Luqa Airport! And our most used busses have learned Nordic Precision, so they arrive on the minute when used for something, transport or trips to somewhere.
And even just inside the first part/entrance of the Park, it is a shop open for all, and with a commercial sign on the outside Wall of the Park!
And when leaving from Luqa, going back to Denmark, we are called out in DANISH, in the loudspeakers, as a special Service!!!
And as Pilots and Crew also speak Danish it is a very comfortable flight for 3 hours, going down and up!
