- The Mosta Bride, or l-Għarusa tal-Mosta in Maltese, is a very old local legend, one which every Maltese child learns about at primary school. The legend tells the story of an abduction, while being a love story and one which highlights Maltese valour. No wonder it was, and continues to be so popular .....Originally this garden was inaugurated in 1975. During these last year’s this garden was abandoned and left in a deteriorating state. Thus, the Ministry of the Environment enacted a project involving the maintenance and embellishing of the garden and part of the Victoria Lines in order to restore it to its former glory. The garden is located at Mosta prior to the downhill road to Burmarrad. This garden has a total area of circa 3 hectares (23,700 m2). This garden is overlooking the villages of Bidnija, Wardija and Burmarrad. Adjacent to the Ġnien l-Għarusa tal-Mosta there’s a car park for visitors to park their car while relaxing in the garden.

That was a lovely walk ☺. I hope when the pirate found his sweetheart singing. .. she was in a bedouin tent with colourful blankets & curtains. Then the 'Turkish Delight' theme tune plays (Eastern Promise) ......he kisses 👄👄 her upside down (like on the old advert). Very romantic but then he notices under the colourful blankets she has spent years eating Turkish Delight bars and is now four times as big. But he is still very happy, he loves her.
The tunnel at the end is creepy it probably leads to the under world 😨😨😨 don't go down.

That is a beautiful Steve. I liked the folk story and the views around you have been stunning. Hi Steve! Very nice area. It would have been a lot nicer if the Government Planted tree in the centre too. Then the public can go there during the day and will be in the shade. As it is it looks too hot 🥵.

This why we just woukd long to be in malta having sunshine each day n it is promised to be. Here we don't know what it will do from day to day.
You should go to Gozo for the feast of St Mary on the 15th, there'll be a big morning march and a beautiful procession in the evening from the Cathedral

On my next (soon I hope) trip to Malta, I want to trek a lot. I hope to show my husband these trees if possible.
