  • 1. Adam of Hull and Seasmoke - As the teaser trailer went on, the first sighting of a dragon was of seasmoke, the dragon that was seen in the earlier episodes of season 1 and then just disappeared later on. Anyway, after Laenor Velaryon faked his death and went eastwards towards a new life, Seasmoke was left riderless, and therefore a new trial of the dragonseeds will commence whereby Adam of Hull will bond and ride the smoky ashy dragon and claim him as his own.
    2. Syrax - Rhaenyra meeting Seasmoke - Adam of Hull - The second sighting of dragons is that of Rhaenyra Targaryen along with her dragon Syrax meeting with Adam of Hull who has mastered and bonded with Seasmoke. Just as a great guy on Instagram named Siosin predicted, Seasmoke is a little bigger and longer than Syrax. His judgement and analysis is proven correct here. In this scene Rhaenyra will have a conversation with Adam of Hull and reveal to him that he is in fact a velaryon bastard and if he so chooses to side with her, he will be legitimized as the heir to driftmark along with his brother Alyn of Hull.
    3. The next is the scene in the Battle at Rook’s Rest which shows soldiers bathed in dragon fire. So, the infantry here are of the greens, meaning the ones who fight for Aegon Targaryen and the hightowers. Therefore, as by the books, the only dragon of the Blacks that will be seen in this battle will be Meleys the red queen, ridden by princess Rhaenys. Spoilers alert! This battle here won’t just be people being burnt alive by a flying creature, it will also have the first major dragon on dragon battle and this will be between Meleys and Sunfyre and then Vhagar coming in afterwards to make the fight a two on one.
    4. Moondancer ridden by Baela - This scene while it doesn’t show the dragon, shows the rider on top of the saddle, holding on and trying to navigate the dragon. This person here is Baela Targaryen, the daughter of Daemon Targaryen and the dragon in question is Moondancer, which is going to be a young beast about the size of Arrax at his time of death.
    5. Dragonseeds Burnt by the Wild Dragons - So, in this scene, we see a group of people being burnt alive. These will be dragonseeds, who are men with targaryen blood in them, illegitimate bastards and distant relatives that have their blood lessened by marriage with the people of Westeros. They will be trying to mount and bond with the wild dragons in Dragonstone to help even the odds of the Black’s dragon force. Thew ild dragons here are probably Greyghost, Sheepstealer & Cannibal, or just one of these.
    6. Daemon on top of Caraxes or Vermithor - The we have good ol Daemon on top of his dragon Caraxes, but is it really Caraxes here? Remember in the last episode of the first season, we actually saw Daemon trying to woo and communicate with an old Vermithor, a dragon that has been resting without a rider for a long time. Its not unreasonable to say that Daemon, in his life has had quite a few meetings with the dragon Vermithor who was once his great grandfather’s dragon. Therefore, Vermithor might allow him to mount him but it wont’ be a permanent thing. The reason I say this is because the saddle I see here in this scene is vastly different from the saddle used to ride a serpentine Caraxes. Anyway, it could either be one of the two dragons. Caraxes is and always will be Daemon’s bond but as we have seen in Game of thrones, a dragon call allow other to approach it.
    7. Aemond on top of Vhagar - Of course lastly we see Aemond on top of Vhagar soaring the skies above rook’s rest, probably giving morale to the soldiers of the greens. This scene here shows just how big Vhagar is as compared to all the other dragons. Her size is just tremendous and a sight to see. The next in size is Vermithor which although big, isn’t close to the size of this old dragon that has seen the days of Aegon’s conquest.

Everybody is bigger than Syrax. She's so underused. And that's prominently because they let her bound to the Dragonpit. Dragons don't do well in captivity according to GOT lore. They keep growing when in the open, sometimes too big for the world, like Vhagar and Balerion.

      SPOILERS
Yeah in the Fire & Blood book, Joffrey Velayron tried to fly on Syrax near the end of the war but the dragon rejected him when he tried to fly on her.
AFAIK I don’t think any Valyrian ever bonded with more than one dragon. Aegon II tried to get another dragon to hatch but that didn’t work.
There is still a bit of mystery on the mechanics of dragon bonding. What is involved in claiming a dragon, why can’t they own more than one, why do certain eggs hatch and not others.

I think you made a mistake with Sea Smokes new rider.
I feel like it will still be Laenor with sea smoke, mostly for the reason a dragon with a living rider can never be claimed. Dragons share emotions and feelings with their riders, in most cases when a rider died the Dragon mourned afterwards. SeaSmoke definitely knows his rider is still out there some where.
I’d say these scene will be Rhaynera and Laenor meeting up again for the first time after his return.
Remember he left because he wanted to “Live free and young again” well 10 years has passed. It’s possible he’s getting older, his mate died and he misses his life of comfort? So he returns.
I’d bet this is the case, otherwise I just can’t understand why they would change his death from the books just for it to cause problems with dragon lore.
Pretty sure the Dragon Seeds already know they are part Targ, this is why they choose to try to claim a dragon? I could be wrong on that last part but I’m not sure.

i agree with you. I think you right because actor who plays Laenor is in the cast of season 2. After i read this comment I'm so interesting about this plot. Cause Laenor is still alive but still i don't think so that he will fight on a seasmoke during the dance, I mean it wasn't in the books i I think so that this will be a really big chenge in hidtory of the dance...That's mean that we have 3 options: Laenor will somehow die and Adam will be the rider of Seasmoke, Laenor will take seasmoke again but he will not fight... just be somewhere but he will not be so important or Laenor will come back meet again Rhaenyra and leave again what will mean that Seasmoke will nto be show during war.... imo 1 option is the best, Adam and Seasmoke had a big role during dance like ( SPILERS ) he will be one of two dragons who will betreal Rhaenyra and get on the green side. At least it's really compicated!

@@Im_a_VirGo definitely couldn’t see Leanor showing up and removing sea smoke from the war.
One this would really mess with the dragon lore after the dance. We know what happened to all the dragons even sheep stealer and nettles. Many don’t know this but it’s heavily implied that The Burned Men of the mountain clans of the vale created their religion/ burning practices based of Nettles and Sheep Stealer. Men would travel to the top of the mountain to face the “fire witch” and would come back with burns to prove they survived! It’s never full out said it’s Nettles but it’s definitely her, GRRM always throws lil nods and secretes in for us all to put together that’s what makes the myths of this world so interesting GRRM never gives us flat out answers he leaves it open for us to interpret.
Anyway I got kinda off point my whole point was that that even in the first 2 books GRRM was throwing little hints to things from the dance and what happened after! But the end of the dragons and where the final few went were actually really important to the story I just couldn’t see Sea smoke being takin away. That would just leave a lose end that would need to be tied up.

No one can ride Seasmoke if Laenor is still alive. So is Addam of Hull actually Laenor or has Laenor been killed off?
And Daemon cannot ride Vermithor because he’s bonded to Caraxes. And he’ll never be able to bond with Vermithor because he’s ridden Caraxes even if Caraxes were to die. Think Joffrey Velaryon and Syrax. So it’ll be interesting to see if it’s Hugh who rides or they find Rhaena another dragon.
