Wow!!! Sir, I can't thank you enough for making this video. I had to go to your other video on how to find the 5 digit code. I followed your instructions to the letter. The hardest part for me was lifting the center piece up and off over the gear shift. I almost gave up, but I used the butter knife to help pop the top tabs, then I was able to lift the whole piece up over the gear shift. I used my cell phone to take a picture of the 5 digit code. Then went back to your video on how to do a new 5 digit code. It all worked perfectly thanks to both of your videos. I don't have the words, other than to say thanks a million for the help! Thank you for this video!! I have a 1994 Lincoln Town Car Executive that the security keyless bar has the 5&1 wore off because that's the code-51551. One morning, I went to back out my driveway & noticed the hood was unlatched.🤔?? I didn't do that last night, but I remember someone was outside, talking loud in front of my house. I figured that this scoundrel went to pushing the 5&1 until the door lock popped open, he pulled the hood release, but didn't open the hood. My fiance& I were having a "loud discussion"😒 which I think scared the thief away.
So now I'm paranoid about someone knowing my door code, open the hood, and mess with the engine, that I want to change the code now. I have the owner's manual and repair book for my car. Now with them & your video, I can change it now!!☺️Thank you so much!!
Hopefully that was not the factory code because that cannot be erased

This is one of Ford's best universal feature. I literally made a decision to buy a car over another car brand as both cars were both in good condition but because I have had vehicles in the past with it I understood how valuable atleast to me this feature is.
The G.M. car I was thinking about even had 10k less miles.
One of the top 10 reason I prefer Ford .
I use this feature a minimum 3 times a day on my vehicles

Just a heads up.
If ur lights, the keyless entry lights,come on and stay on. Change the battery in ur key fob. It's the alert to tell u ur battery in ur fob is low. Its in the manual as well. Hope this helps someone. Ive had 2 fords. 2002 Explorer and 2013 Escape

Thanks for this video...also, thanks to Karein Reid for her comment as well. My first vehicle with all this electronic stuff. I like it but, wow do I see alot that may need repairing which requires electronic troubleshooting. Heck anymore all I can do is change oil, trans fluid and to the brakes. They now got me by the "whatever". Soon I hope to get electric car and avoid all the messy fluids. Then I will be totally out of luck trying to save money by working on my own car....why did I ever sell my 1956 Chevy??!!!!

Great job keeping this tutorial informative and short. Here's my big question?
When you press 7-8 & 9-0 simultaneously to lock the doors, does that also mean the alarm is activated or are you just simply locking the doors?
It is just like you locking your car with the key fob
What if you don't have code an can't get in truck because it's locked an keys are inside

I saw you press the last 2 buttons, does that lock it? And is there any other button sequence I need to know? Going to try this now!
Pressing the last two buttons locks the doors. After you press the code in if you press the 3-4 button it will unlock all the doors.

Correct me if I'm wrong. The factory code will ALWAYS work, even if 3 custom codes are programed and you do the erase all codes function.
The factory code can never be erased unless you replace the Body Control Module
This cannot be true. So if I purchased the car from my neighbor he would always have a way to get in. Shame on Ford, this should be recalled

After it unlocks the Driver's door press the 3-4 button. That will unlock all the doors. To lock all the doors pres the 7-8 and 9-0 button at the same time.

Great video, but when I followed your instructions, the locks didn't cycle. This escape was bought second hand (from a body shop so we are assuming it was in an accident) and perhaps the door is not original to the vehicle. Is there any way to find out the code for a particular door?

Yes it cannot be erased. You can program up to 3 personal codes.

2003 mercury grand marquis, clocked my keys in the car and don't know the code nor have access to any of the stops to find code.. any suggestions
I am not sure on that one. It has been a while since I have seen one of those.
I could not do it on my 2014 Edge. I got the factory code and it cycles the locks but nothing happens after I enter my 5 digit code and 1-2. same with erasing code, after following the steps no lock cycling.
Check you owners manual. This is the first I've heard it not working. Good luck and let me know.

I dont think you can find them. Those are dealer add on key pads and I believe the stickers dont match the keypad even if you do find them. It is just like the new Rangers and Focuses.

Unfortunately those are the aftermarket ones that are installed at the dealership. The codes on the body control module will not be the same as the pad. You are probably going to have to take it to a dealer, or just press random buttons until you get it.
