how to replace re string line trimmer weed eater bump feed

this is a video to show you how to re string the line on a bump feed or automatic feed line trimmer. Regardless of the name a line trimmer, edge trimmer, weed eater, weed wacker or whipper snipper the process will be the same. After watching this video you will be able to replace the string or line on most bump feeds as they are generally the same whether you have a straight or bent shaft and one or two piece unit. Having no men around. This really helped me.

No, you need to trim it to size 👍

Depends on the guard. Mine does. There will be a little blade on it if it does.

That's what we grew up calling them. My husband's family calls them weed eater/wacker, which I hadn't heard before until I met him.
Also, this is how I restring mine. I find it very frustrating. Can you not feed it into the holes and turn the bump knob to spool it, or is that only other models? I'm about to try now anyway so I may update shorlty.

Stuff doing it the hard way Mate, replace your bump feed cap *($5 at Bunnings)* and simply wind the line into the feeder head 👍
