- How to replace the line on a bump feed line trimmer, weed eater, whipper snipper or weed wacker. If you install the line incorrectly on a bump feed / head line trimmer the line simply wont feed out when needed. I will show you step by step how to install the new line as many of big brand Husqvarna, Honda ect will have the exact same process to replace the string. Your instructional video is just the ticket. Followed your instructions, and I accomplished the task no problem. Only thing was getting the head off was a bit hard for me, but I persisted and it came off sure enough. Thanks Bill.
That’s awesome thanks 🙏 Bill. Best example I seen so far. I was apprehensive to respool to the point where I bought new spools already loaded

That's a good tutorial fella. I've used weedeaters for years but was a bit stumped with the cord fit process for my new Harvic from TopMaq. No arrow on the spool but I figured it out. Thanks !

Thanks Bill

thank you mate \m/
Great video as always. Just leave that grass another two weeks and you can cut it for hay
Thank you
👍
I use genuine 'Speed Feed' heads which are so much easier to reload than the type shown here - just thread through the new line, turn the top of the head until the line is in and you're ready. Don't know if they fit onto the shaft of the machine being shown in this video but there may be adapters available. I use a Shindaiwa which accepts the speed feed heads.
Legend
Oh gosh, just get a Stihl (FS 131 or above); those box-store power-tools, in most cases, are underpowered, unreliable, flimsy garbage. Those Stihls truly are worth every cent. I also found replenishing the line in the Stihl to be pretty easy, and the attachments for it are really, really nice. You can also get new heads/attachments pretty easily.
Geeze I never knew that's how the cutter works! Great vid for that alone haha. Have you heard about soaking the line in some warm water for 10 or so mins? The still line actually recommends it incase the line has become slightly brittle in storage.
Iv never heard that before 👍👍
Mine feeds out under load for some reason. It's the same head as yours.
Any idea what it might be??
Good to see you got the Husky. How do you like it. Had mine for over 10 years, never an issue.
Trimmer is good but the lawn mower is under powered. I have to try to increase the power on the mower. When I have time to play with it 👍
Great video as always Bill!
May I ask what brand of cargo trousers you’re wearing there? Do you have a favourite brand?
The ones in the video are king Gee, not that great. My favorite are the fxd brand but they have recently changed manufacturers and the quality has gone down significantly. I need to try and find somewhere that still has the old version. If I find them and you want to know more I’ll do a video on it 👍
@@billshowto not heard of either of those. I use scruffs right now which are quite good. Love to see a video on workwear clothing. Perfect!
Great video Bill, thank you! I have a new bump feed line trimmer that says you thread the line through the head and then wind it on… the problem I’ve had is that when I increase the throttle to bump the head, the line goes back into the head. So frustrating. I have tried winding the line from scratch and it still happens. Do you have any suggestions? 🙌🏽
Maybe the line is going the wrong way?
I always buy the stupid hard ones with the eyelets, not the nice easy slots like this one has. Those buggers are like trying to give a cat a pill..... damn near impossible.
And you've got a second option when the line is too long. Take the guard off and run wild!
I'm lazy and just let the cutter that's moulded into the guard cut the extra line off for me once it spins up 😂
🎉how chage the gascket
Whippersnipper 2 or 4 stroke bill? 😃
2 stroke, I love the high revving motor👍
Do you have a external mic, sound quality
No external mic. Is the sound bad?
@@billshowto no its good
👍👍
My spool only has one groove.
What is a buddon?
Lol same as a button 👍
Awesome! 30 fkn years clueless.
