    Hello, respected professor, thank you for sharing the useful work, I have seen most of this kind of work in videos, but the work of making this loading device is much more basic and I don't think this part is the only part, you must have shared it from the beginning of the work. Please post all the parts of this type of device and explain, for example, part 1 and part 2, etc. It would be very kind if you could do it, thank you very much.

    very well thought out machine, I don't have a CNC machine to cut the gears but I'm thinking a chain and sprocket system could work...

    Hello, what material did you use to wrap the traction rollers?

  • @larrysauriol759
    @larrysauriol759 Před 6 lety +1

    What type of rubber did you use for the pressure rollers, and where did you get it? I'm amazed at how well they worked, the hardness (durometer) of the rubber seemed to grip the wood well. I've built a thickness sander too, and want to add pressure rollers to the design.

      Hi Larry....I am in the process of designing an industrial machine and I, like you, am mystified by the lack of info regarding details. The friction rollers that I have are 35 " wide and I have covered them with a 100mm wide tape in a spiral. The tape is used for sticking to concrete to avoid persons slipping. It is a self adhesive tape with fine grit on the surface. It is avail able on eBay from many suppliers just search self adhesive anti friction tape. I have used the 25mm wide tape and have spiral wound it onto aluminium rollers with great results. Rolls cost about 7 euro foe 100mm by 5 metre.
      Good luck

    Hi, could you tell me if the roller is hollow 100mm PVC plumbing type tube?
    And what did you use to cover the drive rollers?
    Thanks for your video!

    • @FromTheWood
      @FromTheWood  Před 6 lety

      No. The roller is made with MDF in the lathe.
      The pvc is a good idea, I think.
      The cover of drive rollers is rubber, but the work is not well. I had to fix that.Thanks
