- In this video I continue building my 28" drum sander with lifting drum. In this part I made a lifting mechanism based on an old car shock absorbers and M20 threaded rod.

Thats the first time here on CZcams, i see the concept of lifting the sandingdrum instead of the table.. Thats a much better solution..in my opinion.. I also want to build a thing like this, but with electric lift, like i did on my table saw build.. Anyway..thanks for the inspiration and greets from Germany.

Отличная работа, только стоило бы делать нижнюю опорную из древесины?

Вроде все хорошо, но стоило предусмотреть устройство натяжения цепи. В этом случае было бы проще юстировать положение барабана, сначала юстировка, потом одел цепь и натянул. А так придется как-то выходить из положения.
