TAMIYA Legends Hello buddy thanks for the input and your not entirely wrong, I thought from the beginning it was Pro or Sal, too which I’d love even more but the gear ratio is the later and stock msc and mounting post was included along with wheel and rim. You are correct on the wheels and tires and even early pros had the same shocks but an under tray was pretty normal for Pros. Nonetheless These oldies always got parts switched around in the years. Common for these old beasts thanks for watching 👍
Nice old buggy this one, only kyosho stuff i got is a old mini-z mr01 that sits on my shelf along with a mini-z monster clone thats in parts atm called the iwaver 04. i guess you ordered some of the re-release parts mostly for this ? there is both the chain drive this originally released with & the beltdrive ofc. There is also a re-release of the javelin so you could probably get the parts too build the turbo optima & change it between a javelin and optima mid pro from time too time perhaps as well & kind of get all 3 at once. That is the turbo optima rims btw so worth keeping around for sure.
Hello from Australia. Thanks for the great videos pt 1 2 and I just picked up a Vintage Optima as we and want build to the same budget. Can you provide the part numbers servo mounts etc.
Aro800 hey bud, so the parts are battery hold is part #0205 and steering brace #OTW106 and body reissue #OTB245 and body brackets or stays #OR-45 I hope you have it on the road and looking good thanks for watching 👍

The optima Pro had a different radio plate and the steering servo was mounted further back near were the MSC servo would have been.

@@LukesVintageRC thanks Mate, how does it run on the chain drive and maintenance wise have you considered the belt drive conversion?
