    Great tip. I didn't realise the pillow balls also adjusted camber, makes sense to me now why there is a clip with a nib on the top pillow balls - To gauge where the camber is set.

    I am intrigued with the pivot ball as I've never had one on my RC's. I'm wondering if you guys lubricate the joint at all or it runs dry. One last mention seems the pivot action occurs outwards of the tyre which I would say would cause some tyre scrub. Does this effect handling compared to conventional C hubs? Thanks for the informative vid.

    Damn this is the second time I watched this video, I forgot to test with the servo unhooked.. after my install of m2c retainers and delrings, I still had a lot 9f play tightened them till play was gone but servo seemed to be struggling a bit. So of course I backed out the retainers till it moved free , but I didn't do it properly. Back to the drawing board

    The retainer nut is the only nut I fear to take out completely. It’s so easy to mess it up when you try to put it in again. Good tips anyway, they need to be checked once in a while.

    I wonder why so many people need an explaination how the pivot-system works. Very rarely I see pivots correctly setup. The meaning of the system is having no play and when it occurs to re-adjust it.

      You can use plumber's tape or use the O-ring that is now supplied in the V4 6S cars. This should prevent them from backing out.

    Awesome tip , how do you remove red hex and pin that wheels sit on
    Cheers

    • @AussieRCPlayground
      @AussieRCPlayground  Před 8 měsíci +1

      Inside the axel is a 2.5mm hex grub screw and you'll need to back that out a bit so the cross pin can be removed. Be careful though, a lot of the time these grub screws are really tight and will have thread lock on them, so before you strip the hex - if you feel it's too tight, use a heat gun or a small blow torch to heat it up and it should come loose very easily.
      Hope that helps and thanks for checking out the video. 😎👍

    Here's a question.... why do people call it "Pillow Ball"? I always thought it was "Pivot Ball" which makes more sense to me, and checking the Arrma and Xray websites they also call it Pivot Ball, so where did Pillow Ball come from?

    • @AussieRCPlayground
      @AussieRCPlayground  Před 3 lety +1

      Maybe it's just a misinterpretation that stuck? 🤷‍♂️ I honestly don't know, but there are some strange names for the same things all of their world, it's totally unbelievable that they're called "pillow balls".

    • @AussieRCPlayground
      @AussieRCPlayground  Před 3 lety +1

      Best way to remove a stripped grub screw is to drill it out, unless you have screw removal tool. I've drilled out a couple of screws in the past and it's the only way I know to take them out.
