TRAXXAS XRT! Come on Kevin? Whiskey Tango Foxtrot
Traxxas XRT
When you figure out how much money you shell out for a model, it's insane. 110 x $13.99 USD
Be genital with it, Kevin! 😂😂
Had more issues with my armmas and traxxas than my Corally, ❤ my Corally 👌🏻
For $250 less than a sledge though you can get a bunch of spare rod ends.
I’ve come to the same conclusions about most of my cars. 4S is all you need to have a blast with most RC cars. Trucks, truggies whatever. More than that and it is really like strapping a rocket to a bike and hoping for the best. Which is also fun if you don’t mind spending all your time in the shop repairing them
Lol back im the day we had fun with a 1500mah nicd. I still get by with a 7 cell nimh hump pack. It is competitive against 2s on the local clay track.
Yep totally agree.
@@GreatBirdOfHope yeah true. I guess I mean if you wanna run max power and speed without having to spend every evening making repairs. 4S is as high as you want to go. You can still run 50-70mph while having decent power for wheelies and backflips (with correct gearing) but not so much as to blow apart differentials, wheels and tires not to mention gears and motors. Over heating esc’s and all the fun that brings. 6S cars and trucks work well and last much longer if run at 4S
Yeah I'm coming to that conclusion now myself, 4s is the perfect amount of speed for driving around a track with jumps imo, 6s is great for going super fast in a straight line but it destroys your tyres and you're babying the throttle most of the time.
Definitely. Sometimes less is more
If I could only have one channel, this would definitely be the one I pick. I don’t even own a RC but this is just great to watch. Thank you for the content!
get into the hobby, even a cheapo chinese one, they're a hoot. One of the best horsing around buggy for a newbie is the wltoys 144001. Faster than hell, metal chassis, handles great, oil filled shocks. I picked one up for $90 CDN with free shipping. Easily the best bang for your buck.
@@muskokamike127 Thats a really good price. I'll look into it thank you. I know ill have to give up one of my other hobbies lol.
@@robertprowell7933 yeah, the price has gone up a bit since I bought mine in may but they are still very very reasonable for what you get.
there are tons of reviews on youtube about it, the general consensus its a great buggy. I have no ZERO complaints other than the motor does get hot, might pick up a heat sink for it.
try HSP Brontosaurus 1st.. cheap,fast,tough..
This dude made my buy rc car. And i bought stampede 2wd now im saving for either xmaxx or xrt
Stock corraly is also super fast
Happy to be a Corally Fan boy as this truck deserves the credit where due. All RC's Break when being thrown off of skate park ramps and that includes all brands including the ARRMA EXB range. Have seen countless bent chassis and broken EXBs. We all have brands we love but have to be fair to Corally as these trucks are their first entries into the bashing market and they are doing quite well in my opinion. That may me controversial but oh well.. dont care not here to follow the crowd hehe!! 😋👍
I used to love sitting there watching Knight Rider with my dad as a kid! Always thought about getting him the kit, but monthly takes the fun away. Wouldn't mind buying it all at once and sitting there with the old man building it one evening. 💯👌🏻 But now you have the kit Kev, maybe we can see you build it something a bit different? Then you could try squeeze some rc gear inside maybe! 🤷🏼♂️😂
Wow! As I am looking at subscribers it's been 1,5 milion since I've notice you!
Great job
Regardless of the haters I love your videos mate
I prefer the Kev who talks bad about Corally… “you can’t make everyone happy”😂
8:39 - many say this model is smaller than they anticipated. They get it and soon find themselves wanting more.
It's the best 1/10 Basher. For the price, durability and handling the MT10 has no Rival 😉
Love the video great job keep up the good work and can you review the tamiya race truck please
Radical rc bash bar is a great upgrade for the Kronos. I have one on my shogun and it’s pretty bullet proof.
Let's send it kev! It's quite brittle, but still capable of doin some hard bashing..
Wonder where's the xrt or the HPI 5.9 truck 🤔
i own a radix 6s and other than the shock lower end caps un threading themselves, its been rock solid on 4s, love it.
6s+ starts going out the fun zone and into crazy land LoL
We love ya Kev.... You sir are awesome. Thank you for bringing me back to the good old days when I was a young buck...
More epicness from the master!
I just picked up the older model (Kronos XP C-00172) in a black friday sale. Took it for its first real bash today at some dirt bike jumps and it honestly did quite well. The handling is great, stock servo honestly sucks but otherwise the only thing i broke was one of the plastic shock ends when i lost sight of it and landed badly. Its def a rocket on 6S though.
7:33 , OUCH, the Arrma fans are going to hate you for that!!!
I love my kronos xtr. I bought aluminum steering rod ends from jennys rc specifically for corally. They come from "Japan sourcing" in japan. Total cost with shipping was $30.00
I have alot of Respect for you Kevin! Willing to admit faults, always giving good honest reviews! I always look forward to seeing your next video!
BETTER THAN THE ARRMAS!? Them's fighting words! jk, keep up the great work Kev!
Hope you get your hands on XRT soon!
So looking forward to the XRT coming to the UK, probably won’t be until about Jan 2023 tho 🤨
So happy to see this video, and I agree, it’s not really a skatepark basher, although a few choice upgrades, radical rc bash bar and Jambo wheelie bar (or any wheelie bar you can suitably attach) my punisher is an animal, and I have yet to upgrade to 7075. Again thank you for trying again and giving it a second chance.
I've been going back and forth for about a year now not knowing if i should pull the trigger on the Kronos, not crazy for Kraton like everyone else is, although i do like the Aarma brands. But this here, I love everything about it, the body, the look, and the speed but some viewer comments have made me hesitate. But hearing and seeing it from Kevin may now have tipped the balance. I may get it after all.
It’s nice to see that Claire still knows how to courtesy🤣!
Cool video showing different brands 👌 😎
Heya Kevin, what you think of the new Traxxas XRT?? Might beat the xmaxx, hahahaha.
Kit looks like fun....Will it be like the Eaglemoss Build the Delorean. I just love building a car to 95%.. Bankruptcy and about $2200.00 usd.
You are definitely the best person to do durability tests on rc trucks 😆. Love the content ❤️
Ooh! Thanks for the upload Kev love your videos!
Hot tip to
Mark the rod ends with a lock grip pliers. Thanks mate. Great to see a video again.
Kit my first ever rc, back in the mid 80’s, it couldn’t get up my driveway unless I put in slow mode haha, still loved it as the led’s worked too
For the price the Kronos is now and the parts you would need to upgrade and make it durable, it's still well priced for a 1/8 truggy.
Good model bro 👍😁
You are the best Kev🙏
hey kevin i like ur videos plz do try typhoon offroad rc car
I love your videos
I bought one . In 10 minutes it was a dam jigsaw puzzle. If you are looking for a good steer servo. use ANAMOS. Full stainless steel gears. You can't beat it. It's the best.
I like the design on the body of the car!
Kev! Wait till you see how durable I've made the Associated MT8! It's more suited as a 4s truck too.
I know it's difficult for you to get redcat parts there, but if can manage to get them, THEY MAKE ALL THE WORLD OF DIFFERENCE!!!
It's 100x more reliable than my kraton exb.
Kev when are you getting the new traxxas XRT and sending it to the moon for a tumble wumble?
best rc guy in entire world!!..lbcf......let's be kidos forever
Really good video Kev good mix of bashing fun and some details about how it drives etc.
Why is the servo torque given in mass?
Nice video kevin. I just love when you post man. Always gets me excited. Do you have a video on putting in that servo you put in the corally but in the xmaxx? Does it fit in the standard size servo tray?
All I can say,
I TOLD YOU.... These XTR are my best Handeling basher period and I actually think they ARE a Hardcore Basher IF you get the plastic steering links and Turnbuckles😍 then she good, the 7075 is WAYYYY better than Arrma and the Handeling is what does it for me. Your right 6s geared up is a LOT, Either Gear down 6s and way less punch or 4s geared up more punch is FANTASTIC.
I appreciate that you are reasonable on your stance towards Corally.... They really do make high quality RC, I have been Digging HoBao as well brother.
Great vid Kev, see ya round
They are awesome . Love the way everybody is changing there tune
Please review the element rc nightrunner and the gate ceeper build kit please
Very nice video again :) As I'm lovin my Revo 2.0 and I think that the driving characteristics are similar (apart from 4S to 6S) I would be interested in a comparison, perhaps also together with the Sledge. Love your vids - keep it up :)
Any rig should survive nice bashing like you were doing in my opinion but then you always get the odd breakage anyway so if it's nice to drive and puts a smile on your face then you can't go wrong!
I'm ready to see Kevin send an XRT to the MOON !
honestly, the plastic chassis that traxxas has for their 1/10th scale cars are some of the best out there, they are durable, cheap (usually like 35-40 dollars), and light weight, one cannot go wrong with a good plastic chassis tbh. Also on the new servo recommendation, the perfect pass servo may be good, but it is also a 100 dollar servo compared to a solid budget one being around 20-30 dollars or even 10 dollars if you go super cheap.
Power hd has some amazing cheap servo's, you can get them every where even on ali express 😂
@@moped121 I mean, i have a servo, and I tend not to drive in a way to break servos, but a nice fast servo is nice if you know what I mean.
@@moped121 I use Power HD servos myself. I haven't had one die on me yet.
@@skree_fpv436 yeah they are quite good for the money
Good job bro 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥
You should do a demolition derby 👌
hi kevin I am from the Netherlands and watch your videos on youtube and wanted to ask you something. do you also have this model? BSD BS502T Monster Truck 1:5 Scale 4WD Brushless Truggy RTR
Funny you mention the Ecoboost, mine have ALL started going out. I bought 27 of them almost exactly 2.5 years ago and it's fucking weird how everyone of the servos that I use consistently are failing. Weird
I love KITT
In fairness you beat these beyond normal wear and tear. I ran my outcast into a railroad track and broke the A-arm. But as much as I personally think it was a faulty plastic piece when you hit a train track anything goes
Yeah, I'd say a fair few of the reviewed cars on this channel will do well in the hands of the average user (this includes me), driving on this side of Talbot. As an example I've only ever popped off the top of a shock on my Slash. Nor have I harmed my Xmaxx yet.....yet.
Enjoy the curry!
We want more Kev more Kev more Kev more Kev more Kev!!!!
Hey kevin how are you love your videos keep up the good work
Still waiting for an rc company to claim their truck is skate-park-rated
I quite like my SPT Brushless servo in my MT10. At 7.4 volts it is ridiculous and I'll be giving it 8,4 volts soon, specs say it can take it. I only have one though (for a few months now) and two more are coming for my Revo 3.3, we shall see if they're good in the long term.
So cool kev! Keep it up !!
I've always used the jx eco boost servos in all my trucks, but the last two I've bought both died really quick. One is a sledge and one in a scx10 3.
you are my role model❤
Thank you for telling the truth it is very rair on the net .
Respect .
Looks like where Kevin lives they banned the traxxas XRT he hasn't gotten one yet 🤔 😂
Hey My name is Ethan Ritchie I’m 15 and love rc cars. Your videos are so good!!! Your awsome Kevin!
Kevin I bought the MN 99s and I want to make it more powerful and fast what motor esc receiver and transmitter should I use and how many volts should the battery be. Please reply
We need more videos from Kevin , best rc tester….. love the lambo
So I have been watching your videos for awhile now and I really do enjoy them. I recently got my first car and it's the WLTOYS 144001 and it is alot of fun. I was originally going to save up to get the 6s Typhon but had to use a good chunk of what I had saved for something else so I settled for the 144001. I definitely see that I really do need to go bigger because it's really hard working on that tiny car when I am wearing bifocals and my thumbs don't want to work very well. However, I have my first rc airplane coming in a few days and I suspect that I am going to like flying far more than driving and the beginner airplanes definitely seem to be very durable and easy to work on, so I suspect that I likely won't be getting another car any time soon.
My buddy at church wanted to get into rc's and that was my recommendation. That way if you don't like it your only out 100 bucks. First day driving it he slammed into a metal pole at full speed and bent the drive shaft. 😆 mew part ordered and driving class will be soon. He's probably about 45 years old but never too late to have fun.
@@coryharlow995 I'm 47 myself and the 144001 is alot of fun and I would definitely recommend it to another person just getting into it. My only complaint about it isn't even really about the car itself it's just the tiny little parts that are difficult to manipulate if you have any problems with your hands or fingers. And it's also very fast for such a little thing which surprised me because on video and in your head 30mph doesn't seem fast but seeing it first hand is a totally different story.
Where did you find Claire? She is awesome! Lol 😆 🤣 😂
I am about to buy one of these. Glad i just come across this video. Made my mind up i will be getting one
Hi Kevin love the videos. Is it worth buying a corally dementor?I'm thinking of getting one as it's the cheapest 6s rig to buy.any help or recommendations would help thanks .steve
Kev I got a slash 2wd and it’s fast I have many 4x4s and over volting it makes it go 70+ it’s very fun, I hit a jump and it went 40+ meters
Could it be the gyro affecting the servo if you have it on?
That Kitt car you showed was really cool and that RC truck is not bad at all
Love how Claire just booted it out of the way. 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Why ask Claire to move? It's only a Kronos XTR....no need to move, is there Claire? 🤣🤣
Wow , that k.i.t.t. is cool. ... But $1500......I don't think so..
Would 6s still be as mental with the ESC set at its lowest punch settings because no doubt you could make 4s more undriveable by putting it on its highest. (Depending on what factory setting is).
It's not as mental from a start, but it's still absurd because the punch setting doesn't change the overall current delivery. It only affects the initial delivery.
@@rustler08 oh yeah I know that it basically only reduces amount off amps dumped at once an doesn't effect voltage so 6s is always going to spin faster and higher than 4s but what I mean is when you're off throttle doing 25-30 mph and you get back on throttle again (especially if you're a throttle smasher) reducing the punch could mean the difference between doing a 30mph wheelie or it flipping straight on its back and blowing a tyre out. And if you're off an on throttle through the air making air control less aggressive
Are you gonna get the Traxxas xrt
9.00 made me realise how cool RC robot wars would be with Kev and his crew.
When are u gonna do the review on the outcast/kraton 4s v2? Been waiting to see how u rate it vs the first one!
8:46 no manners at all! Running over a wiggling corpse like that.... 😂
Tyyy I was gonna buy this car I wanted a review
I’m wanting to buy the rc fireteam is that a good truck?
It is cool, but i still recommend traxxas
I agree with you on jx ecoboost I got one recently that only lasted one pack on 6v bec 😔
Ah memories, I had an rc KITT when I was a kid, didn't bend the chassis on him either 😄
this could be one of the rare times , you actually not wrecked the car
8:45, a very good beginner rc car is also the arrma granite, brushed or brushless
Is it just me or did those charging voltages looks just fine? Most of my batteries look something like that when they charge.
0.09V difference between cells is not fine!
Claire just kicks Kevs truck outta the way. 🤣
We need the XRT video
Cool vid kev
I feel personally that the Nitro engine's power level is just about perfect for the durability of most average R/C monster trucks. Once R/C's got past the 35mph average speed, especially the monster trucks, that's when breaking them became an "every outing" type of thing. The original REVO nitro 2.5 was tough as nails so long as you left it stock. Same thing with the original Savage 21 and 25, Savage X, the original Losi LST etc.
It's a great truck Kev, but everything is relative and it's all about perspective. I run mine on 6S because it's fun and extremely quick - I'm just careful with it. On 4S it's much more sensible and still quick compared to the other trucks.
The rear wing is prone to splitting - they always go in the same place. But it's not a deal breaker.
This truck is nice to drive.
the corally break away wing shims make a huge difference. Haven't broke a wing since using them
@@NPCRC I'll give them a go! Cheers for the headsup! 🍻👍
Love your videos big fan when is the monster coming out of it's lair to play again loved watching the build absolutely amazing to watch you build your own childhood dream
